Byulyi decided to give up.

She did not.

The moment she opens her eyes, she sees Yongsun staring right back at her. She sees her smile sleepily and it made Byulyi smile back.

She is weak.

Too weak.

She is too weak when it comes to Yongsun.

There is a term that her Filipino friend used to tell her. Was it marupok? Byulyi does not remember what the word means exactly but she thinks that it perfectly describes herself.

“M-morning.”

“Good morning.” Yongsun replies as she leans on her elbow, slowly lowering herself to plant a kiss squarely on Byulyi’s lips. If Byulyi was half-asleep earlier, she is fully awake now. Her brain short-circuited at the moment that she could not immediately register that Yongsun slips her tongue inside and gently, gently,  on it.
