Personalities Part 2: Goals
How To Write a PROPER Storythe goals
The next key thing involving characters is their goals. This chapter will be shorter because there isn't much that needs to be talked about concerning goals. The word itself is self-explanatory.
So, why are goals important? They are the things the character is aiming for, the reason why they are doing whatever they are doing. Now not all characters have goals...an example is school. If the character has a goal, it would be to get through school and go to College or University...but if the characters i being forced to go to school they have no such goals...in fact if they have any, then it would be that they escape from school and do whatever school is holding them back from doing.
Goals create a purpose for your character, a reason for their existance in your story. They help build up their character, and help bring to life what they want. It helps guide their story...and it helps the author and audience get to know them :)
I'm sorry for the short chapter...there isn't much that can be said about goals. By the way, barely anyone's commenting on this and that tells me no one is reading it. Even if you just ask for an update, that's fine.
