It's Him

3 Identities of my Mysterious Wife

L.Joe was staring blankly at the screen of his computer, watching the time as seconds ticked by. Normally, he when he finished the things he had to do that day, it would already be well past 6pm.

But today, he couldn't really set his mind to do anything. All he wanted to do was to go home, to his wife, to her smile, to her warmth.

He gave up on trying to work ages ago, and preferred to wait for the official end of the day, 5pm, before he could knock off.

He wondered when Mihye started to have such an impact on him. Was this seriously just a passing crush? Or was it something more?

He couldn't deny that he was physically attracted to her, but now, he was starting to find that he was attracted to her in more ways than one.

She might be trained to be a wife all her life, but she was also a stubborn one. He could tell that she liked to rely on herself when problems cropped up, he knew she would cry herself when she's sad.

And that's what pains him.

Because he wants to be the one that she's able to turn to when these things happen.

L.Joe's eyes flickered to the clock and he brightened when it showed that it was 5:00pm exactly. He packed his things and bolted out of the door, surprising many of his employees since he was known to be an overworking boss.

He called Mihye's cell. "Mihye?" he muttered. "No need to cook tonight. I'm bringing you out for dinner."

He sighed to himself, smiling. *The day finally ended.*

"What's the sudden occasion today, Byunghun oppa?" Mihye asked curiously. Her eyes darted around the fancy restaurant nervously.

L.Joe took her hand and smiled warmly. "Relax. It's just dinner." he assured. "Don't need to bother about other people here. You need to get used to the fact that your husband's rich, you know." he tapped her nose lightly.

Mihye made a face. "I know..." she pouted. Her face fell slightly and she tried hard to keep it straight. "But we're divorcing anyway." she whispered.

L.Joe's ears caught what she said and he stiffened. A lump came into his throat and he found it hard to breathe. He pretended not to hear her, choosing to be ignorant about it, as if that would make the fact less true.

The food came and they began eating while chatting merrily. He liked how she paid attention to his likes and dislikes, and made mental notes to learn how to cook certain dishes she knew he loved.

He like how she would close her eyes to savor the taste, smiling like she was the happiest girl in the world.

An elderly couple from the next table came over to theirs and L.Joe bowed politely. It was Director Lee, one of his business associates, and his wife.

"Hey Byunghun." Director Lee smiled. He looked over at Mihye with raised brows. "And who is this beautiful lady?"

L.Joe took Mihye's hands and smiled proudly. "My wife."

Director Lee chuckled. "So she's the one. Fine woman." he nodded. "I won't disturb your date further, Byunghun. Enjoy your meal." the elderly couple returned to their seats.

At that moment, L.Joe was clearly aware of how he liked the feeling of "my wife" rolling from his tongue. He liked how Mihye was his, as much as he was hers. He loved how he knew she would always be at home waiting for him after a long day of work.

He realized, with a shock, that he didn't want this to end. He didn't want the six months to end anytime soon, and in fact, he really wanted to spend the rest of his life like that.

He looked at Mihye who was eating deliciously, humming to herself. *I love her. I love Choi Mihye.* L.Joe realized. He compared his feelings towards the Queen and Miss Apple, and those were peanuts compared to how he felt for Mihye.

He loved her and he didn't want them to end.

L.Joe began laughing when he finally figured this out. The answer had been right there shouting in his face and still he couldn't see.

Mihye cocked her head to the side curiously. "What's wrong oppa?"

L.Joe chuckled. "Nothing." Mihye shot him a look, showing that she didn't believe what he said, but chose to remain silent about it.

Half a second later, both their phones rang at the same time. L.Joe's eyes widened. "Really? I'll be there."

Mihye gasped. "Okay I'll get there as fast as possible."

The two of them looked at each other. "I have to go."

Mihye rushed to the building they were supposed to meet, and met up with the flower sisters. Jiyeon passed her the extra clothes, and she changed into more formal wear.

They always made sure to change their clothes when they had meetings with the MO. It was courtesy to be formal and respectful.

Mihye and the rest rushed to the meeting room. The door was a gap opened, signaling that the men weren't ready yet.

Mihye peeked through the gap curiously, and found herself staring at a very familiar piece of outfit.

"Aish Ricky, why didn't you bring me extra clothes?" a familiar voice grumbled.

Mihye's eyes widened. *It's Ricky! And the rest of Teen top!*

"Aww hyung I was rushing here too!" Ricky whined. "And there's no need to always change your clothes before the meetings!" he protested.

The former guy snorted. "Use your brains, Ricky. What if someone sees us in the same clothes before and after? Our identity is a secret." he said.

"Aish hyung, I don't think you'll know anyone of those girls personally in real life, so it doesn't matter." Ricky shrugged. "Chill."

The guy spun around and Mihye but back a gasp. She was looking at the same guy she was married to. The same guy she was having dinner with just moments ago.

The same guy she fell in love with.

L.Joe didn't notice anyone looking and he put on his mask. He sighed and massaged his temples. "Aish the dinner ended to abruptly." he muttered.

Mihye leaned against the wall and covered wit her hands. *It's him. The Knight is Byunghun oppa. Byunghun oppa is the Knight!*
