A few days later, it was the first day of school.

Your new high school was called T.O.P. High School. *Must be top class.* You assumed.

You woke up early to take a hot shower and prepare for school. When you came out of the bathroom, the twins were still grumbling incoherently in their pajamas. “Get up or you’ll be late!” Your stepmom screeched. You smiled in amusement and went back up to the attic. You pulled out your new uniform that you had just ironed the night before. You braided your hair, smiled in the mirror, and ran downstairs.

The twins were eating muffins since they couldn’t stand kimchi in the morning.

“Uh-oh. There are no more muffins.” They pouted as if they really felt bad.

You grabbed a banana and chewed on it instead.

“Let’s go girls or you’ll be late.” Your stepmom handed lunch to the twins and they headed to the car. When you came out, they had already left.

You sighed and pulled out your pink bicycle that your dad had gotten you for your 12thbirthday. The front tire often became flat but it would have to do for now. You hopped on and sped off towards your new school. You saw students in the same uniform you were in and smiled *I must be going in the right direction.*

You skidded to a stop and stared at the daunting building.

‘WELCOME TO POT HIGH’ A banner read. Some idiot thought it was funny to mess with the letters.
