I’ve always been the loud one, and ever since my mom died when I was 8, I’ve made it my goal to live life to the fullest. Ever since then, it’s just been me and my dad, at least, until he brought that woman Adal Hyin home a month ago. Now she’s around here all the time, so I don’t stay home much. I don’t think she likes me much, and that’s fine, I don’t like her either, I don’t need a replacement mom.

I’m pretty popular at school but that doesn’t really matter because... I have a crush. 

Her name’s Yin Hi, and she must be one of the cutest girls ever to roam the planet! I sit behind her in math class and we’re in the same English and science classes. Not that I’ve been looking at her scores over her shoulder, but she has straight A’s! We’re also in the same choir, and she sings like an angel! It’s not like she’ll ever notice me though, plus she’s straight… Maybe that will change...
