Epilogue

Redemption

Beomgyu stood at the borders to Finland, watching as Kevin and Juyeon, who was carrying Kevin on his back while in wolf form, Youngtaek back into Russia. "Ah, you dyed your hair!" Exclaimed Youngtaek as he walked across to stand in front of Beomgyu.

"It's a nice color isn't it?" Asked Beomgyu as he waved to Kevin and Juyeon, Kevin waving back before Juyeon turned and ran off. "The dark red suits you to be honest," agreed Youngtaek as he nodded.

"How was Norway?" Asked Beomgyu as he put his hands in his pockets. "It was fine," hummed Youngtaek. "Eric is a good host," he added. "That's good," commented Beomgyu as he turned and walked away, Youngtaek pushing to follow after him, adjusting the strap of his pack on his shoulder as he caught up with Beomgyu.

"I was thinking of re-dyeing my hair back to black to be honest with you," huffed Youngtaek as he walked with Beomgyu.

"Well, it'll make you less of a walking target?" Beomgyu asked with a snicker, earning a sigh from Youngtaek. "If not just cut it, I'm sure you'll find something that suits you," he added. Youngtaek hummed in response.

"So what happened while I was gone?" Asked Youngtaek. "Nothing much really," hummed Beomgyu as he shrugged his shoulders. "It was rather boring for a while," he added. "Nothing's really gone on since the semi-peace treaty that Kevin and the others managed to put up," he said as an afterthought.

"Have you heard from Taehyun and Heeseung?" Asked Youngtaek. "Ah, they're busy with missions," responded Beomgyu as he shook his head no. "Jiseok and Jooyeon do keep in touch though, when they can," he added.

"Oh yeah," chimed in Youngtaek as he stopped to dig through his bag. "Here," he added, taking out Beomgyu's lighter and handing it back to him. "I know we switched lighters and yours was empty so I refilled it for you," he explained when Beomgyu took the lighter from him, blinking in surprise. "I still have yours," Beomgyu said with a snort, taking said lighter from his pocket and handing it to Youngtaek. Youngtaek took the lighter and put it in his bag. "I see," hummed Youngtaek as he zipped up the bag and continued walking with Beomgyu.

Heeseung sighed as he leaned back in his seat, glaring at the space in front of him. "What's wrong?" Asked Taehyun as he walked over and sat down beside Heeseung, waiting on the train that would take them back to Russia from Germany. "It's been years since we were last in Russia, do we really need to head back?" Asked Heeseung. "We could always ask Beomgyu and Youngtaek to relocate or something," he added.

"You know, I tried to ask that question to Beomgyu the last time we were home and he said he couldn't leave due to personal reasons," hummed Taehyun. "Yeonjun?" Asked Heeseung. "No," replied Taehyun as he shook his head. "He left Russia years ago," he added. "Said he was going to try and make it in the states or Canada or something," he explained with a shrug.

"Are Soobin and Kai still bothering him?" Asked Heeseung. "Not from what I've seen from what Youngtaek's told me," came the reply from Taehyun as the sound of their train arriving signaled them to get up and get ready to go. "And from what I've heard apparently Beomgyu dyed his hair," he added. "Huh," hummed Heeseung.

"Well, let's head home then?" Asked Taehyun as the train stopped and opened the doors. "I guess," sighed Heeseung as he followed Taehyun onto the train.

Beomgyu rubbed the back of his neck in a sheepish manner, his fingers brushing against the leather cord that hung around his neck while Youngtaek glared at him. "I can't ever stay mad at you," whined Youngtaek as he pouted. "Well, I can't do much about that," Beomgyu retorted with a scoff, dropping his arm as he shook his head in amusement.

"You can, you just won't," grumbled Youngtaek as he sighed. Beomgyu shook his head. "Come on fox," he called, turning and running off. "Oi!" Shouted Youngtaek as he ran after Beomgyu.

Ending up back in Moscow, Beomgyu was oddly feeling excited for the news of Taehyun and Heeseung returning. Youngtaek had told him they were coming back, and Moscow had become their city after Daeyeol and Bomin decided to make a coven that consisted of them, and Taehyun and Heeseung. Seungmin and Jungsu still came around every now and again, but Moscow was officially theirs. Beomgyu became the unspoken leader, though Daeyeol was the known leader since he stayed in the city and more people knew him anyway.

"Can we get some food first?" Asked Youngtaek as he and Beomgyu walked to the train station that Taehyun and Heeseung would be arriving at. "You and your damn stomach," sighed Beomgyu as he turned to Youngtaek. "I guess," he added, shrugging. "I'll meet you at the station then?" He asked. "I-," started Youngtaek as he blinked before nodding. "Sure," he added before turning and heading to the nearest foodstand.

Beomgyu blinked in confusion before turning and walking towards the train station, going through it to stand on the platform to wait for Taehyun and Heeseung.

Daeyeol appeared on the platform, going to stand next to Beomgyu as he looked ahead of him. "They're almost here huh?" He asked. "It's been a few years," hummed Beomgyu. "I shouldn't've snapped at Youngtaek like that, but," he added, sighing. "It's alright, they're your best friends," chimed in Daeyeol. "Youngtaek understands," he added.

Youngtaek and Bomin walked over just as Taehyun and Heeseung's train arrived, Beomgyu almost bouncing on his feet as he waited for the doors to open.

"He's got the excited puppy look again," remarked Taehyun as he stood at the door with Heeseung. "We haven't been home in a few years, of course he's like this," sighed Heeseung, jokingly. "Well, let's go greet our friends shall we?" Asked Taehyun as the doors opened. "Let's," agreed Heeseung as he stepped off the train first with Taehyun stepping off behind him. They moved out of the way to let the other passengers step off the train before walking over to stand in front of Beomgyu, Daeyeol, Bomin and Youngtaek.

"You did dye your hair!" Pointed out Taehyun as he took in how Beomgyu looked. Beomgyu smirked, shrugging. "It's nothing really," he said. "The color suits you," hummed Taehyun. "I thought so too," agreed Beomgyu as he turned and walked off. "This kid," sighed Youngtaek as he followed after Beomgyu.

"It's his way of saying welcome back?" Asked Daeyeol. "He was like this in military school too," scoffed Heeseung as he shook his head. "Don't worry though, he's happy we're back," he added as they followed after Beomgyu and Youngtaek.

Heeseung could only observe how how much Beomgyu changed since they last saw each other, but he did notice how much more at peace Beomgyu was. It was like the time away from each other had changed in everyone, as even Taehyun found himself observing how much the 3 of them changed.

"We've changed, a lot," remarked Heeseung as he, Taehyun and Beomgyu hung out around the city. "It's something that happens with time," agreed Beomgyu as he shrugged, reaching his hand up and fidgeting with the leather cord around his neck.

"I'm surprised you still have that thing," pointed out Taehyun. "It's a keepsake, just like the lighter," sighed out Beomgyu as he dropped his hand, putting it in his pocket. "Besides, you two keep the group photos we took a few years ago, don't lie," he added, smirking at the sighs from Taehyun and Heeseung.

"Just don't get yourselves killed yeah? I don't think my mind can handle it," hummed Beomgyu as he turned and continued walking. Heeseung and Taehyun turned to each other, nodding as a silent promise to stay alive before following after Beomgyu.
