Prologue: Every Chapter Begins With a Song
I Write the Songs
PROLOGUE
Roseanne Park sat alone inside a café in the outskirts of Seoul. As compared to the bustling and clamorous scenery in her neighborhood, Lé Saphique radiated peace and quiet.
Roseanne looked at her watch. She had atleast 15 minutes left before her manager shows up.
"The usual for take out?" Roseanne glanced at the woman who greeted her with a big smile on her face. "Yes, please. Thanks Jo." she replied.
Roseanne gripped on the pen she was holding tightly. She thought maybe she was not cut out for this. But no, she wrote songs before they even debut. So why can't she do it now? One last song. One last.
If I had known they included something so unusual like that, I wouldn't have accepted the role. It's disgusting.
The words kept ringing in her head. It felt like she was being shoved down into nothing and everything at the same time.
Roseanne didn't notice Jo standing in front of her table which made the latter laugh. "Something tells me that painting gave you what you're looking for. How's the writing going?" The woman asked while she handed Roseanne her coffee.
She didn't even realize she was looking at something.
The painting showed two women smoking on a boat in the middle of a forest.
Roseanne smiled.
