a/n: hi! this is the first time i've written after a couple of months so forgive me for being quite rusty. I wrote this under ten minutes just to get out of the writing hiatus bit by bit.

Tossing for the umpteenth time, Joohyun sat up from her previous position and leaned her back against the headboard; eyes red-rimmed and head heavy from the exhaustion that hasn’t caught up with her body.

Staring blankly ahead, her hand absentmindedly roamed the empty space beside her; the spot neatly made and without any indication that someone actually owned that side of the bed.

And as the glaring figures of the clock showed that it was already past 3 in the morning, Joohyun couldn’t help but exhale shakily as she knew that just like every other night prior, sleep wouldn’t be an option without Seungwan by her side.

“Damn you for ruining me, Son Seungwan.”

So like an established routine, Joohyun burrowed herself further into the covers, hands shakily grabbing her phone. Feeling the turmoil of emotions weighing upon her, Joohyun finally allowed herself to just feel as she played the voicemail that’s been on repeat for the past nights.
