3 Identities of my Mysterious Wife

Mihye rolled her eyes and spoke in perfect english that she had picked up herself. "Are you sure you want to do this?" she frowned.

The two burly men snickered and continued walking towards her, backing her up against the wall. "What are you talking about? Of course we want to, little one." one of the burly men snickered. "It's going to be fun."

Mihye crossed her arms in front of her face. "I don't have time for this." she muttered. "Don't be an and get out of my way." she glared.

The two men looked at each other and burst into howling laughter. "Who are you kidding missy! It's not a question if you want it or not, but you're going to get it." they closed in on her. "We're going to have fun~ Don't worry." one of them looked at her up and down like she was a piece of meat on sale.

Mihye felt offended. She hated how men thought women were easy to bully like this.

She rolled her eyes and was about to raise her leg for her fatal death kick with her superb aiming at the organ between the legs, when both men were pulled away from her and punched on the face, tumbling onto the floor.

Mihye blinked in surprise, not expecting this. The newcomer kicked both of them in the stomach and punched their faces once more, before running to her and grabbing her hand. "Come on!" he yelled.

Mihye's eyes widened. "Byunghun sshi?"

"Yes it's your husband! Now let's go!" L.Joe pulled her along, almost not giving Mihye time to get her shopping bags. She hugged her bags with one hand and looked back, where the two men had just stood up and were chasing after them.

They raced down the streets, creating movie like action, darting through the crowd. The burly men were chasing them, not giving up. "Hey you! Come back! You're going to get it!" they hollered.

Mihye frowned at her heels that weren't doing a good job at helping her run, and she took them off, aiming each at one of the two men's faces. They hit both of them right in the middle, and they howled in anger.

L.Joe laughed slightly and grabbed her hand again, darting into the nearest boutique. They hid behind racks of clothes and held their breath as the two men raced past them, searching. L.Joe heaved a sigh of relief, looking at her with new admiration. "That was some good aiming you have there." he grinned.

Mihye panted lightly and collected herself. She gripped her shopping bags as she looked around the store they were in, barefooted, for new shoes to replace her weapon like heels.

"And you even had to save your shopping bag while running from thugs like this?" he raised a brow at her. Mihye wrinkled her nose. "I'm not going to give up these just because of some stupid idiots like them." she retorted. She looked at him. "Thanks for saving me. But I could have handled them just fine."

L.Joe frowned at her as she picked up one of the shoes and asked for her size. "How could you have?" he asked, inserting his hands in his pockets. "Each one of them are twice your size!"

Mihye smiled softly as she tried on the shoes. "I guess it's time to tell you I'm Black Belt in Taekwondo?" she grinned cheekily.

L.Joe gulped. *Remind me not to come home late next time when I'm living with her.* he thought as he followed her to the cashier. He naturally paid for the shoes and Mihye smiled at him gratefully. "But still, you should take care of yourself when you're a girl in a foreign country like this." he shook his head.

Mihye just shrugged, putting her new shoes on and admiring them. "So now.."

L.Joe took her shopping bags from her and grinned slightly. "Let's eat. I'm hungry from the run."

"So how's your part of the honeymoon in Paris?" L.Joe asked, popping a piece of steak in his mouth.

Mihye smiled at him lightly as she cut her fish. "Neh. The place is wonderful." she replied simply. It was not even a summary of what she felt for the place.

She could have talked about the amazing culture they had there, the artchitechture, the weather, the shops, the people, the vibrant atmosphere, everything. But she chose not to say, because that's what her mother had told her.

Good wives were seen, not heard.

"How's yours then?" she asked politely.

L.Joe smiled. "I had fun." he smiled to himself. "I met someone who gave me lots of fantastic ideas and witty replies that made this trip much more enjoyable than it did before."

"I'm glad." Mihye nodded understandingly, thinking of how her talking buddy had made her trip more enjoyable even though she hadn't seen him before.

She suddenly let out a gasp and she reached of her bag. "Before I forget. These." she took out two pieces of documents from her bag and passed them to L.Joe who took them curiously.

"One of them is information on me." Mihye told him. "I think you would have known my general statistics from Omonim, but these are more detailed things. Like my favourite drink and colour. It'll come in handy when Omonim asks, you can talk about it."

L.Joe blinked at her.

"And the other one is the exact same questions, but you'll have to fill them up for me so that I can answer to Omonim when she asks as well." she told him. "That way it'll look like we had a lot of talk while we're here."

L.Joe gaped at her, surprised at her thoughtfulness.

"Oh and one more thing." Mihye searched her bag again.

L.Joe looked at her in awe. *There's still more?* He looked down at the documents, not even expecting her to do such things. Her thoughtfulness was unexpected, and rather than being sly, it was highly intelligent of her to think of such things as well.

"Here. This is for you." he passed her a small black bag. L.Joe bit his lip as he opened the gift, an unknown exhileration rushing over him. It was the first time he ever received a gift from a girl. He never accepted gifts from girls before because he felt it wasn't right to accept the gifts when he didn't want to accept their hearts.

He found himself looking at a neat and sleek looking velvet blue tie. "Wow." he breathed. "This looks good." he looked at her, appreciatingly.

Mihye smiled at him. "I'm glad you like it." she grinned. "I asked a friend for his opinion. You can tell Omonim it's from me." she held out her wrist and showed him a heart locket bracelet. "And this is from you to me."

L.Joe blinked at her, momentarily confused. "They'll think we're on better terms like this, Byunghun sshi." Mihye explained.

L.Joe nodded, still a little stunned at how clever his wife was. He peeked at her from the corner of his eye and smiled. *She's really the perfect wife. If only I was in love with her.* he shook his head, smiling.

"Hey Mihye, I think we should cut the formalities." L.Joe told her suddenly. "You can call me Byunghun oppa instead of Byunghun sshi. More convincing, I think."

Mihye nodded, smiling. "Arraso. I can't believe I left out something that obvious." she grinned. She shook her wrist and her bracelet produced a tinkling sound. "Thanks for the bracelet Byunghun oppa."

L.Joe laughed.
