THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY The Hwan family are coming together in Hwan Village for the first time in years to celebrate the holiday season. The parents have gathered all of their children to bring the family back together and give the children a surprise.
However, the family isn't anywhere near as close as they used to be. The stress and the chaos only worsens when everyone's secrets are revealed.
Will they be able to make it to New Year's Day to get their surprise, or will all of the lies, arguments, and time apart be too much?

FROM BUBBA maybe one day I'll actually do an applyfic based on a boygroup or girlgroup, but for now... I hope some of you will enjoy this story that I've been thinking about lately.

Chapter 10: Been curious about this story for a while (mainly because one of the characters has Han Sohee as a FC I'm sorry I'm a simp) and so glad I subbed! Your writing got me hooked immediately and I can't wait to make my app for manslaughter
Chapter 10: omg wondae went off!! I love how you expressed their guilt too and trying to mask it with excuses. I am beyond satisfied with how that went down and I know it's just the beginning for those two so I'm looking forward to what else you have in store. but chulsoo??? I did not expect that? right at the family home is so risky too afnajg. and lastly happy new year even though its two weeks in!
Chapter 10: the confrontation!! the amount of gasps i probably made as wondae kept speaking was something else! i expected wondae to have fully blown out on his twin so, i was surprised when he didn't... i guess such a moment will be left for a later time. chuseok barely even started for the family and everything has already become so awkward.
the moment between juda and seol's so sweet especially after the drama that occurred with the moons' side. i adored how you were able to incorporate juda's dislike of the nutcracker. this chapter also made me realise how out of the half-siblings juda has, she probably would be most familiar nowadays with charlotte and christopher since they pretty much live in the same state! i also agree with how if their grandmother had still been alive, she would've not approved of chaerin or wondae's behaviour. the transition from drama to something light-hearted to more drama again was so smooth. i shuddered at the 'technically legal' comment, and wonder what chulsoo is doing with a man much older than him... i wonder if it's something youngjae's aware of, or it would be news completely unfamiliar to him once juda and seol shares such information with what they witnessed. things are getting more and more juicy, i love it <3

Chapter 10: And the first bomb was dropped!! Honestly I don't blame Wondae very much for his outburst. Even if he was in the wrong and went to jail for it, it must have to feel like your family abandoned you. So yeah. :') Making everyone feel guilty was probably some part of Wondae wanted? Because he for sure got that. I can only hope that facing that guilt is the start of a family reconciliation.
Agreeing with Charlotte and Juda that the family is ed up. It's just that Jaebeom's side of the family is ed up in an expected way, while the Moons had the facade of a perfect family, probably, so when thing get ugly, it looks like the fall is uglier. But everyone is human and falible! :p
Also, Chulsoo????? Right under the window???? The girls are way too polite, for going to ask about the situation from Youngjae xD If it was MY brother/cousin getting frisky under my window, I would have opened it and hollered for them to get a room xD But I guess that lack of familiarity make people less thick faced to embarrass family members (the Jaejoon's Hwan siblings probably are the only ones with no qualms about embarrassing a sibling lol)
Chapter 9: I finally caught up with the chapters, it's interesting to see that all of Jaejoon's older kids live far away from home. I wonder if that has to do with his parenting skills, especially since both Sebin and Saemna didn't come back. They're are all a year apart but the difference in treatment is crazy. But overall the family seems more tight knit than I thought, especially the half siblings. This is only the beginning and we got tears and a fight almost broke out. I can't wait for Wondae to make his grand entrance lol.
I was so excited to read this so thank you for not leaving us in the dust with this one. Also the way you write is so easy to follow, even with such a big cast. Looking forward to the next one.
Chapter 9: Pls not no one believing Dongkyu’s lie. ANOTHER one is crazy tho. How u hide kids? 😭 i feel so bad for Saemna, she got vulnerable and Jaejoon just made her cry and still isn’t accepting her smh. He should be happy she even came!!! Also what’s up with Wonyoung faceclaims being mean fjfjf I bet she’s the nicest person in real life. But srsly Charlotte needa slap Chaerin!!
Chapter 9: things are slowly but surely heating up in the hwan village! not chulsoo almost revealing the truth. im also wondering how much longer jihye will put up with dongkyu's bull
i'm interested in learning more about jaejoon and saemna's relationship
the poor han twins, especially charlotte, not even there for five minutes and already in an argument. chaerin really has some nerve going on about how the older twins are not wanted, meanwhile she and chulsoo were abandoned by jaejoon. im wondering how charlotte will react when she finds out about the younger twins secret
can't wait for the next chapter!
Chapter 9: Aawwnn everyone missed Sebin! And I snorted ad Chulsoo seemengly wanting to burst out the secret :') Yep, Jihye is totally not buying Dongkyu's lies. xD And Youngjae knows!!!! At least someone is in the secret (that honestly is dubiously being hidden)
Oh. Oh no. Heck no. Jaejoon has his "speak with Saemna" rights revoked!!! The girl just opened up and put herself in a vulnerable position, and he goes and says that?! For something, that considering her reaction, is not something that is her fault nor she does on purpose?????? Nope, he can't speak to her again unless he has nice things to say! -wraps Saemna in a blanket and gives her her favorite hot beverage-
Charlotte and Yejun can bond over not really wanting to be here LOL Youngjae using his sunny superpowers to momentarily dispell Yejun's dark clouds hahahahaha
But oooh damn!!! I was totally not expecting the rivalry between the twins!!!! Why Chaerin went straight for blood, right fron one of the people that was most unsure about being there. ;-; Chill girl!! I wonder if that has anything to do with the secret that the younger twins are hidding...?
Chapter 9: ahhh i've finally found time to catch up and i love the floorplans of hwan village.
onto the chapters, i love how you've split it up into sections. definitely a brilliant way to handle such a big cast. it reminds me very much of a kdrama, where you get little snippets of certain characters before it switches to another set of characters. it's so fun to see the different dynamics being established between all the characters! the twin rivalry is so interesting, i would have never expected it, but makes everything even more exciting! and the moon family and wondae ahhh i can't wait to see how that all plays out too
i'm so curious as to what messages juda keeps reading, and i'm so eager to learn more about saemna's vision and her story! of course it'd be easier to just snoop on everyone's apps, but i think there's some fun in awaiting for the slow reveal. dongkyu's excuse is a lousy one haha but it'll be fun to see what happens when the truth is revealed
i really appreciate having the family tree even more now because, like everyone else, i, too, am flipping between the chapters and the family tree to better visualize each character.
i love your writing style and i'm eagerly awaiting to see more of the hwan family!
Chapter 9: Hi! I've been very much focusing on life, but I've been reading and keeping up with what's happening so far! I hope no one minds me overanalysing the beef between Charlotte and Chaerin 😅
I'm not entirely sure what led to this whole twin rivalry (I hope that it'll be revealed over time), but I can definitely see why the whole visiting-not visiting part is something that is completely out of their control (since it's mainly the parents' doing), and why it would be twisted at the heat of the moment. Of course, it doesn't excuse both girls' behaviours (especially on Chaerin's end, call me biased but I seriously am side eyeing the things she's said).
I think the good thing about Charlotte and Chris not visiting very often is that it really shapes who they are as individuals, albeit them being seen the black sheep (especially Charlotte, since I envision her values and beliefs being unorthodox to the Hwan family). I do wonder though, will Chulsoo and Chaerin's actual parentage be revealed? How would people react to Charlotte's behaviour and her owning her own Youtube channel? Only time will tell 🤔
