Chapter 28

"Nothing but a heartbreaker! Dara is better off without you!" Bom, Cl, and Dara walked past Jiyong, who was with Bigbang. There were a lot of people in the canteen and the moment Bom said those words aloud, whispers could be heard by most of the students who witnessed Bom dissing Jiyong. 

Bigbang just looked at the girls but Jiyong's eyes followed Dara. Everyone saw his lingering stare at her but Dara never looked at him nor did she look back. At the end of the day, the breakup of Jiyong and Dara was the talk of the campus. Everyone was raving about it even the teachers already gossiped about it. 

What everyone didn't know is the fact that everything was smoothly planned by 2nebang. 

"Dara will be staying at the apartment with a house helper. I will be leaving there, in fact, all my things were already transferred to Appa's house. I cannot visit her there because Hal-abeoji would definitely know about it. I can only go to Omma if Dara's Mom would go to her on Friday night. That's how they planned our set up. What I want you to do is to help us meet when I want to or when she needs me. Here in school, I can't be seen with her or anywhere public. Bom, can you spread a gossip that Dara and I broke up? It must come from you or Cl to be more believable. You have to pretend that you girls hate me."

"JIyong, is this the only way? I mean should we really involve all of them? What if they don't like the idea of lying or pretending?" Dara was worried about his plan. They were at Top's room, one rainy Sunday afternoon to confess to their friends their situation. 

"Dara, I don't like the idea." Everyone looked at Bom worriedly. "I love it!" She squealed and everyone smiled. "I mean, we would always support the two of you! It's like doing a mission that only happens in movies!" 

"Love, this ain't a movie and this means it is going to be difficult for Dara and Jiyong. So, please be serious." Top gently said. 

"I'm sorry. I just want to liven the atmosphere. I mean this is better than a real breakup, right?" Bom asked. 

"Yes. This is better because I would have really smacked Jiyong's face if he would ever cheat on our Dara." Cl gave Jiyong a warning look. But the latter just smiled, still thankful of the full support that they were giving them. He asked his friends that they were free to not be part of his plan but all of them promised to help and for that, he was really grateful because fighting for their relationship would be nothing without their friends' help. 

"Do you have a spare sim I can use to contact Dee? I mean my grandpa would often confiscate my phone whenever I need to train or attend conventions. I am sure he would also monitor it in any way he can just to be sure." 

"I'll try to ask Dad about it." Top said. 

"This is going to be hard for the both of you." Youngbae laid out the obvious fact. 

"Of course! You just have to be strong and trust each other." Daesung for the first time was really serious. "This is going to be tough." 

"How can someone be as cruel as your Hal-abeoji!" Seungri declared. 

"Social standing does matter in our world. YOu should be lucky that you all belong in the same status or you may face the same situation Jiyong and Dara are in." Youngbae looked at CL, Seungri, Top, and Bom. 

Seungri held CL's hand while Top put his arm around Bom and held her lovingly. Youngbae looked at Dara and Jiyong and asked, "Will you two be okay? Dara, would be able to handle the difficulty?"

"We can," Jiyong answered for the both of them as he held her hand. Dara smiled at him. 

"Then we should do this!" Youngbae put his hand down in front of everyone. 2nebang gathered together and one by one put their hands upside down on top of YOungbae's as they commit to helping the two lovers' love destiny.

But who said it was going to be easy for the both of them! As their staged breakup spread like wildfire, Dara's admirers flocked like bees to a flower. 

Bigbang passed by the corridor when a known top nerdy student of the eleventh grade offered beautiful bouquet of flowers to Dara. Bom and Cl were awkwardly eyeing at the boys. They promised to protect Dara from the boys but the two girls were having a hard time doing it since Dara's popularity skyrocketed. 

"I promise I would love you, Ms. Park. I may not be as rich as Mr. Kwon but I promise you, I am also a rich boy. I will try to provide for your needs." 

"Mr. Pyo," Dara started but stopped when she noticed Jiyong. She could only apologetically look at him. He took his exclusive phone for her provided by Top and typed something. Just then, her phone beeped. She looked at the message. It said, "Reject him now."

"Mr. Pyo Ji-hoon, I may have broken up with my boyfriend but I have no plans of going into another relationship. I am so sorry." Dara and the girls walked away fast. Pyo Ji-hoon or popularly called PO tried to catch up with Dara but Daesung and Seungri blocked his way.
