~Sungjong~

I was in the café where I usually go to every morning to satisfy my hunger. Yeah, I know I eat at ‘home’ but I don’t eat much. Like my grandma said ‘Always satisfy your hunger especially when you’re so skinny’. I miss her insulting but wise remarks >.<

So, as I was saying I was at this café reading my book with my glasses, I don’t need them but I like it though. I was shifting in my chair to find a comfortable spot while I’m waiting for Kibum hyung because he volunteered to ‘watch’ on me today.

I was growing impatient already, where is Kibum hyung? Why is he always tardy these days? But a hand tapped my shoulder

“What is a beautiful being here today?” giving me his million-dollar smile

“Hyung!” I tackled him “You’re not tardy” I said amused

“Yah! I have the right to be tardy anytime I-” he stopped when he finally met my gaze

“I’m calling Heechul umma” I warned

“No, my life? Don’t you care about me? He’ll haunt me” he bagged

“Okay just bring me to the orphanage and as your punishment, you have to carry all the boxes” I smirked

~No One~

“Aish!” Kibum whined “brat” he mumbled but never less smiled because it was very difficult to make you react after the incident though he wasn’t the gagman of the whole group, he loved the boy like his own little brother

“Yah! Sungjongie wait for me” Kibum ran towards the younger

~Flashback~

Sungjong was finally released from the hospital after 6 months and SuJu, TVXQ, and ShinEE immediately bought him to their place. They begged all their parents to make a mansion for them, away from the crowded population of Seoul but never less in Seoul just far away……

“Sungjongie, what do you like to do?” Hero entered his room

Sungjong was again staring outside his window; he liked looking outside, imagining his could fly and his future and how he wanted his past to be

“Sungjong-ah, what are you thinking about?” Key asked

“Nothing much……..just thinking” he mumbled

“Okay” they left; they knew Sungjong wanted to be alone even if he is always on his own. Sungjong can’t stop asking himself ‘Why didn’t they at least look for me? Am I that bad?’

Once they Hero and Key was outside, they went to the living room

“What happened?” Leetuek asked

“Nothing much, just the same” Hero replied solemnly

“Why does he keep on staring outside his window?”

“Is he alright?”

“Is he that traumatized?”

Many questions were asked and all were left as a mystery but one person in the room remained quiet, he himself didn’t know what to do and he wasn’t even the closest to the latter but he can’t bare looking at the once bubbly, cute, and hyper boy he admired was long gone. So, he composed himself and analyzed the problem thoroughly and slipped out without being noticed

He knocked on Sungjong’s door

“Neh! Come in” Sungjong replied without care

“What are you doing?” Kibum asked

“Oh! It’s you hyung” the latter said as he looked at his hyung

“Why are you crying?” Kibum worriedly asked

“Oh this?” Sungjong whipped his tears away “Just nothing” he bitterly laughed

“So mind telling me what nothing is?” Kibum asked as he seated himself beside the boy, looking out his window

“Just imagining things like what my future would be, with my dream house and…………my wanted past” Sungjong muttered as tears came rolling by

“You know, staying strong is not always necessary. It’s okay that you shed tears, it doesn’t mean you’re not strong when you do, it just shows that you how strong you have been on keeping all the tears for a long time” Kibum gave a small smile

“What?” Sungjong asked confused

“Shedding tears aren’t sign of being weak, it’s a sign that you’ve been so strong that you can even hide the tears” he said once again

“But I don’t want to worry you guys” the latter mumbled

“So mind telling me what is bothering you? The guys wanted to know, they really care” Kibum looked at the boy beside him

“Am I that horrible of a son?” the latter sobbed slightly

“Horrible? Who said you were? You are opposite of horrible Baby-J; heck you’re nothing near horrible” Kibum ranted

“But why didn’t they look for me? I remember before Sungyeol hyung came when I was 2, they said they’ll protect me and if I needed help they’ll be right by my side” Sungjong cried

“Because they’re too pathetic to notice what they have” Kibum gave a small smile

“Yeah right” the latter mumbled

The room filled silence. Not either of them knew what to talk about because the pain they felt can’t be described by words

“Baby-J” Kibum called

“Hhm” the latter responded

“Don’t cry over worthless things. Don’t cry over your parents. They didn’t appreciate you and they deserve to be abandoned by their own child since they never paid attention to you, okay?” Kibum said in a soft but stern voice

Sungjong was deep in thought. The wise words his hyung said kept circling in his mind

“Don’t cry over worthless things”

“Don’t cry over worthless things” the latter mumbled

“Yeah……” Kibum said

Reality slapped Sungjong square on the face. He realize what his parents have done to him and now his main priority is his cousins

“Thank you hyung…very much” the latter hugged his hyung
