Chapter 2  ; He’s a Cheater.

Graceful pace of fancy heels faintly brushed over the boulevard filled with peebles, producing rhythmic thumps every time they clacked to the ground. A pure happy smile formed as she hummed casually; lips joining the chain of lyrics came from her IPod – completely being her typical care less of others while strolling on the street. Today’s weather was really great; and Alice couldn’t refute the pretty fact surely. The sunshine flared down the Earth with its usual harsh beats, but it’s a lucky little thing when she finally found out; the clouds hanging up in the baby blue sky were shielding her from getting any of those glaring heats. 

She flipped open her cell phone, eyes then locking on a handsome figure which was tight in cuddling her as if she was a big teddy. His goofy expression while trying to sneak a peck on her silken-soft cheek was something really amusing, hilarious enough to make one’s heart dipped into a foam of laughter. The photo was taken on their very first date; when they both screwed into bits and pieces to become much cheesier and certainly sweet. Setting the place only in an ordinary fast-food restaurant, this event had coincidentally possessed a magical radiance of awe for the customers around them.  

By right now, she was hurt. Seriously hurt yet badly injured – both heart and soul. Her glassy brown eyes started to damp with tears, cheeks got stained with the brooking moistures within a second later – she honestly didn’t know how to mend her bleeding own little self. She couldn’t clutch over Hoya anymore; everything seemed to be a literal different by each passing days. They were acting more to strangers than being like friends, abandoning the mutual reality they’re the cutest couple of the college ever. Alice gazed her eyes upon the wallpaper for the once last time, before her fingers flipped the small device shut and slipped it in one of her coat’s pouch.

“Ah- there’s no need to cry, Alice. It’s going to be fine.” she merrily chirped to herself, palms then slashed the tears clean from tarnishing her formally cute, bouncy image. Heels kept on clicking to the ground, lips sealed close to hush down all the pain and twinge that was about to burst out of her chest.

Let’s show no weak and be strong, Alice dear. Fighting!

Her IPod was now playing a sweet love song from a famous girl group called Sistar, titled ‘Shady Girl’ as she walked past the crammed-full street. The song was such an attention-grabber, it was very cute and catchy; Alice couldn’t help but to repeat the song over and over again. Hoya kept on dancing in her mind – yeah, this oh-so lovely Lee Howon was smiling angelically every time she reached the chorus part. Alice couldn’t stay cool any longer for any perfect moment when she cracked into continual giggles, gnashing her palms altogether friskily in the process of ruining her formal being. “Oh. Nearly forget about something.” she softly chuckled; fingers crept in one of the pouch, grabbing a little memo pad in such an instant.

1- Buy Hoya something for this Valentine *U*

2- Prepare a grand-special wrapped-up present for him <3

3- Let’s catch the college and meet him there! Have a sweet talk, coaxing him lovingly.

Go and get him a nice beverage with some munchies.

As he’s busy with lots of tasks, let’s make everything flow smooth :)

4- Tell him all about the ‘meeting-day’ on the day after Valentine.

“Now let’s start with his favorite food. Ah- spongy cheese cake, yeah!”  Alice squawked while prancing down the roadside.  The gentle soothing sounds of mix-up music can be heard from the quaint little shops in the vicinity, in anticipation of the annual Valentine celebration that symbolizes interjection of love to all couples.  The blonde then skimmed on her left and right, trying to catch a proper glimpse of a certain shop.

Painted in alluring, vibrant colours; there’s one shop in particular, stood out among the rest in the middle of the blocks. With Valentine just round the corner, decorative twinkling lights swung from the roof while the front porch is peppered with wreaths of pretty ribbons on the huge muffin-shape board hanging up at the entrance; after all, that is exactly what it is – an eminent bakery shop she had trying to hit on minutes ago. 

This is the right place; she knew Hoya loves all sorts of cake offered in this shop – especially the one and only, spongy cheese cake. She took her cell phone out from her pocket, ticking on the buttons to get the contacted person in line. 

“Hello?”

Alice couldn’t help but to squeal ecstatically at the presence of a voice. At last! He picked up his phone, so yay!

“Alice? Why are you calling me? I’m busy, babe. Stop bothering me, please.”

“Sorry for disturbing you. Um- so are you still in the college?” she asked Hoya over the line.

“Yeah, I’m trying to get this entire works done before evening. Let’s meet up later, okay?”

Her heart bloomed with bliss and joy, she was so happy when Hoya said they’re going to meet up today. Alice missed him a lot; it has been three days since their last moment of ‘eyes-meeting-the-eyes’. Alice planned to make a surprise by approaching him this noon, with his favorite spongy cheese cake and hot chocolate milk in hands – reviving him from all those assignments which had wearing him thin.

A shining gold bell suddenly clanged awake as the main door flitted open; welcoming her nicely into the crunchy-munchies land. Say all what you want – biscuits, buns, breads, cakes, muffins or pies; each will satisfy your insatiable desire perfectly.

“Welcome, miss!” A cheerful lassie loomed upon her; spanking a huge grin on the lips. Alice knitted her pair of brows together; this girl which she understands as a waitress had pulled the heck out of her completely. She shook her head and laughed as she waved her hands over with a bow and a plain ‘hello’.

“What would you like to order, miss?” the petite waitress warmly beamed. “Hot chocolate milk with spongy cheese cake, please.” Alice replied to her politely. “Oh, I would like to add an apple pie to the list, the big-sized one.” she inserted moments later. The waitress swiftly nodded, scurried her pace over to the cake and pie section. While waiting for the beverage and snacks, her eyes roamed to the whole providing space of the bakery shop, enjoying the heartwarming atmosphere and finest scent which was lip-smacking.

The feeling was just great; she was contemplating of Hoya like thousand times already, and almost squeaked like mad people strutting out there – the sensation was pleasantly too overwhelming.  Her head still straying off to the left and right, staring randomly at definite strangers around her – well except her eyes got stuck at the existence of the one she loved so much, giggling happily when a ‘companion’ spooned him a large piece of – cheese cake.

She widened at that. Hoya?
