Hello, again! Here's the ninth and final teaser before the story begins! Don't forget to check out our subject page for our cast! This will be updated as the story progresses, and I'll always let you guys know when it's updated!
Also, don't hate me but because it's a teaser, I used NCT's Superhuman for a third time. I just love the song, I'm sorry. I will actually change the song/playlist for each actual chapter of the story, I swear lol.
Enjoy, guys!

The heroes that were assigned to watch the members of The Ring that 777 and The Real had taken were unconcerned with their job for the most part. They switched shifts every few hours or so, making sure that none of the villains could manage to escape the dull, damp, dark basement they were thrown in. The Real made a temporary jail of large glass cases that obviously were no longer being used. They were in the basement of Headquarters' medical center, and Aisa knew it was because the heroes lacked any better holding place for them.
Several of the villains had been carried on a large boulder of Earth that 777 was using to transport them. However, Aisa and one other villain were thrown over The Real's shoulder as they made their escape away from The Ringmaster. It was then that Aisa wanted to say something, anything, to make The Real remember him.
However, they'd gotten to Headquarters much faster than Aisa expected, and he was thrown into his temporary prison alongside the members of The Ring. The most irritating part of the entire thing was that he wasn't even like the others. He'd once been The Ringmaster's follower, but he'd soon after left to fight the same cause on his own. He'd only been there to find any new information. After all, Aisa and The Ringmaster were on the same side of the fight.
Now, he was stuck behind glass, regretting a lot of the decisions that led him here.
"Do you think it's worse that we were caught in the first place or that they look so bored babysitting us?" Someone questioned from beside Aisa.
The question was so sudden in the stark quiet of their glass box that Aisa had almost jumped. The man tore his stare away from the idle heroes only meters away from them to glance over at the villain beside him. When had he even come so close to Aisa, anyway?
"It's worse that we were caught in the first place," Aisa answered quietly. His eyes returned to the heroes, but he'd focused on his cell mate's thoughts. He was settling his own curiosity until he heard something that caused him to face the other man once again. "You just joined The Ring?"
The man blinked once before tensing up, realizing at once who Aisa was and that his thoughts were no longer private. "Uh...yeah. I found The Ringmaster last week." He laughed, but it was short and bitter, accompanied by a frown tugging at his lips. "She just gave me the name Gravikinesis too. Only for me to end up right back here with the heroes." The last part was coupled with airquotes, letting Aisa know that Gravikinesis was being sarcastic with the word.
As if Aisa wasn't already worried about their situation, he was going to be worrying about this kid who'd only just become a villain himself before getting caught up in this situation.
Meters away from Aisa and Gravikinesis, two heroes sat in boredom while the other two paced slowly back and forth.
Zeus was one of the two seated, her cape draped across the back of the chair to allow herself more comfort. She could feel herself almost drifting into sleep, and she straightened her back and scratched the bridge of her nose several times until it reddened. Letting out a small sigh, she dropped her hand from her face and leaned closer to Faye. "Hey, how much longer until we get to switch out with someone else?"
Instead of Faye, the answer came from VR Angel, who raised her brow in Zeus' direction. "We've only been here for thirty minutes."
"Oh... Well, you two can sit down. That glass is fortified. Plus, I think Yoo scared them enough that they won't even try to escape," Zeus explained. She leaned back in her chair once again, bringing her hand back up to her face to chew at one of her nails.
VR Angel didn't argue her senior, simply taking a seat next to her. She wasn't technically a member of Mighty, like the rest of them were. However, she was training for the next open position, along with Nightmare who had already had her shift earlier that day. She didn't relax against the back of her chair though, keeping curious eyes on the villains.
Reverb had taken the spare seat next to Faye, humming quietly to himself as he picked up his notepad and pen. He scribbled something down onto the pad before setting it gently onto Faye's lap.
You're quiet today.
Usually, Faye didn't appreciate when the other heroes tried to press her to talk, but she didn't take Reverb's note that way. Since he'd been added into Mighty several months prior, he was always someone she enjoyed working with. And to his credit, Faye did tend to speak at least once or twice during group missions.
She looked up from the notepad to the man and jokingly replied, "So are you." Reverb rolled his eyes at her, also a playful gesture, trying to suppress his smile behind his face mask. Faye had her own small smile before continuing, "I guess I just don't understand why we have them." She gave a gesture to the villains they were currently guarding.
Reverb took his noteback and scribbled another quick message.
They're villains. We're keeping them from doing harm.
Already peeking at the pad to see what Reverb had written, Faye kept her thoughts to herself. She wasn't sure if that was the real reason, considering The Ring spent most of their time just trying to hide from them. Then again, Reverb was still young and still willing to believe in the words of the officials over The Might program. She nodded to him when he held the pad up for her to see. "You're right—"
"Help! You guys have gotta get him some help!" Gravikinesis yelled from his glass cell, pointing to a Ring member in another cell. "He's been in pain since we got here! The least you guys can do is help him."
Each hero sprang to their feet, and VR Angel was the first to actually start moving. "I'll go get help." Fortunately, the villains were being held in the medical center, so she simply had to take the elevator upstairs to find the person she was looking for.
The large room that she found was completely white, and it was near empty. The hero that VR Angel knew to be Paragon was laying in a bed near the wall. It appeared that she was sleeping, but she was tossing and turning as much as she could with several IV tubes connecting her to medicine.
VR Angel's brows furrow for a second before she takes a deep breath and focuses her attention on Aceso, whose seated much closer to the door with a visitor.
Once he notices the new presence in the room, he ceases his initial conversation. "What can I help you with, Angel?" Having to use his former nickname that had been popular with citizens on a new hero had him forcing back a vexxed tone.
"There's a villain downstairs saying that he's injured. But if you're not feeling you're best, I can find another—"
"I'm fine," Aceso told her, getting up from his seat.
His visitor had also risen, turning so VR Angel could see that it was The Might's secretary, the very one who had taken her information when she was signing up for the program. She bowed her head at both Aceso and VR Angel before making her exit from the room. There wasn't any time to ask Aceso what the woman had been doing there with him before they felt the floor shift beneath them.
The two of them bolted from the room, Aceso struggling the entire way to keep up with VR Angel. Once they got down to the basement, a large portion of the wall and ceiling was missing. Debris partially filled the space instead, and the villains that were now free from their glass prisons were doing anything they could to escape the building.
"What the hell happened?" Aceso asked VR Angel, who knew just as little as he did.
Faye, Zeus, and Reverb were trying to contain as many villains as they could, but they were being fought back by both their captured and the person responsible for the chaos. "It's Dove!" Faye yelled over the commotion.
VR Angel froze at the name, her eyes darting every which way until they landed on Bloody Dove, clad from head to toe in loose white clothing. She stood on large blocks of rubble, towering over them. "Last but not least, Dove freed the rest of the anti-heroes!" She yelled, sending a blast toward the last of the imprisoned, freeing both Aisa and Gravikinesis.
The heroes were calling out for Bloody Dove to stop, VR Angel the loudest of all, trying desperately to get the villain's attention. It wasn't enough.
"And for her last trick..." And just as quickly as she'd appeared, Bloody Dove had disappeared.
