Summary: Being asked to take care of idols by a policeman you had befriended one day changed your life. Yeah, they were South Korea's biggest superheroes. What you didn't know is that they had a fifth member-- Who? A scientist. By the name of Lee Jeno.

“They are normal people! You’ll learn!”

And Mark made a mental note to go to church and beg for forgiveness for the lies he had spurted out.

For the sake of national security, he kept repeating in his head.

“It’s hard managing myself and you want me to manage idols? Nothing worse than a bunch of men living together.” 

Nothing worse than a bunch of men living together with powers, Mark corrected you in his head

[Police!mark]

“Our fifth member.” Even Haechan looked unsure how to explain it to you. It was a weird situation. The public had no idea of him and he was the one human member of the group that everyone was scared of but he was the core—the reason they could survive until now.

The public wouldn’t react well to them having a human member. A mad scientist, at that.

“Who?” your voice rose, struggling to understand.

“The fifth member,” Lee Haechan repeated. “Lee Jeno.”

“You think I’m hot.”

“Don’t push it,” you warned, Jeno letting out a low chuckle. “Just don’t do it ever again.”

Jeno nodded and you cracked your neck, Jeno looking like he had something in mind. You knew that he wouldn’t say anything if you didn’t push it so your eyes met his and he faltered.

“Uh,” he began, wringing his hands together.

“Oh, just say it, Jeno,” you said to him and Jeno turned pink, avoiding your gaze.

“I think you smell nice, too,” he said and you buffered. His words making you frown for a second before you burst out into laughter, Jeno scratching the back of his head. “B-because you know—I mean, you thought I smelled good so I’m just saying…” 

“Jeno, holy . Just… You don’t have to compliment me back on the things that I was thinking!" 

God, this guy was going to be the death of you.
