"Are you okay?" Ten asked Tzuyu who had lost all her appetite.

"I'm sure I'll be just fine," she said to him avoiding eye contact

 

After a long pause Tzuyu finally looked at Ten "I'm not trying to replace him Tzuyu" he said to her and she looked up at him wide eyed

"I know you love him and I know you're hurting and I'm your punishment for disobeying your father, in a way, but I hope with time you'll want us to work and you'll be able to open your heart to me. And be happy with me," he finished saying with something keen to hope, gleaming in his eyes.

She felt her heart flutter "I don't see you as a punishment Ten, I know maybe if we had met under different circumstances, we would only just be friends. But I am willing to give us a try if not I wouldn't be here now, and instead, I would've run away or who knows my dad would've sent me abroad. But what is clear is that I am here because I want to be nothing otherwise." She told him and he smiled at her

"Good I was getting a little worried, to be honest, that you would walk away before trying" he confessed

"Why is that Ten?" she asked him, reaching for his hand

"Because of the way he affects you" she managed a small smile

"Let bygones be bygones, now let's head home. I have to meet your mom tomorrow to go through the guest list" she said getting up from her chair.

He smiled at her “Alright” and extended his hand to lead her out.

Tzuyu hoped that she would be able to get over Taeyong because Ten was so good to her, he didn't deserve anything less from her.

 

 

A couple of weeks later Ten took her to a different restaurant for the daily dates they took.

"The wedding is in a week," he said to her casually while they ate lunch together

"I know I want a small wedding because I'm hoping reporters won't swarm our poor guests," she said as she took a bite off her salad

"We could have it over seas" he suggested

"No it is short notice as is, besides, I want my dad to walk me down the aisle and he won't be happy if we take the ceremony overseas just for privacy reasons," she told him and scrunched her nose a bit.

Ten laughed "Aww~ my wife sure is thoughtful. Anyways I have something for you," he said and got up and crouched next to her placing a small box in her lap.

Tzuyu looked at him clearly surprised.

"Go ahead, open it," he said excitedly and as she obliged her breath caught in , the rings inside were beautiful.

"I thought since we are engaged already, we might as well wear the rings to put truth t
