"Wooooah" Heechul marvelled at the great walls that surrounded the city.

"Those are high walls indeed" Hangeng whistled.

After a day and a half of walking and strictly following the directions given to them by Pisces, they came across this huge city. They walked towards the closed city gates, when a guard stationed atop the sentry towers called out to them.

"HALT! Who are you and what is your business here?" The guard shouted.

"We are travelers from the small village of Gaum. I am Hangeng and this is my sister Heejin." Hangeng replied.

"We are not accommodating any civilians at the moment. The citadel is full enough as it is because of the Guild Admissions Test. I'm sorry but you have to go." As the guards was supposed to turn and leave, Heechul finally looks up to meet the guard's face. When he saw the guard flush, Heechul knew that he had won his bet with Hangeng.

"Oppa, please don't turn us away. My feet is aching from the long journey..." Hitting the unsuspecting guard with a blast of his aegyo.

"I-im sorry but I really can't let you in my lady. My captain will kill me..."

Geng secretly smirked at Heechul. "Nice try, but I told you it's not gonna work." He mocked silently.

"O-oppa... We have been travelling for almost 7 days. We've lost our horses, our supplies..." Heechul said with a teary face.

"Please... Oppa..." Heechul made a show by wiping his eyes. Giving him a full blast of his aegyo.

"OPEN THE GATES!" The guard shouted at his comrades.

Heechul smirked as he walked through the gates leaving a slack jawed Hangeng behind.

"Come on! You owe me a foot rub! We had a deal." Heechul called back to his friend who still has not gotten over his powers persuasion. Heechul could already feel the soothing hands caressing his feet. Geng shook his head and caught up to Heechul.

Once all the gates were open, the two got their first look of the city. The city for the likes of Hangeng who grew up on a small farming village was breath taking. The paved roads, the neat cluster of buildings, and the amount of people walking and talking at the same time was enough to shell shock anyone seeing the City of Edyssil for the first time.

Heechul was no different. The bustling streets, the shouts of street peddlers, the passing of carriages and the outline of a castle from afar all reminded him of one place. The happiest place on Earth - Disneyland. Heechul's face brightened as he submerged himself within the crowds wanting to take the whole city in. Hangeng followed him behind closely, not wanting to get separated from his friend. They explored the city for an hour before their aching feet forced them to sit and rest.

"This place is so huge!" Heechul gushed like a kid.

"And to think, we're just at the lower levels of the citadel. We still haven't explored the merchant's houses, the pier, and of course Castle Edyssil." Hangeng added.

Both brightened by the concept of city exploration when Heechul's stomach grumbled. Heechul immediately clutched his tummy, embarassed of the sound it did.

"Looks like someone's hungry…" Hangeng joked.

"Well, we have not eaten anything but foraged fruits since the monkey accident... It's not like we can buy food here, we lost our money pouch as well..." Heechul said glumly.

"Let's look for a job then, I'm sure someone will hire us and besides, we need to buy new supplies and also make a few coins just in case we need to purchase something..." Hangeng stood up and pulled his friend to a stand.

The pair searched high and low for someone to hire them, but due to the city's population no one was hiring. Heechul was about to give up when Hangeng dragged him to a noodle shop. The intoxicating smells coming from the noodle shop made both of their mouths to water. Behind the counter was an old woman with a kind face. She smiled at them warmly and motioned for them to sit.

"No, I'm sorry. We haven't got any money to spend" said Heechul.

"My name is Hangeng and this is Heechul. We were actually wondering if you would be willing to hire us. We can cook, clean and carry heavy stuff." Heangeng said pleadingly.

The old lady sighed "Look around boys, you're the only people in here... My business isn't doing good." As she gestured to her empty shop.

"We understand, we're sorry for bothering you." Hangeng said as he pulled Heechul from his seat. Heechul ripped his hand from Hangeng and grabbed the old lady's shoulders.

"What if I said that we can get you're business running strong again." Heechul looked in the old lady's eyes.

The old lady met Heechul's stare and her eyes glazed with a mixture of recognition and fondness. She sighed and spoke

"You remind me so much of my grandson." Her eyes becoming a bit teary.

"Very well, I will hire you." She said. Hangeng and Heechul both smiled brightly.

Heechul out of sheer joy hugged the old lady. The old lady shocked of the sudden contact nevertheless hugged Heechul back like a grandmother would to her grandchildren.

"Now I suppose you would need a roon to stay in?" The old lady broke apart from the hug and looked at the boys who both nodded. "

There is a spare room upstairs which would fit you both comfortable. Oh and you can call me Grandma Jean "

"Oh thank you Grandma Jean! Thank you, thank you! I promise we'll more people in to your shop." Heechul said.

"Old age must be really getting to me. Letting 2 boys work and live in my store for an unguaranteed promise. Now, let's get some food in your stomachs." As the two greedily devoured their free meal, they relayed their story to Grandma Jean omitting the parts regarding the prophecy and the zodiac.

Hangeng and Heechul was lead upstairs by Grandma Jean in to a small room. While the room looked quite lived on, it was very neat and clean. Hangeng looked at Heechul.

"Hey Heechul? How are we going to revive the business? I don't want to lift here hopes up under false claims." He said guiltily.

"Have a little faith on me will you? I know my way around business. Just trust me okay?" Hangeng nodded, he grabbed a pillow and laid on the floor.

"What are you doing on the floor?" Heechul asked.

"Sleeping?"

"You can't be serious? I know your right arm still hurts from when that magma scratched you. Sleeping on the ground can't be too comfortable. Go sleep on the bed, I'll sleep on the floor." Heechul said worried.

"No Heechul, I'm used to sleeping on the floor. You go sleep on the bed. I'm fine, honest."

"Fine. When your arms hurt tomorrow don't blame me." Heechul shrugged as he grabbed a piece of ribbon on the desk and tied his hair up.

It was quiet for a while as the two laid down making themselves comfortable.

"Goodnight"

"Goodnight"

Heechul and Hangeng were finishing their breakfast along with Grandma Jean when they heard someone shouting outside.

"The Guild is now accepting applicants. The preliminary tests will start in exactly one month. Train hard!" The herald announced.

After the announcement, Heechul asked Grandma Jean.

"What is the guild? Why are they looking for applicants?"

"I can't believe that you don't know about the guild! They're known throughout the lands for being heroes and ridding the lands of renegade monsters and agmas."

"Even in the village Heechul. They are well known. All kids fantasize on making it in the guild. The promise of adventure, heroism and gold appeals to every kid..." Hangeng added.

"If there was something as the guild then why were there agmas in your village? From what I can remember from the village elder, those agmas have been plaguing the village for some time now. Why didn't they help?" Heechul furrowed his eyebrows.

"Aside from their waning numbers and tests that gets harder every year, some guild members require gold in order for them to take action." Hangeng said.

Heechul nodded and noticed Grandma Jean staring off in the distance. Heechul touched Grandma Jean's hand as if asking what's wrong. Grandma just smiled and asked

"So, how do you plan on resurrecting my business?"

Hangeng noticed Heechul's sudden change in demeanor and posture. It's as if a he was possessed by somebody else.

"Here is what I would advice, as of now the store is in bad condition. We have no customers thus we have no income. I advice that we close down the shop until we fix the store’s condition." Heechul stood up as he walked around the shop.

"The wall paint is faded and chipped, some of tables and chairs are wobbling and the windows are covered with filth. The first step is making the shop more welcoming and homely." Heechul said looking like an experienced business man.

Hangeng and Grandma Jean looked at each other wondering where this Heechul came from.

"Grandma Jean, we need paint, paint brushes, cleaning rags, a bucket and a couple more things."

"I'll go get my coin purse then." Grandma Jean got her purse and gave Heechul a handful of clothes and sent them on their way to the supplies shop.

Heechul and Hangeng went around the supply shop, Heechul grabbing the items while Hangeng carried them.

"You really know what you're doing huh?" Hangeng said.

"Yeah, I don't know what came over me. I have never handled a business  before. Usually I handled my class when it came to organizing events... Leeteuk told me I was good at bossing people around." Heechul snorted and smiled sadly.

Hangeng noted that this was the first time Heechul talked about the place the he came from. He felt his friend's sadness so he decided to break the tension.

"Well this Leeteuk person is correct, you're a slave driver!" Hangeng joked.

"Yes, yes I am." Heechul smirked as he grabbed a heavy can of paint and placed it on top of what Hangeng was carrying causing his legs to wobble.

They returned to the shop laden with their supplies and began to work.

"First, let's get all the tables and chairs outside. Separate those that need repair from the others."

Both of them carried the furniture outside and tended to those in need of repair. When that was done, they washed and repainted them. The two exhausted from their work that took all morning until afternoon were called by Grandma Jean for lunch.

"Your cooking is great Grandma Jean! I have no doubt that this place will thrive again." Hangeng exclaimed.

"I do hope so boys" as she fondly looked at the two boys that she have taken in, giving them a grandmotherly gaze.

"So what are your plans after? Reviving this store?" She asked them. The two looked at each other and shrugged.

They finished eating their lunch and quickly went back to work.

"Okay, now that the furniture is repaired and drying outside let's get these cracks on the walls fixed up first and then paint the wall afterwards."

Sealing the wall cracks were done in no time. Heechul brought out the paint and brushes and looked at the walls deciding which one would be the accent wall. After all the painting was done the two stood back and marveled at their work.

"All that's left is to clean the windows and walls." Hangeng said.

"And placing the furniture back.". Heechul added.

They cleaned the windows and walls to a shine and also returned the dried furniture in to their proper places. They called Grandma Jean down, proud to show her their work. To say that Grandma Jean was surprised is an understatement. Upon seeing the newly renovated shop she couldn't believe that it was her store. The walls were no longer cracked and chipped. The walls were painted red with a streak of gold painted horizontally throughout the four corners. The tables and chairs were repaired and painted with gold embellishments. Each table contained a small white vase which would be filled with beautiful flowers once the shop opens. The windows were scrubbed to a shine which let the late afternoon light trickle in tinting the whole room with an orange glow.

"Oh it's beautiful! Everything looks so new!" Grandma Jean cried and thanked the both of them, each giving a hug and kiss.

"We still have a lot of things to do before we open though..." Heechul said.

"B-but we repaired and fixed the whole store! What do we still have to do?" Hangeng asked.

"Advertising my dear friend. Advertising." Heechul said.

After eating dinner and taking their respective baths, they readied for bed. All afternoon Heechul has been seeing his friend wincing whenever his right arm was put under stress. This night, Heechul decided was Hangeng's turn to sleep on the bed. Heechul grabbed Hangeng and tried to push him on the bed once they entered the room. Heechul however did not expect Hangeng to reach out to him as he fell and pull him towards the bed as well. Grandma Jean couldn't have picked the most perfect time to open the door to thank the two again. She saw Hangeng lying on the bed with his arms around Heechul's waist who was on top of him. Grandma Jean gave them this look of understanding and giggled

"Sorry for interrupting you boys. I don't know what came over me, forgetting to knock like that. I'm so sorry. Let me leave you love birds alone. Now don't you go exhausting each other now. You have a full day tomorrow. We don't want you dozing off on the job."

"G-grandma! It's not like that! We - I tripped." Hangeng stuttered, clearly embrrassed.

"No-no it's okay. I used to read illustrations back in the day. Goodnight." Grandma Jean closed the door not listening to Hangeng's mumbling.

"Aish, Grandma Jean has an active imagination huh Heechul?" He looked to his friend.

"Ye-yeah old age must have muddled her mind." Heechul agreed who refused to look at Hangeng's face to hide the blush he knew he was sporting.

"Why did you push me to the bed by the way? Sheesh this could all have been avoided if you didn't."

"I knew your right arm was hurting. Don't lie Geng, every time your right arm is put under stress I see you wincing. I know that youu would yet again insist to sleep on the floor so I figured that the only way to make you sleep on the bed was to push you." Heechul confessed.

"Fine, but we have to share it. I see you too Heechul. When you wake up during the times that we slept on the ground, your back and neck would always hurt."

"Fine" Heechul said.

"Fine" Hangeng answered.

It was only then that he noticed that Heechul was still on top of him. He also noticed his arms still wrapped around Heechul's waist. It was his turn now to blush and look away.

"Uhh Heechul?" Hangeng called to his friend still not looking at him.

"What?" Heechul asked.

"Can you get off me now?" Hangeng said as he blushed brighter.

Heechul on the other hand looked at the position of their bodies and scrambled off of Hangeng.

"Sorry" Heechul said as he went to the left side of the bed and turning to his side facing away from Hangeng. As the heat coming from Heechul's body dissipated from Hangeng's skin, he couldn't help but feel cold. He turned to his side facing away from Heechul and answered.

"It's okay."

Heechul replayed their conversation and wondered when the both of them started to pay attention to one another. He shook his head and undid the ribbon to kept his long red hair up and away from his face..

"Goodnight Heechul"

"Goodnight Hangeng"

They fell asleep dreaming of warm places. Hangeng woke up first as he felt the sun hitting his face. He felt something warm on top of his right arm and the side of his body, he pulled the warm object closer to his body and enjoyed its warmth. He fell asleep. After a while it was Heechul who awakened. He clutched at his warm pillow nuzzling on its warmth.

"Pillow? I don't remember having a pillow..."

Heechul cracked open one of his eyes and looked at his pillow. It was no pillow, it was Hangeng. He was lying on Hangeng's right arm and nuzzled to his side. Hangeng was about to remove himself when he heard his friend mumble something.

"Mmff mmm warm" Hangeng mumbled.

Heechul looked at his friends face. Hangeng's face was relaxed and his lips were set in a small contented smile.

"He looks like a kid who was given candy"

Unknown to Heechul, someone opened the door and saw him looking at Hangeng's face with a smile. Grandma Jean cleared loudly waking Hangeng and getting Heechul's attention. She gave her knowing look at the two and said

"Breakfast is ready. Or would you like yours in bed?" She closed the door laughing.

"That woman has the worst timing" Heechul said.

"That she has..." Hangeng agreed.

Heechul pulled back and sat at the edge of the bed, yawning. Hangeng shook out his right arm and massage it. Heechul saw this and asked

"Does it hurt? I know I should have slept on the floor." He said concerned.

"No-no it doesn't hurt. Just fell asleep 'is all" Hangeng stated.

Seeing his friend still unconvinced, he added

"I'm okay, really. I had the best sleep in weeks." Fully realizing the implication of what he said, he hastily added.

"The soft warm bed is a welcome change from the cold hard floor."

"Okay, let's get down. There's no telling what that crazy woman would think of next when we stay here in bed longer."

The pair stood up and went to breakfast.

"So how do we advertise the shop?" Hangeng asked Heechul as he finished his breakfast.

Heechul smiled which sent shivers down Hangeng's spine.

"This will not end well" Hangeng thought.

Hangeng was sitting at a restaurant on the pier alone when Heechul entered the restaurant. He passed Hangeng's table and did a double-take.

"Hangeng? Is that you?" Heechul asked animatedly.

"Heechul? Yes its me, Hangeng!" Hangeng answered with the same intensity.

"WOAH! I hardly recognized you! The last time I saw you, you were as BALD as an egg!" Heechul emphasized the word "bald" as he noticed the people around the bar looking at them.

"I am so going to kill you for this, Heechul." Hangeng thought and kept his smiling face.

"I know right! People tell it to me all the time!"

"What's your secret?" Heechul asked.

Hangeng looked around and motioned for Heechul to come closer. Heechul saw the whole restaurant lean a bit closer to hear the "secret" as well. Hangeng "whispered" to Heechul loudly enough for the whole restaurant to hear.

"It's the noodle shop down at the lower part of town. I must warn you, it doesn't work for everyone, but the food's taste is more than enough to make up for the small cost. It's a bargain! Go in there with bald head and come out with good food in your stomach, then after a month you go in with a head full of hair! It's a win-win!"

"Wow! I wanna go there now!"

"No, not yet. They're renovating, tomorrow is their opening day. If I were you I'd go there early. You're not the only one I told the secret to."

They did this "guerrilla advertising" as Heechul would call it to a few more locations throughout the city. Each location they changed their lure. For one location Hangeng was asked by Heechul how come his face didn't resemble a face who had been stung by a thousand of bees because of pimples. When that was done, they decided to walk a bit more before dinner. They went back to the pier and took a stroll on the seaside. While walking, Heechul felt the key of Pisces stir. He pulled it out of his pocket and placed it on top of his palm. The key swirled and finally pointed towards the sea.

Hanalei+pier+morning.jpg

"Our next destination must be beyond the sea..." Hangeng guessed.

Heechul went to a nearby sailor and asked. "What lands lie over that direction?"

"Hmm... The lands of winter hold from what I can remember." The sailor answered.

"How do we go to that land?" Heechul asked.

"Well there is a boat that travels their once a month. But it would cost you though. For one passenger the ticket is sold at 200 gold pieces. A heft price if you ask me."

Heechul looked at Hangeng still not familiar with the land's currency and how much things worth. Hangeng's mouth dropped.

"It would be a miracle if the shop reaches 10 gold a day even if all those we advertised to went!"

The sailor answered "Well unless you would be willing to swim to get there, I see no alternatives. Goodluck." The sailor said and went back to his work.

"Unless we find a way to make that kind of money we're gonna be stuck here for a looooong while." Hangeng said.

"Let's not think about it for the mean time. Let's focus first on the shop's opening tomorrow." They went back to the shop and told their success to Grandma Jean.

"A smart way of getting customers... Though a bit conniving and deceiving..."

"Don't worry Grandma Jean, your good cooking will make up for it. If they continue eating after the month is up, then they stayed for the food."

"I have a question though. If the people recognized you working here, won't they think that you set them up?"

"Y-you're right. . Damn. I didn't think of that."

Heechul fidgetted and pulled the ribbon ties to his hair. Heechul's red hair flowed down like a red curtain and framed Heechul's face.

Grandma Jean and Hangeng looked at each other with a conspiratorial grin.

Heechul's guerilla advertising worked like a charm. When Hangeng opened a small window the he saw a huge line that reached up to the end of the block waiting for the store to open.

"Grandma! Can you see how many people there are outside! It even reached the end of the block!" Hangeng exclaimed.

"Really??" Grandma's eyes went wide as she peeked out the window.

"Where's Heechul? He should see this." Hangeng asked.

"Still upstairs getting ready." Grandma Jean answered.

Behind them, someone coughed. They both turned and saw Heechul wearing a red hanbok with red flowers stitched all over the beautiful material. The hanbok hugged his features perfectly highlighting his curves from his waist to his slender shoulders. His waist was cinched by a black cloth to show off his slim waistline. Heechul's face on the other hand was left barely untouched. There was kohl on his eyes which made his already big eyes bigger and his lips were painted a pale pink. His hair was tied in to a neat bun with 2 chopsticks to anchor it nicely, a strand of hair was left to fall at the side of his face to make him more carefree -approachable to others.

Grandma Jane smiled and went to Heechul taking both of his hands. "You look so beautiful. I never remembered myself looking that beautiful wearing that hanbok." She added.

Hangeng was utterly shocked; his jaw was still slack as his eyes roamed all over Heechul's body. His ogling was interrupted when Grandma Jane looked at him clearly waiting for an answer?

"I'm sorry what? I didn't hear you."

"I said, doesn't Heechul look beautiful?" She repeated again.

Hangeng his lips, and he coughed feeling his throat dry.

"See what you like?" Heechul teased.

"Yeah, he looks good I guess. For a guy." regretting it after he saw a flash of anger comes across Heechul's face.

"Are you kidding me? He looks better than most girls in the city!" Grandma Jean asked him incredulously.

"I'll open the shop. You guys stay here and wait for the orders." Heechul said.

Heechul went out of the kitchen to open the store doors. Hangeng tried to say something else but Heechul quickly left the kitchen. Grandma Jean sighed loudly. Hangeng turned at her and asked

"What?"

Grandma Jean shook her head and answered.

"Kids nowadays. So clueless." She shook her head and began preparing the ingredients.

Heechul greeted the customers warmly and pointed them to their seats. He gave each table a menu and took their orders, giving Hangeng the orders through the small window. Men ogled at Heechul making wolfcalls as he went pass them. Hangeng looking through the small window chopped the poor celery in to a pulp.

"Strands! I said strands not pulp!" Grandma Jean shouted at Hangeng causing the other to pay attention to what he was cutting.

"Sorry Grandma..."

Heechul handled the men with a combination of wit and charm. Not wanting to lose customers, instead of his usual reaction to advances which is mainly consisted of extreme violence, he discouraged them with his sharp tongue careful not to overdo it and keep it light and funny.

"What would be your order sir?" Heechul asked.

"You my dear." A sailor said as his friends cheered on his advances.

"Sorry sir, I'm not in the menu just for anyone." Heechul leaned in closer and whispered at the man's ears.

"It takes a VERY, VERY special customer to order me." He said seductively and blew at the sailors ears for good measure.

"Uuhhhh..." The sailor reddened and was left unable to form a coherent sentence leaving his friends to order for him.

Hangeng saw the whole exchange as he crumpled the order slip on his hands.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Grandma Jean threw a ladle at Hangeng's head.

"OUCH! Grandma!!" Hangeng shouted.

Heechul even with his back turned to the kitchen, heard the exchange and smirked.

"Kamsahamnida! Please come back again!" Heechul said as he thanked the last customer for the day.

When the customer came out, Heechul closed the store and went in to the kitchen.

"And we are done!" Heechul said.

Grandma Jean washed off the last plate and wiper her hands. She went to Heechul and hugged him.

"This is the most customer I ever had since... Well... Since ever!" She laughed as she started to fuss over Heechul's hair.

"I'm so happy. I was contemplating on closing the store but then you arrived. Thank you so much."

"Hey I did something too!" Hangeng said feeling a little jealous of Heechul.

"You! You kept pulping the celery! You kept on crumpling the order slips, and when I assigned you to wash the dishes you scrubbed them until they got scratched!" Grandma Jean scolded him.

Heechul snorted as he saw Geng's reaction to being scolded.

Geng irritated by Heechul's laughing snapped at him.

"What are you laughing at? You barely did a thing! You just flirted with the customers!"

Hangeng really wished that he was mute that day, this is the second time today that he regretted something that he said.

"What?! Have you tried carrying a full tray WHILE wearing a hanbok WHILE avoiding getting d?! I have to deal with men without offending them so they would return! All that I have to do in HEELS!"

"I am SO sorry for not doing much Geng! I'm tired and my feet are killing me Grandma Jean. I'm gonna sleep this off." Heechul walked up the stairs leaving Grandma Jean and Hangeng on the kitchen.

"Boy what is wrong with you?" Grandma Jean smacked his head and went upstairs.

Hangeng dropped his head on the table repeatedly.

"What -is -wrong -with -you?" He asked himself as he banged his head.

Meanwhile Heechul was upstairs sitting on the bed. What Hangeng and Grandma Jean didn't know was Heechul's feet bleeding and aching. His skin rubbed the insoles so much he can't even remove as the pain was excruciating. Hangeng came in their room and saw Heechul grimacing as he slowly removed his shoe. Hangeng ran to Heechul's side and took a closer look.

"Chullie, what happened? Why didn't you tell us that your shoe was hurting you this much?" Hangeng asked worriedly.

"Guess I was too busy flirting with the customers to notice." He shrugged.

Hangeng winced and said "I'm sorry Chullie. I don't know what came over me. I was just so irritated and angry today. I don't know why."

He looked at Heechul's huge eyes showing his sincerity and guilt. Heechul sighed,

"I guess you can't give me my foot rub today..." Heechul smiled.

"After this heals, I will give you foot rubs anytime that you want." Hangeng smiled back.

"Do you forgive me Chullie?" He asked the red haired male.

"There's nothing to forgive, I guess I overreacted. Dressing as a girl does things to you..." Heechul snorted.

"You look beautiful Chullie..." Hangeng looked at his FRIEND'S face. His FRIEND. Who happens to be a GUY. Hangeng, looked away at the idea and turned his attention to the injured feet.

"We have to remove these shoes Chullie."

"Chullie?" Heechul asked.

"Don't you like it? It's easier to say Chullie than Heehul. It's also less formal."

"No, I like it." Heechul smiled.

"I'm gonna do this slowly okay?" Hangeng warned Heechul. Heechul nodded and said that he was ready. Hangeng slowly removed the shoe as Heechul put both his hands on the both sides of Geng's shoulders. Small pieces of skin were torn away along with the shoe. Heechul hissed and gripped Hangeng's shoulder harder. Once the left shoe was off Hangeng grabbed a small basin and a pitcher of water. He also grabbed a healing balm and bandages. He placed Heechul's left foot on thr basin and washed the blood off. He then applied the healing balm and finally bandaged it. While he was doing this Heechul looked at Hangeng's face as the other concentrated on his work. He saw Hangeng's lips move but didn't hear what he said.

"What? Can you repeat that?" Heechul asked.

"I said, does your let feet still hurt?"

"Not so much anymore."

"Okay, let's work on the right foot now." Heechul raised his Hanbok to his knees and crossed his right leg over his left to give Geng an easier access.

Geng slowly removed the shoe, this time more skin came off along the shoe. Heechul grabbed Hangeng's hair as the pain overwhelmed him. He hissed and called out Hangeng's name wanting to stop the pain. Hangeng endured the pain of getting his hair pulled and slowly removed the shoe.

"Gengie!" Heechul called out because of the pain.

"Are you gu- O MY freakin !" Shouted Grandma Jean as she open the door to see Heechul sitting on the edge of the bed, back turned towards her with his hands nestled on Hangeng's hair who on her perspective was kneeling on the floor in front of Heechul.

"I'm so sorry!" Grandma Jean immediately closed the door.

"Wait! No! It's not what it looks like!" Hangeng called out to her.

"Let her think what she wants to think. We must be her only form of entertainment." Heechul smirked.

Hangeng removed the shoe and repeated the same process. With both Heechul's feet bandaged he helped him lie down before walking to the other side of the bed to lie down as well. Heechul pulled out the chopsticks sticking from his hair and let his hair fall down.

"Goodnight Chullie"

"Goodnight Gengie"

A week passed by with the same routine. Heechul would take care of the customers, while Hangeng and Grandma Jean prepared the food and washed the dishes. Heechul's foot was still bandaged; he no longer wore those death trap shoes and used comfortable but still stylish slippers. One day a group of men entered the restaurant.

"Have you heard? The guild changed their admissions rules. They are now recruiting teams of 2 people."

"Oh, how will they test the pair then?"

"Well I heard they would be tested by pairs as well."

"The challenges must be twice as hard now that there are two people involved"

"But think of the perks that you would be getting when you become a guild member. The mission board would be filled with tons of missions that has great rewards! Even the lowest ranked missions give a minimum reward of 100 gold!"

"Forget it, remember what happened with the trials 5 years ago? Out of the 100 applicants 80 got knocked off at the preliminaries alone. 16 quitted at the last moment while the 4 died. Those wavers of liability have a purpose." one man said.

Heechul's interest peaked at the mention of the 100 gold rewards.

"And that was the minimum reward! After we finish three or four of those quests we're all set!"

"Excuse me oppa, I can’t help but overhear your conversation. Are there any other requirements necessary in order for the pair to be able to sign up?" Heechul asked the table.

"Well, as far as I know, everyone is welcome to join. Man or woman, as long as you’re past the age of 15. But you should stop concerning yourself with these kinds of things. A beautiful woman like you wouldn't know anything about bloodshed and killing. I suggest you run along and look pretty." The man said sweetly.

"Oh i'm just curious oppa, please enjoy the rest of your meal." Heechul said just as sweetly.

He left the men’s company and went to Hangeng.

“I know how we are going to earn money.”

Is it only me with the impression that the foreword story is kinda inspired in Tears to Tiara + Greek mythology? XD

Chapter 8: wow, totally would wait for your next chapter..
this is not a mere fanfics to me.
this has been a book filled with chapters that excite me.
cant wait for next chapter.

for this chapter, i can surely think that midnight walk by Zelo's hyung (sorry i cant remember names) and the talk with alister is related.
it amaze me to no end how you could come up with this story..
it remind me of an anime (god save our king) at first but turn up to be completely different..

patiently waiting for the next chapter.
