I couldn’t help but blush crazily, as Zhou Mi was repeating.

“I love you. I really love you, Henry.”

I kissed him so he would stop repeating and smiled when I slowly moved back.

“No need to say it so many times. I believe you. And…”

I kissed him again, softly, and he kissed me back, until we both needed oxygen.

“… and I love you too, though we don’t know each other that much.”

“You’re so cute.”

“But Zhou Mi has a brighter smile than me. And Zhou Mi is also sweeter.”

“But Henry is better at drawing Mario on a cake, and Henry has adorable mochi cheeks.”

Crap. Lost again.

He laughed and took the long knife on the table before putting it in my hand and wrapping his long fingers around my hand. His long arm landed on my shoulders and he pressed a kiss on my cheek.

“So cute. Should we cut the cake and share it now?”

“It’s your cake. Why do you ask?”

“Because you made it.”

“Okay, okay. Let’s cut it.”

We slowly, carefully cut the cake before making reasonable portions and putting them into plates. I smiled when Zhou Mi bowed his head softly and said ‘rest in peace, fashion Mario’ before starting to eat. He raised his brows.

“It’s so good!”

I blushed softly before tasting it too. I was glad it was good. I had practiced a lot before being satisfied with the results. And I had thrown Kyu out of my kitchen when he had tried to help me out.

“Thanks,” I replied shyly.

I was also happy that the cake was just big enough for two hungry guys. There wouldn’t be anything left to eat before it would not taste good anymore. I hated when it when there were lots of leftovers so I had thought about it when I had made the cake.

“Henry, can I ask you something?”

I tilted my head to the side.

“Yeah?”

“Why did you give me this cake?”

I smiled.

“Do I need any reason to give you something?”

“Not necessarily, but… I was just wondering.”

“Thanks for the clothes. Clothes that I forgot here…”

He laughed softly and I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful his smile was.

“They’re in my room, I’ll go and get them?”

“Okay.”

He went to his room and came back with the clothes. I raised a brow when I saw that he had put them into a cute bag with hearts on it.

“Not the original bag?”

“This bag is cuter. Just like Henry is cuter than me.”

“Oh, you sweet talker!”

He laughed softly and kissed me on the cheek before he went back to his place. I pouted softly.

“Zhou Mi?”

“Yeah?”

“I love you, and you love me, but… don’t you think we should get to know more about each other before… you know… becoming official?”

He shrugged.

“Do you think we should? We could still know more about each other while being a couple. But, if you’d rather know me more before, I…”

“No! It’s okay, I was just asking. You told me about your past relationship with Kyuhyun, and the lack of trust, so I was just asking…”

“Do you think we should?” he repeated, his eyes looking straight into mine.

“I… I…”

I sighed.

“My last relationship ended in a bad way. We started going out after two weeks of knowing each other. I discovered his flaws after a while and… and after one year and four months, I couldn’t take it anymore. He told me I had changed, but… I hadn’t changed. I just… I just tried, at first, to forget about his flaws. But they were too obvious for me to forget about them and I went back to really being myself after a year…”

“I’m sorry. This… I hope it won’t do that to us. Then, maybe we really should learn more about each other before becoming official?”

“I… I don’t know. I don’t want you to think that I’m playing hard to get. It’s just that… yeah. Those memories… I can’t forget about them.”

He nodded and put his hand on mine.

“Then, we should wait. I’ll wait until you are ready to go out with me and trust me with your happiness.”

I smiled, relieved that he could understand me.

“Thanks. It means a lot to me.”

He smiled back and winked.

“I’m not saying I won’t be clingy though. I’m a naturally very clingy person.”

I chuckled.

“Well, I really like it when you’re a clingy person. It makes me feel loved. But, just, don’t cling ‘too much’ okay? When I’m busy, I like to be able to do my things without having someone glued to me.”

“Oh, don’t worry about this. I can understand that.”

I nodded softly, happy that he could understand me, and happy that I could understand him. Maybe we were meant for each other. Maybe we didn’t have to get through all that ‘I need to know more about you’ stuff. But… bad memories can’t be forgotten so easily, though I could feel that what happened with Sungmin wouldn’t happen with Zhou Mi…
