After walking for some time, the duo had finally reached a huge mansion.
Which seemed more like, 3 different mansion combined together.
Taking another step nearer to the mansion, Jessica found out that at the gate of the mansion,
there were names engraved on it.
And out of those, there were 3 names that caught Jessica's attention.
The 3 names were also found on the piece of paper.
Without delaying things any further, Jessica sped into the mansion with her inhuman speed,
passing by any obstacles with a breeze.

Soon, she was standing infront of 3 huge strong built guys with buldging muscles.

"Who are you to barge into our mansion like this?!" boomed one of them with authority

"Ice" smirked Jessica arrogantly while her eyes turned blue and pounced onto one of them immediately, not leaving him any time to react.

While she was struggling with the guy, the other 2 came forward and threw Jessica off,
hard onto the ground causing a strong impact on the ground.
Instead of stopping there, Jessica immediately got up and pounced towards them.

On the other hand, Krystal stood by the side,
not offering any help.
In fact, she couldnt offer any because if the Lord hears of Krystal helping,
both of them would get into trouble with the Lord.

But looking at the situation, Jessica seems to be at the losing end.
The 3 strong man, or should i say Lycans were pushing and throwing Jessica onto the ground hard,
making Jessica spit blood.
However, all these didnt make Jessica fall but got up even faster.
Furious and frustrated at it, the 3 immediately transformed into lycans and growled loudly at Jessica,
showing off their menacing teeths.

Krystal's POV

..
They have all transformed..

I cant be bothered so much already!
If they are gonna hurt unnie so badly, i'll come in!"

End of Krystal's POV

"So am i" smirked SeungLee as he walked into the room and stood beside Krystal.

"How did you know we are here?" asked Krystal puzzled at SeungLee's appearance.

"Well, its not too hard to ask around right?"

"Right" said Krystal as she rolled her eyes annoyingly at SeungLee
"And i notice you've been listening to my thoughts again" groaned Krystal

"Well, i cant help it right?"
"We're linked"
"Its just choosing to listen or not"

"You can choose not to"
"Like me who chose not to listen to that crappy mind of yours" snapped Krystal impatiently

"Thats your choice, not mine" shrugged SeungLee with an arrogant smirk before turning back to the battle scene
"Hey!" shouted SeungLee as he waved frantically to Jessica with a syringe in his hands.
"Catch this!"

SeungLee threw the syringe filled with a silvery liquid to Jessica who managed to catch it despite the mess that she was in.

"Inject it, right into their neck!" shouted SeungLee, pointing to his neck.
"Stab it deep to any one of them first!"

Upon hearing SeungLee's instructions, Jessica quickly jumped onto one of the lycans and stab the syringe straight into the lycan's neck and forced the silvery liquid down.
As the silvery liquid was forced down, a loud piercing howl was heard from the lycan as if he was in great pain.
Within seconds, out of 3, one lycan was down onto the ground,
lying motionlessly.

Facing the other two, with a cold smirk, Jessica pounced on the other who was still in a little shocked,
took the chance and snap his neck with a loud crack.
Not wanting to waste any more time, Jessica immediately went on to get the last one down.
As her eyes glowed in bright blue, she forced the last lycan down onto the floor hard.
Pinning the lycan down, Jessica immediately snapped the lycan's neck with yet another loud crack.

After taking down the 3, Jessica stood up and walked off.
Following behind was SeungLee and Krystal.

"She's great" whispered SeungLee to Krystal

Krystal rolled her eyes and gave SeungLee an 'i-know-right' expression.

Within minutes, the 3 got back to the portals and went back to the headquarters.
Jessica wanted to meet the Lord, to complete her mission.
What was running through her mind was, she wanted to complete things fast and probably get back to Yuri and explain it to her.

Jessica's POV

Right, because i cant take care of Yuri now,
like by her side,
i'll watch out for her.
Quietly by a corner..

Yuri, please remember that i'll always love you.
And from now on, i'll always protect you even though i've became a monster.
Real monster that kills yet wont die.

Yul, as long as im able to stay by a corner to watch you,
i'll be real contented and happy.
I promise.

End of Jessica's POV

Entering the great hall with caution steps, Jessica was greeted by Lord's sudden warm affection hug.

"Welcome back dear!"
"I've heard about what you've done!"
"Im soooo proud of you" said Hyoyeon sacarstically with an evil smirk

Jessica quickly pushed Hyoyeon away with a cold expression.

"Awww~" cooed Hyoyeon
"You're my right hand men now" smirked Hyoyeon
"I was right about choosing you!"

"I've done what you want"
"So can i return back to where i belong?" asked Jessica bluntly

"Of course no my dear"
"There's still a long way before i can let you off"
"I need you to conquer the underworld for me"
"From the hands of my brother" said Hyoyeon as her eyes grew in dark red upon mentioning her brother.

"Why should i?"
"Why should i help you?" spat Jessica

"Why should you?" laughed Hyoyeon
"WHY SHOULD YOU?!" repeated Hyoyeon as she gritted her teeth and hissed at Jessica.

This time, Jessica fell onto the ground,
feeling the excruciating pain she felt previously.
Not wanting to give in, Jessica started to fight the pain inside her.
Slowly, getting up on her feets, she threw Hyoyeon a pained expression but her eyes were filled with hatred.

"I.."
"WILL.."
"RETURN.."
"BACK.."
"TO.."
"WHERE.."
"I.."
"BELONG.." hissed Jessica in pain.
"No matter what.. you say.."
"I will.. still return.." added Jessica in tears as she staggered out of the great hall.

Hyoyeon's POV

She's able to withstand my ability?!
I shouldnt underestimate her..
Maybe i should let her have her wish..
FOR NOW.

I have yet gotten a clear look on how strong she is..
Anyway, i could easily control her as long as i have any one of her beloved ones in my hands..

Not forgetting my plan to revenge my brother..
I really hate my father for giving the throne to my brother.
Especially when he's younger than me..
Grrr..

I should getting my revenge back at him by going after his ex-lover.
And make him suffer before going straight at him,
throwing him off the throne.

End of Hyoyeon's POV

While following behind were two shocked figures.
As soon as Jessica got out of Hyoyeon's view, she immediately collasped onto the ground with beads of sweat dripping down her forehead.

"Omo!"
"Kwenchana?!" asked Krystal and SeungLee concernly as they help to pick Jessica up.

"Yeah"
"Im going back to Yuri's" replied Jessica coldly as she started walking away

"No!"
"Unnie dont!"
"Lord will do something to Yuri if you refuse to give in!" shouted Krystal along the corridors

"PRECISELY SHE WILL DO SOMETHING THATS WHY I HAVE TO GO BACK AND PROTECT YURI!"
"DONT YOU UNDERSTAND?!" shouted Jessia in frustration
"I dont want her to get hurt because of me!"
"Im not caught in somewhere i cant get out!"

"We understand how you're feeling right now" said SeungLee calmly
"But its really not a wise thing to do now.."
"Why not we finish Lord's request first before doing anything?"

"ARE YOU GUYS DUMB OR WHAT?!"
"CANT YOU SEE THAT THAT BLOODY LORD OF YOURS WILL DEFINITELY KILL ALL OF US AS SOON AS SHE'VE GOTTEN HER GOAL!" exasperated Jessica impatiently
"I dont know what keeps you two going here"
"But i really want to get out of here"
"Even though i cant live with Yuri, but i WILL" said Jessica, emphasizing on the word 'WILL'.
"I WILL protect Yuri" added Jessica before storming off.

After Jessica left, Krystal and SeungLee went into Krystal's bedroom.
Closing the doors, they sat down and had a mini discussion between each other.

"Do you think what Jessica said is true?" asked SeungLee seriously

"YAH!"
"She's older than us, shouldnt you call her noona?!"

"I cant bring myself to call her noona" shrugged SeungLee
"Anyway, do you think so?"

"Im not sure SeungLee.."
"Now that she mentioned it, i cant doubt the high possiblity of it" admitted Krystal as she averted SeungLee's gaze

"If its true, why not we just leave?" suggested SeungLee
"We can live together in future"

"Are you serious?!" exclaimed Krystal in shock
"You know whats gonna happen if we're being caught right?"

"Yeah, its either we die, or we die" said SeungLee bluntly as he rolled his eyes.

Hearing that, Krystal sighed softly and fell back onto her bed,
staring into the ceiling with a frustrated expression plastered on her face.
While on the other hand, SeungLee just sat down and thought about ways to escape after hearing what Jessica had just said to them.

However, over at Yuri's side,
Yuri was still shocked at what happened then.
Instead of sitting on the floor, she was lying in her bed with tears streaming down her face like a broken water tap.

"Sica.."
"Did you really..?"
"How could.. it be..?" sobbed Yuri in disbelief
"I thought all those auto healing.. was supposed to happen only in fictional stories..?"
"Why is.. it now to us..?"
"Sica.."

Jessica, who was standing quietly behind the door of the room Yuri was overheard Yuri's sobs,
thanks to her superb hearing ability after being transformed.

Jessica's POV

Yul..
How can i..?
How can i let you be with a monster like me..?
Im no longer alive..
My cells are all dead, or if i were to phrase it nicely,
it has been frozen, forever.

And i can never get hurt physically..
Like what Krystal told me..
My physical injuries can heal within seconds.
I can snap one's neck within seconds too.
Not forgetting that i've already snapped a few.

End of Jessica's POV

After standing for hours outside the room,
Jessica finally entered the room after the sobbings inside had stopped.
Yuri had actually cried herself to sleep.
Silently and slowly, Jessica sat beside Yuri and caressed the cheeks of her loved one.
For hours, Jessica just sat there and watch Yuri sleep till it was almost the sunrise.
Before she left, Jessica left Yuri a note on her desk.

Yul,
Im sorry i must have scared you earlier on.
I didnt want to, really.
But i cant bring myself to let you love someone who is like a monster.
And being forced to work for one.

Dont worry about me Yul..
Please, go and look for your deserved happiness.
Just dont forget the love that i've given you.
And all i hope you could do for me,
is to remember that i've always love you.

With that, a last drop of tear dripped onto the note.
The last drop, where Jessica would shed for leaving Yuri's side.
From then on, Jessica would be watching out,
protecting and loving Yuri from a corner.
