Building my Boyfriend

Lee Ye Rim's grandfather had always been a little crazy. But how crazy?

     The year is 2012 and Lee Ye Rim, an average seventeen year old, is about to turn 18. A few days after her grandfather's death, she finds a package waiting at the doorstep of her house addressed to her. Curiously, she brings it inside and unfolds the flaps of the box. The first thing that catches her eye is a small, thin squared slip of metal. Ye Rim carelessly throws it behind her when all of a sudden she hears a voice.

"Ye Rim, it's your grandpa."

Startled, she turned around to see a hologram of her grandfather.

"Years ago, I built the first draft for a fully functional robot resembling a human."

The hologram of her grandfather coughed loudly.

"Listen Ye Rim, I need you to complete it. His name is Kibum, and, I want him to be your boyfriend."

The hologram faded and Ye Rim's eyes flickered to the box of her last connection with her grandfather.
