(A week before New Year's Day)

(Your bestfriend)-hey I know you don't want to see him but Mingyu and I are still planning on hanging out on New Years and it would be nice if you came too

(You)-no thanks I'd rather be at home alone watching movies all day, plus it's literally freezing outside and the winter season is the best excuse to be in a blanket all day

(Your bestfriend)-(sits next to you on your couch)-is this because of Wonwoo? I know he broke your heart but from what I've seen and heard from Mingyu he's really changed 

(You)-how much can a person change in one year? if he really has changed then why hasn't he given me at least one phone call or text message?

(Your bestfriend)-alright well let us know if you change your mind by next week, we're still having the party on our apartment rooftop 

Wonwoo's POV-

(Mingyu)-(smiles while texting y/n's friend)

(Wonwoo)-looks like your relationship is going well

(Mingyu)-yeah our one year anniversary is coming up soon, what should I get her?

(Wonwoo)-probably something from the jewelry store

(Mingyu)-speaking of girlfriends, have you spoken to y/n-ssi yet?

Wonwoo proceeds to start cleaning his bed in the hotel room they are currently staying in to avoid his question.

(Mingyu)-hyung I know how much you miss her, how about this? let's get the girls both something from the jewelry store 

(Wonwoo)-I'm sure she doesn't want to see me anymore

(Mingyu)-I know from a reliable source that, that's not true, I'm sure she misses you as much as you miss her

(Wonwoo)-I've actually been working on a song about our relationship, hopefully that will help me win her back

(Mingyu)-that's even better than my gift (he says in a jealous tone)

Wonwoo then continued to work on his song for the rest of the day.

3 days before New Year's 

Y/N's friend and Mingyu on a phone call:

(Y/N's friend)-hey so just like we mentioned the moment it turns midnight we'll have everyone go down to our apartment and have Y/N come up to the roof where she'll see Wonwoo playing his song for her.

(Mingyu)-so the party will be on the rooftop and then your apartment? how are you going to convince everyone to go downstairs?

(Y/N's friend)-I'll just tell them that we'll have the after party at my apartment since it'll be freezing outsi
