Tricked

3 Identities of my Mysterious Wife

Mihye stared at the television which replayed news of L.Joe and her divorce numerous times. It was real, they were really getting divorced, even though there was still about a month to their actual divorce date.

The moment she had been dreading from the very beginning, it was happening.

But deep down, she felt it was all worth it. She hadn't gone to the WO headquarters for more than two weeks. The Queen disappeared from the surface of the earth and resigned from her post.

People out there were spectaculating that Mihye was afraid of her husband when he found out about her secret ventures. And perhaps he punished her so in return and the cowardly girl was too frightened to continue.

The men regained their confidence in L.Joe during this time because they thought he was a respectable figure that could control his wife and was the head of the house. The protests were dwindling to a trickle of stubborn men, and things were finally looking up between the organizations.

If Mihye didn't disappear from her post, this process would take a much longer time because L.Joe wouldn't look as formidable as he did now. But at least the whole world believes that they're not in love right now. Even though it was partially false, at least on her side.

Mihye sighed. "But why don't I feel happy?"

The hall was filled up with seats that stretched throughout the whole venue, occupying every available space. Reporters were seated impatiently on the chairs and some even had to stand.

They got ready their cameras and voice recorders, jotting down possible questions to be asked.

The media even sent camera men for a live footage of the entire press conference. After all, it was the first time L.Joe was about to talk officially to the press after his identity of the knight.

The chatter ceased when the doors opened, and the very figure they were waiting for walked up the stage and addressed them. Cameras flashed incessantly and the reporters switched their recorders on urgently.

"Good morning. Thank you all for being here today." L.Joe looked at the rows of press.

He looked haggard and tired, like he wasn't getting a wink of sleep. If Changjo hadn't reminded him earlier, he wouldn't even have remembered to shave and he'd still look like some sort of caveman.

"Today is the first official press conference I'm going to hold as the President of the Men's Organization." L.Joe looked out at them, the air of confidence eluding from him even though he was tired. He was a born leader.

"As all of you know," L.Joe continued. "Many of the public are doubtful of the decisions made by the Men's organization when they found out about my relationship with the Queen, who was actually Mihye, my wife."

Chatters and whispers began resonating through our the hall as the reporters got excited. They were bursting with questions about their recent divorce and all, and couldn't wait for L.Joe to get to the real juicy part.

"In all honesty, until that news flash was played over two weeks ago on the television, I had no idea that the person I had been contacting and knew as the Queen was my wife." L.Joe admitted.

The chatters turned louder as the reporters doubted L.Joe. He was living in the same house as she was, how could he have not known about this?

"It's true." L.Joe convinced. "I don't know that Mihye was the Queen, or the things I've done would have been vastly different. You can be sure hat decisions made during this spam of time were all fair and not affected and by me and Mihye's personal judgement and views. We only base our decisions on what is really beneficial for the society as we try to close the gap between the men and the women."

"Why did you and Choi Mihye have this divorce then?" one reporter spoke up. "Is this just a ploy to make the general public believe you two that you weren't controlling the organization's actions because of your prior intimate relationship?"

L.Joe bit his lip. This divorce was really actually a solution to this mess. It was true in that way.

But it was also true that they were going to get a divorce at the end as well.

"To be completely truthful...yes it was a ploy." L.Joe admitted. The whispers in the room got louder and louder.

"But unfortunately," L.Joe continued sadly. "It wasn't something that was out of the extraordinary. We already planned for this divorce and were just merely bringing it forward to calm the situation."

L.Joe lowered his gaze. "It was an arranged marriage. We we're practically strangers when we exchanged rings. We didn't want this, so the first time we met, we already planned for the divorce."

Gasps went about and cameras were clicking furiously.

"Perhaps if this whole event didn't happen, we would still get divorced." L.Joe whispered, thinking about Mihye. "Because you can't force love. I can't force her to love me if she doesn't."

"But what about you?"

Everyone in the room turned their heads to the door where a lone man walked in. He was large and burly, and L.Joe quickly recognized him as Rain. However, he didn't wear his usual J.T. necklace, and looked like he came with a plan.

"From what I saw that time at the pub," Rain smirked. "You do have feelings for your wife, Lee Byunghun. No matter what you say, you do love her, isn't it?"

Chatters grew louder and mikes were shoved in L.Joe's face. "Please answer the question, Byunghun sshi! Do you love Mihye?" the reporters asked.

L.Joe glanced back at the Teen Top members and panicked. This wasn't supposed to happen. He was just going to pacify the public about the organization's aim and intention, not reveal his feelings.

If they knew he was in love with Mihye, everything would back fire on him. The divorce would be meaningless because they'd all think that even if he didn't know Mihye was the Queen in the past, because he loved her now, what he did would also be in Mihye's benefit and not the men's.

"I..." L.Joe paled.

Rain smirked at L.Joe. "Why? Can't you answer this?" he demanded. "Don't you want to let your dear Mihye hear what you feel for her while she's currently tied up in a secluded place?"

L.Joe stiffened. "What the hell do you mean?" he snarled.

"Exactly what I said." Rain took one step towards L.Joe. "We kidnapped your soon to be ex wife, Lee Byunghun. What are you going to do about it?"

Within a flash, L.Joe tackled Rain to the floor and punched the latter in the stomach, panting hard. His eyes were livid with anger and he couldn't seem to cool down.

"Where is she?" L.Joe growled angrily. "Tell me where is she!"

"Worked up are you?" Rain snickered. "I thought you didn't love her?"

"Of course I love her you bastard!" L.Joe trapped Rain. He heaved angrily, ready to break the latter's neck. "If anything happens to her, if you just hurt a single of her hair, I'll make sure that I send you down to hell personally myself! Tell me where is she!"

Rain smirked at L.Joe in triumph. "At home or wherever. Safe and perhaps watching the tv." Rain grinned ad pushed L.Joe of him easily with his massive strength. "I never had her kidnapped, Lee Byunghun."

L.Joe gaped at Rain. "Then why-"

"Because you just said it yourself." Rain smirked. He faced the gang of reporters. "Now you heard it yourself, he does love Choi Mihye. Can you let someone like this who's rash and weak in the face of love to lead you, and make decisions for all men?"

L.Joe paled. He fell for the trick. "No.." he whispered.

The reporters shook their heads and voiced their dissatisfaction towards L.Joe and the rest of the Teen Top members.

Rain smirked at L.Joe as the chants got louder. "You're going down, Lee Byunghun. I'm going to take your place."
