Hyun Joong’s POV:

The music played in the background as Hyun Joong and his manager (Kim Byung Soo ) wait for their 5pm flight to Korea in the VIP waiting room of the airport. He had just finished his new album ‘Break Down’ promotion in Taiwan.

“See ART. Your songs can be heard wherever we go. Even when we are sitting in this VIP waiting room,” said his manager. “Well of course! It is me who transformed you from a punk into a superstar. Only I, Kim Byung Soo can do that!” His manager rattles on as Hyun Joong absent-mindedly twirl a small bottle with preserved lavender between his fingers. “This Taiwan promotion has been very successful. I’ve been thinking about promoting your album in Korea too. We’ll break into Korea after Taiwan. The public adores idol like you now.” Manager Kim stops talking and look at you only to see you continue playing with the bottle in your hand. “Are you listening to me?”Manager Kim asked, sounding irritated. “You know I’m the one. Why else would you waste time on me?” I asked, placing the bottle down before heading into the washroom to wash my face. Looking at my reflection in the mirror I flash back to 11years ago.

Flashback

 “This is for you. It’s lavender. Keep it so you’ll feel that I’m by your side.” 10 yrs old Hyun Joong said as he gives a bottle with lavender in it to Na Eun.  “If possible, could you return because of me?” Na Eun asked. “On your twenty-first birthday. When the lavender blooms, we will reunite in school” Hyun Joong replied, smiling. Na Eun lifted her little finger and Hyun Joong joined his with hers. “Pinky promise!”, both of them smiled.  *Because of you. I’ll return.* Hyun Joong thought to himself.

End of flashback.
