Wendy stood in front of the movie ticket booth, nervous without understanding exactly the reason why. She checks her watch, she’s just in time although she could’ve been here a lot more earlier if she didn’t spend too much time picking what she’ll wear. She ended up wearing her usual denim pants and an old plain beige shirt topped with her jacket anyway. 

She scanned her surroundings until there appeared a wild pokemon. She laughs to herself. The familiar figure came into full view making her open ajar unconsciously. There in front of her is Joohyun in all her goddess glory in her purple off shoulder dress exposing her collar bones. “Hi! Sorry for making you wait. Shall we get the tickets?” Joohyun said while pulling a couple of bills from her wallet to which the blonde girl immediately frowned upon, “Uh no, please let me take this. It’s on me.” Smiling warmly walking towards the booth when she felt Joohyun’s hand grabbing her arm. “No way. That’s too much.” Irene argues, chuckling mid sentence. “You know what, I insist. Just let me get this okay?” Wendy said tapping Joohyun’s shoulder when she saw Joohyun nodding and thanking her and her back and said, “Guys, Wendy said she’s paying tonight. Yay!” Wendy went into a full shock but she managed to appear calm pulling off a smile to acknowledge Joohyun’s friends and their greetings thanking her. 

Inside the cinema Wendy can”t quite shake that something is off, she definitely thought it was a date. She was sure it was a date, she continued sulking quietly as Joohyun is on the other side of their seating arrangement leaving Joohyun’s three friends in between them. Her sulking was interrupted when Joohyun’s friend, Jennie, leaned to her a bit closer but not enough to pass as being invasive. “Are you okay? You look like someone stole your candy.” Wendy sighed in defeat, wanting to let her frustration out she replied, “I just thought it was a date.” mumbled, sound too low making sure no one hears it; even Jennie. But joke’s on her because Jennie definitely catched it, keeping the smile to herself as she straightened her back on  her sit, “interesting” she muttered to herself.
