Na Eun’s POV:

The next day I walk to school. Every now and then, I’ll stop and brush dirt off my shoe.

“Kim Na Eun!” Hyun Joong called out to me.

“Oh…Oppa!! You are waiting for me?”

“I’m afraid that you’ll lose face in the relay so I’m here to practice running with you. Oh..new running shoes?” Hyun Joong asked looking down.

“I broke my piggy bank secretly.” I said smiling.

“You will run faster if you stretch your arms out when passing the baton to me.” Hyun Joong said to me as we walk to class together. Since our classroom floor is wooden, we’ll remove our shoes before entering our classroom and place it together with our bag in the lockers located at the back of our classroom.

“Just don’t stop running but don’t force yourself if you can’t run. The fastest way is to use your right hand to receive your baton from the other runner since you’re right-handed. Raise your hand around waist-level so it’s easier.” Hyun Joong continued as we placed our things in the locker. “Be ready two to three seconds before the baton is passed to you. Remember to grip the baton tightly.”

When Mrs Park enter the class, I took out the indemnity with my mum forged signature and gave it to her.

“Since your Mum agrees to it, you may participate in the relay. All the best Na Eun!” Mrs Park said smiling at me.

During Physical Education, Hyun Joong practice passing the baton with me and giving me tips at the same time.

“Good job Na Eun. Just do the same during the race and you’ve no problem.” Hyun Joong told me as we take a break from the practice.

“Alright!! Thanks so much oppa!!” I beamed at him. Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Chae Rim and Min Ji glaring at me.

Today is my turn to do class duty. After sweeping the floor, I took the garbage out and dumped it at the garbage shed in our school courtyard. After finishing what needs to be done, I walked back to class to pick up with my bag.

“Kim Na Eun! You better win the race tomorrow. If not you’ll become the laughing-stock of the class!” Chae Rim threatened me as I walk past them.

“Ne….”

*I’ll do my best tomorrow! I’m definitely going to win the race!! I’m tired of people looking down at me! Just wait and see..Chae Rim and Min Ji.. I’ll prove it to you guys.*
