The familiar sound of chairs squeaking made Taemin feel at ease. He fell back into his seat and tried to forget all of the melodrama that had occured the day before. What the ignorant newspaper article had said about him and his family. Of course, they had gotten half of their story correct. His father had, indeed, broken the OHS laws and fled the country. But he was a good man. A coward, maybe, but good none the less.

With a sigh, he flipped open the pages of his Literature notebook, attempting to conjure a story with the prompt, 'She made my heart beat a thousand times faster with her beauty'. It was difficult, and Taemin had no inspiration. He had no muse, and no one was pretty enough to make his heart skip a beat. Looking around the classroom, Taemin's eyes landed upon a messy tangle of red hair, nestled into the crease of her elbow. He cautiously poked her arm. Nothing. Nana was asleep.

So were the majority of the other students sitting in his row, Taemin mused. He slid her plain notebook from under her head and began to read what she had wrote.

She was the sort of bookish, quaint girl who let people step over her like a piece of paper. With the  longest lashes I had ever seen, she took my breath away with each glance. She had chatoyant eyes, that glimmered when happy, and such opulent and succulent lips. She made my heart beat a thousand times with her beauty. The only strange part was that we had never even properly conversed.

He quickly threw the book across the table, surprised and proud. So she was smart. Big deal. Yet, it baffled him in unneccessary ways. She was tough, sporty, brave, intelligent and wasn't afraid to voice her own opinion. Which was something majority of the males he knew did not find attractive in females. Was that why she was continuously pestering him?

Nana jerked, and broke him from his train of daydreams. "Were you copying off my work, Taeyeon?" she said, smirking.

Taemin  sat up straight, glancig down at her. "What?"

"Your page is empty," she said matter-of-factly, pointing down at Taemin's book.

"I just...I need some help," he said, ruffling his long, blonde locks. "I don't know what to write. Where did you get your inspiration?"

Nana glanced around the room, as if checking to see if anyway was listening in on their converstion. "Actually, I was thinking of you."

Taemin felt blood rush to his cheeks, and he knew that he was blushing. But he stopped when he realised Nana was talking about him as  girl, suddenly feeling very foolish. "Well, thank you," he said, trying to look and sound as feminine as remotely possible. "Should I write one about you?"

He was trying to appear witty and friendly, but apparently it rubbed off the wrong way on Nana. "That'd be impossible," she chuckled. "There's nothing pretty about me at all."  With a sad smile, she turned around, her  back now facing Taemin. He frowned, and picked up the pen.

She was really quite ugly. Insecure and indifferent, I wasn't attracted at all. She smelled like mud everday and always played football and wasn't even pretty. But something about her was slightly strange. Maybe it was her dirty hair? Whatever it was, she made my heart beat a hundred times faster because of her beauty, that was hidden in her heart. Not many people could see it, but it was  definitely there.

"Do you think Taeyeon would accept my marriage proposal?"

"No, Kibum. Get over it."

Kibum, Minho's bestfriend and wingman, frowned. "Hey, just because you're—"

"Shut up, people can hear you!"

Kibum frowned, but let it go. "Whatever, Minwhore. Do you think Minhee would—"

"Don't you even dare!"
