Chapter 7

The Prophesy Revealed

                “Prophesy…coming…hurry!”

                It took just those three words to set everyone into action. Sungmin, Donghae, and Eunhyuk immediately disappeared from sight, leaving only black wisps of smoke behind. Shindong carried Yesung to the stairway, who was so overwhelmed with pain that he couldn’t walk. Once Shindong sat him down on the first stair, Ryeowook kneeled down in front of him, holding his head with both of his now glowing white hands and whispering, “Stay with me Yesung. It’s going to be ok. Just stay with me.” Kyuhyun took a seat just behind the black haired-man, and concentrated on the back of his head. Siwon took Katrina’s hand.

                “Let me take you to your room. You don’t want to see this.” He started to lead her away, but Leeteuk stopped them.

                “No, let her watch. I have a feeling this prophesy will be about her.” He explained. Katrina walked up to Leeteuk, glancing at the still screaming Yesung.

                “Is he going to be ok? What’s going on?” she asked, suddenly concerned for her new clan member.

                “Yesung is our oracle. He has the ability to see visions and give prophesies with the help of ancient spirits. The only thing is, when the spirits try to convey an especially important prediction, their energy tends to cause him a lot of pain. He should be ok as long as Ryeowook keeps Yesung’s spirit from accidentally passing to the other side and Kyuhyun makes sure his mental state is stable over-all.”

                Yesung gave another painful scream.

                “Leeteuk,” Ryeowook’s eyes were panicked. “The spirits are about to take over.”

“His mental state is close to insanity!” Kyuhyun added. “He’s about to give the prophesy! Where’s Sungmin with the book?” At that, Sungmin reappeared with a black leather bound notebook and a matching black feather quill pen.

“Got it!” he yelled as he strode over to Yesung and kneeled down on one knee next to him. At the same time, Eunhyuk and Donghae materialized holding a bag of water and a pink pillow respectively.

“Ok, I think we’re ready,” said Leeteuk. “Ryeowook?”

“It’s happening!” Ryeowook yelled as Yesung’s head suddenly snapped up, causing the others to jump back. His eyes glowed a bright gold color as he gradually stood from his resting spot. He walked very slowly towards Katrina, and started to speak in a low, foreboding voice:

Nine plus three shall go to the land where darkness now reins,

And will find the ones that are freed, yet are bound with chains.

When the lights of truth and deceiving darkness battle, one will remain,

But the one who holds the Earth will bear the burden once again.

At that point, Yesung was only inches from Katrina as he whispered the last lines:

And only time will ever tell,

If his doom can be avoided as well.

As the last words escaped from Yesung’s lips, his eyes turned to their normal, deep brown color. He stared at Katrina for a moment, his face full of pity and exhaustion, and then closed his eyes as he started to collapse. Fortunately, Shindong was ready to catch him, and he gently laid Yesung onto the floor. All at once, everyone surrounded their friend. Donghae carefully lifted Yesung’s head a couple of inches off the ground and placed the pink pillow beneath it.

“Hey!” Sungmin exclaimed, “That’s my pillow!”

“Hush!” Siwon scolded his apprentice.

Katrina watched as Eunhyuk took the bag of water in both hands. He slowly inhaled, and then exhaled a bluish white frosty breath which froze the water into ice cubes.

“Neat trick,” Katrina thought as she started to smile, then stopped herself “What are you saying Katrina!” she scolded herself, “You should be freaked out by all of this!” However, despite her inner conflict, she continued to observe. Eunhyuk then gingerly placed the newly made ice pack onto Yesung’s forehead.

Ryeowook placed his glowing hands on Yesung’s head once more and closed his eyes. After a few moments, Ryeowook opened his eyes, letting out a sigh of relief.

“He’s ok. The spirits have left him, but he needs to rest for a few minutes before he wakes up. That possession really took a number on him.” He informed the others. They too sighed in relief.

“Did you write down all that he said Sungmin?” Leeteuk asked. Sungmin nodded.

“Yep, to the letter!” he grinned as he stood up. “I’ll take Yesung’s book back to his room.” He vanished. Leeteuk then stood up as well.

“Ok, Donghae, Shindong, please take Katrina’s things to her room once you get a minute. Siwon, make sure everyone is fed and in the training room in two hours. The rest of you, take Yesung to his room after he wakes up. He needs to rest for a few hours. I’m taking Katrina to my office.” He ordered as he turned towards Katrina. “I believe I have a lot of explaining to do.”

Sorry this is a short chapter, but today's been really hectic. Plus, I felt that if I combined the next scene with this one, the chapter would be too long. I will try to post the next chapter up by tomorrow :)

Can you guys guess what Yesung's prophesy means? I bet you can't ;) hehe
