CHAPTER 15

" I already got my lawyer 30 minutes earlier but he said no one wants to talk to him since everybody is buzzing around the Governor's son and that police officers don't listen that a book inside his son is crafted as the dagger's perfect camouflaged case.  But then he said, you refused to listen." He transferred his gaze to the man sitting at the lone corner in faded jeans, casual hooded sweater, black cap and sneakers. The man in early thirties stood up and walked towards them. 

"Atty. Daniel Lee, officers! Tablo is my court nickname." The policemen had heard so much about Kwon's legendary lawyer who has never lost a corporate battle in the courtroom. They have seen him a lot in television wearing suits of different styles but his appearance at the moment wasn't what they have pictured of him.

"I am sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier but I tried to, only that he ignored me saying the Governor is coming in at any moment so I made myself comfortable listening to your one-way accusation. Pardon me with my attire, I was out with a fine lady until I received a call from the president saying his son is in here." 

He shook hands with the immobile desk officer. "I have to be straight with you. If the good Governor is to file a case with my client, then we will file a case against his son also. We can also file a case against you, officers, who are present today, for misconduct. I don't have to explain in technical terms the cases I can request for investigation, right? need I mention I took videos as evidence of your biases?" 

The officers were worried. "We are very sorry, Atty. and president Kwon. I believe the Governor can say something in our behalf." 

But the Governor didn't know what to say. The events left him speechless and afraid. 

So, Tablo made matters worse. "If you press charges Governor, I am afraid your son will be investigated with ual harassment and violence against women. Have you heard that he hit a girl last night who collapsed due to the blow she received from your son? To add more, he also touched her thighs without the girl's permission that was why his nose was already bandaged even before the fight with Jiyong occurred. Well, I heard all these from Jiyong's friends which you all disregarded. I am a notable listener, you know." Tablo smiled to Bigbang who looked at him.His litany of possibilities woke the Governor's mind and immediately apologized. 

"I am so sorry, President Kwon. I had no idea he did that to a girl. My apologies, my apologies , Sir. I will discipline my child and I assure you this will never happen again!" The Governor bowed to Jiyong's father. Of course, how can he go against him! He is just a mere governor, while Mr. Kwon has the power to even go against the President of SoKor. 

"I hope you learn a lesson, Governor. The next time you do this to my son and his friends, I don't think I can forgive easily anymore." He turned around and faced the police men. " I will take my son now officers. If there is anything we need to settle, you can talk to my lawyer." 

"Yes, yes, Mr. Kwon. You can also take the other one whose parents haven't come yet." He was referring to Top. 

"Jiyong, let's go, Son." Jiyong and his friends followed his father outside. At the door opening, Dara, Bom, and Cl were waiting. They immediately stood up and bowed when Mr. Kwon came into view. "Anyonghaseyo, Mr. Kwon!"  

"Good evening beautiful ladies." He looked at the gorgeous girls who were in front of him. He then looked at the boys who were at his back. From their eyes, he could tell who's infatuated with who.

Young love, so sweet! Wait till you realize how much pain this young love can cause a man's heart. 

HIs eyes lingered with Dara. He held his jacket and told the girls, "Get home after this girls, your parents are probably waiting for you at home. Do you need a ride?" 

Bom was quick to answer. "Thank you, Mr. Kwon but our drivers are waiting for us at the parking lot." 

"I see. Okay, let me just have a quick word with my son." 

"Deh." They bowed farewell to Jiyong's father. 

Once inside his father's car, Jiyong thanked him. " Thank you for coming for me." He has to admit, for the first time, he felt his father's presence in his life and it got him teary-eyed. "Did Omma call you?"

"Deh. She was so worried the Governor would not be easy on her especially on you. I had to be here."<
