Love Story In The Making
"And that's how you balance equations." Chanyeol dotted a point on the chalk board and turned around to you. Information came in from your right and went out from your left, you seriously couldn't understand anything he said. You nodded at him and he walked over towards your desk. Alone after school, Chanyeol decided he would help you on your academic studies which is something that you're not quite strong at. "Show me what you've got, Kim." He said as he took his glasses off and handed you a sheet of paper he just quickly wrote down with those whatchamacallits. Trying hard, you went down and dug deep in your brain for the right ions to match them up with. On the other hand, Chanyeol got out his handycam and began setting it up, fidgeting with the controls. You sighed out heavily and threw the pencil down on your desk.
"I can't do this..." You hopelessly said and looked to the side only to find that Chanyeol was filming you, his feet up on one of the desks and chuckling. "Stop it!" Running towards him, you were annoyed but you couldn't help but smile as you tried to cover the lense.
"No way, do those first and then I'll stop it." Chanyeol teased as he held the handycam above you. He was twice your height and you knew you weren't going to get it anytime soon. You went back to your desk and tried as hard you could, again and again, checking back to Chanyeol everytime you thought you got it right. Thinking as though you only got disappointment, you went back to him one more time, annoyed and looking away as you crossed your arms.
"I'm not in science support for nothing... I at chem. I don't even like it." You confessed to him and he put his camera down.
"Your doing great. Only one mistake." Chanyeol said as he took the pen from your hand before crossing out something and replacing it with another. "Why do you take it if you don't like it?" He asked her, his bottom his pursed out slightly.
"My dad wants me to become some famous doctor or whatever. But that's just not my thing." You shrugged and sat down on the desk in front of him.
"What do you want to do, then?" Chanyeol asked you in a light tone and smiled.
"I want to be an idol." You finally said as you looked off into dead space, daydreaming.
"You would be a good idol." He commented.
"Really? Why is that?" Tilting your head to the side, you asked him.
"Well, you can dance and well, you have to be pretty right..." Chanyeol looked off into the space behind you as he thought about things.
"You think I'm pretty?" You asked him and smiled to yourself.
"Um." Chanyeol looked down at his shoes.
"What are you kids doing in here?" A loud voice came from the doorway. It was the science teacher.
"Sorry, Miss. I'm just heading out right now. We're just heading out right now." The both of you got off from the desks and continuously bowed to the teacher before grabbing your things and running outside.
"That was close." Chanyeol pretended to wipe a tear of sweat of his forehead complete with an exaggerated sound affect.
"Alright, I guess I'm going home now." You announced and felt a tug on your arm as you were starting to part ways.
"Um... It's already late. Don't you think it would be a bad idea to go home alone." He stuttered and tried to escape your uncomfortable stare.
"I have a car, Chanyeol." You responded, chuckling. He let go of your arm.
"Well, okay. Sorry." He rubbed the back of his head and his ears turned pink. "Okay um.. Well.. Alright so.. I'll see you sometimes." He spoke out as he coughed in between words and began walking backwards the other way.
"You mean tomorrow?"
"Yeah, that." With that, he tripped on a pencil that was on the floor. And in no more than two seconds he fell down backwards in one loud thud, landing on his back. You ran up towards him as he tried to get up with his elbows.
"God, Chanyeol." You scornfully laughed.
"Clumsy Chanyeol isn't Chanyeol at all..." He stated as he looked up at you.
"Are you alright?" You couldn't help but laugh out as you tried to pick up his things.
"I'm fine." He winced out humorously, "A bit winded." Breathing in and out he got up on his elbows and you knelt near him with his things in your hands. You couldn't help but smile at him.
"Fine my ."
"That's fine too." Chanyeol playfully said. You gasped and kept your mouth open as you got one of his files and hit him over the head with it.
"So unlike you, mate." As soon as his breathing went down he looked at you again and you stopped.
"Listen," He said before looking ahead of him and ingoring your stare. "Do you wanna do something on the weekend?" Chanyeol finally said and your giddy smile disappeared into a much warmer smile. Not answering for a couple seconds Chanyeol lied back down on the floor and covered his eyes. "Oh my god what am I doing... Someone sav-"
"I'd like that." You finally answered and he slid his hands down his face.
"What?"
"I said yes" You clarified him.
"Really? Cause I'm not up for a pity date if you're thinking that way." Chanyeol crossed his arms and gave a ridiculously exaggrated frown.
"Stop before I change my mind." Threatening him, you held up his file again but smirked a little.
"Okay, okay. Where do you wanna go?" Chanyeol settled you down, holding out his arms to block himself.
"How about the Chanyeol Park, if you know what I mean." He nudged your knee and gave a cheesy smile.
"Oh god." You rested your head on your hand and laughed. "Okay, the park it is."
