"... And one, two, three, four... Wait, wait. Stop, just stop." 

Chaerin bit back the urge to groan as she stared at the choreographer, who had stopped her for the fifteenth time already. She is not exactly gifted with the talent of dancing but she was really doing her best to keep up with the choreography. But apparently, the choreographer wasn't at all satisfied on how much effort she had put on her performance at all.

"It's not this... it's this," The choreographer said with a stressed tone as he tapped on to Chaerin's leg twice.

Chaerin nodded and bowed slightly. "I'm sorry. I promise I'll try harder."

"Right, start again." The choreographer said, nodding as the music began to blare again from the speakers.

As Chaerin tried her best to re-enact the same movements that they have been practicing since morning, she couldn't help but feel slightly annoyed and angry at the choreographer. Everyone from SM Entertainment knew that she was not exactly the best dancer around, and they knew that she always give it her best shot in every dance that she participates in, but this choreographer is definitely pushing her limits right now. She always had to resist the urge to yell at him to stop criticizing her every movement she makes in the studio, as she knew that the consequences are not really pretty to look at. Yes, she was biting down her pride right now, but if the choreographer is going to make another criticism of her dancing, she's definitely going to lose it. Why can't he see that she's been giving her all in this dance training?

Victoria looked through the slightly opened door to see the exact girl she has been looking for a while now was training extra hard in this dance practice. She looked exhausted and Victoria couldn't help but wonder how long has she been practicing in that room. She continued to watch the girl practice, unaware that she had a busy schedule planned out for the afternoon.

In the middle of the song, Chaerin's legs suddenly gave way and she collapsed to the floor. She stared at the ground as she felt tears beginning to form in her eyes. Her fists balled as she tried to get up, but the choreographer stopped her from doing so. He sighed and crossed his arms.

"Take a break. We'll practice again in half an hour."

Chaerin just stared at him defiantly as she took a deep breath, watching him as he left the room. Silence enshrouded the studio as Chaerin realized that she was alone... She hated that feeling of loneliness. It makes her feel weak and vulnerable. She always hated that word ever since people had begun telling her that she's always alone. Chaerin wasn't allowed to be alone, she couldn't be alone.

The choreographer ignored her presence as he swept by her, abandoning the young girl by herself in the room. Victoria looked back to see that Chaerin was still there, looking distressed and discouraged. She felt her heart break a little at the sight of her, but she knew that Chaerin's been going through a very rough training for a while now, so she must be able to endure it to this point. Victoria took this opportunity to enter the room, gathering the courage and fixing her expression to be blank.

"Chaerin-sshi?" Victoria asked, even though she already that it was her.

Chaerin immediately looked up and rushed to her feet, staggering a little from the sides as her legs struggled to find the strength and support she needed right now. Victoria went by her side and held her elbows, steadying her as she began to gain balance again. 

"Thank you, Victoria sunbae," Chaerin murmured as she bowed slightly before the older girl. Victoria let out a small smile and said, "You can call me Victoria unnie, if you want. After all, we're going to be label-mates in the future, arasso?"

Chaerin cracked a smile. "Ne..."

Silence once again covered the room.

"Chaerin-ah, you're manager told to get you, since the both of us have a photoshoot later this afternoon..." Victoria said, trying to break the tense silence between them. Chaerin bit her lower lip, slightly troubled. She was pretty sure that the choreographer would definitely be pretty angry when he realized that she just left the dance studio. "Really? But.. I have to practice..."

"What time did you start your practice?" Victoria questioned.

"I started practice since 8 AM, unnie." Chaerin replied. Victoria was surprised that the young female had been practicing since morning, but she managed to hide it with a blank expression. It was now the middle of the afternoon and she is still here practicing like there's no tomorrow. 

"Let me see your schedule." Victoria said. She wanted to see how badly the young trainee's schedule was. Chaerin rummaged through her bag and pulled out her schedule. From what she heard about the girls' schedules from their manager, it started about a month ago to the date of their debut. So far, Chaerin only has one day for rest, two days for a not-so conflicting schedule, and the rest are definitely busy schedules. Victoria was once again shocked when she saw that today was one of her days of not-so uptight schedule, meaning she could either have the morning or afternoon free of any training. But on that day were highlighted with notes from the bottom, saying that it would be a full dancing schedule. But Victoria knew that the handwriting was neither from the choreographer, the CEO of SM Entertainment, nor Chaerin's manager.

She knew that it was from Chaerin herself.

"Why do you have the whole day of dance training?" Victoria asked. Chaerin looked at her with determined eyes. "Unnie, everyone knows that I have the best vocals but the worse choreography among us trainees who are chosen to debut in SOUL. I wanted to improve my dancing so I can show everyone that I am as good as our Main Dancer, while trying to not make a fool out of myself if we were to dance on stage. So I asked Mr. Lee Soo Man and our manager if I could have the whole day for dance practice instead."

"But, Chaerin-ah, this is really going out of your boundaries..." Victoria began, but the younger female immediately cut her off. "I'm not trying to play safe here. I'm trying to achieve my dream of debuting on stage with my fellow group-mates, label-mates and idols. If it means going through this rough training to achieve it, I'm willing to sacrifice everything for it."

Victoria definitely knew that she knew that Chaerin had always been the 'Confident Songbird' around SM Entertainment, and that nickname has never failed to make a mistake about her. The main dancer of f(x) was extremely touched by Chaerin's confidence and persistance to achieve her dream, but that doesn't mean she could just improve her dancing all day long when her manager already made a different schedule for the two of them today.

"Grab your bag and let's go. We still have a photoshoot to get to," Victoria said firmly. Chaerin blinked a couple of times. "What? But, I need to — "

Victoria cut her off, holding out her hand in front of the young girl's face. "No buts. Your manager already laid it out for you. And don't worry about your choreographer or your schedule. Your manager already dealt with it. Besides, you're a little behind your new schedule, Chaerinnie ~ "

"Yah! It's Chaerin!" She exclaimed, shooting Victoria a glare as she grabbed her bag and water bottle before catching up with f(x)'s leader. Victoria just laughed it off and linked her arms with the younger female, making their way out of the room for their photoshoot.
