HEECHUL'S POV

“Jungsoo!!!” Kyuhyun called his name and you could tell how excited they were when he arrived.

They ran towards him leaving me, Donghae and Eunhyuk in our seats. I couldn't believe that he was already in front me and laughing with our friends.

“We've missed you!!!”

“You look handsome but i still hate you. You never called or texted us when you left.”

“I'm still in touch with Shindong tho. We've been calling each other and sometimes, we hang out too.” Jungsoo said, his eyes were on me and of course, my eyes were glued to him ever since he arrived.

“What!?” 

“Personal reasons.” Shindong replied, turned around and went back to our table.

Donghae patted me causing me to flinched and sat down again. I was so lost and nervous.

“Are you okay?” Donghae whispered, tucked a few strands of my hair behind my ear.

“I'm nervous.” I whispered back and bit my lips.

Jungsoo sat down across from me and when i gathered my courage to look up, he was already staring at me.

“So how's life?” Kyuhyun asked, of course Jungsoo was the highlight of the night.

Everyone was so invested and interested to hear his explanation and story after he left. 

I was curious too—i want to know if what happened to him when he left me alone in the darkness.

I couldn't blame him, i was really the worst and i didn't deserve him. If only i could turn back the time—i would do everything to make him stay and would treat him right.

“Well, I'm pretty much better than the last time you guys saw me. I moved in with my grandmother and finished my studies there. When i graduated, i got a big offer from my school and asked me if i was willing to go to New York and pursue my career since they saw a lot of potential on me. I studied again and improved my cooking skills until i had a job offer there. Of course, i accepted it and guess what, I'm a chef now and owner of a few restaurants. I guess leaving was a right decision I've made before. Imagine if i didn't leave, what would happen to me now?” Jungsoo began to talk about his story and how happy he was.

While telling his story, Jungsoo's eyes were shining and a genuine smile could be seen, his smile was pure and from ear to ear—he was the happiest.
