Hyukjae was in the kitchen cutting green onions while Seowon was in her bassinet in the living room taking a nap. He heard the sound of the code being inputted in the front door and smiled knowing Donghae was already home. The latter closed the door a little loudly that had Hyukjae frowning when he met his husband by the door.

"Sshh," Hyukjae scolded catching Donghae off guard. "Seowon's asleep in the living room."

Donghae made a quiet 'oh' with his mouth and very quietly took his shoes off. "Why is she not in her bedroom?" He whispered after giving his husband a quick peck on the lips. 

"I was cooking something in the kitchen for the party later so I kept her here just in case she woke up from her nap. Oh, and also, Leeteuk hyung said he'll be the one to pick up the cake when he gets off his shift later."

Donghae nodded his head to whatever Hyukjae just said and walked towards Seowon to make sure she was in her bassinet soundly sleeping. He smiled down at her and couldn't help but caress her soft cheeks with the back of his hand but then had to force himself away before he did something he'd regret later, like interrupt her sleep and waking her up. He had to learn the hard way that interrupting a baby's sleep was never a good move. Instead, he walked to the kitchen where Hyukjae was cooking and sneaked up behind his husband, his arms wrapping around Hyukjae's waist while he placed his chin on Hyukjae's shoulders. The way his hands rubbed on his husband's belly didn't go unnoticed.

"Why are you cooking?" Donghae mumbled against his neck. "I thought we were gonna get food delivered?"

"We are." Hyukjae stirred the soup he was making to make sure that none of it sticks on the bottom. "But I wanted to make the seaweed soup for Seowon's first celebration by hand."

Donghae chuckled and started to lightly nibbled on Hyukjae's shoulder. "Have I told you how y you are when you're cooking?"

Hyukjae rolled his eyes and tried to push Donghae's face away from him. "Every time I cook."

"Well, I can't help it if it's true." Donghae tried to bring Hyukjae in for another hug but the other used the ladle he was holding to keep him at a distance which caused the other to pout. "What's wrong? Why can't I hold you?"

"Because, unless you shoved a camera underneath your pants, I'm not letting you ravage me in the kitchen." Hyukjae pointedly said which only made Donghae whine more. "Seowon's right there in the living room."

"Yeah, but she's asleep."

"You're going to wake her up." Hyukjae snapped and turned his attention back to his cooking. 

Donghae snickered at that comment and plopped himself down on the chair in their kitchen table. "You mean you're going to wake her up."

Hyukjae turned to him with a glare which Donghae responded with an innocent smile. As soon as Hyukjae's back was turned against him, his pout resumed as he drew empty circles around the dining table with his index finger. He's heard of new parents going through a dry spell when they have a newborn but it's been four months since they got Seowon and nearly five months since he and Hyukjae last did it. Not that he was keeping track of it on purpose, but it was hard not to mark it in the calendar when you're trying to get things started on the rare alone and quiet moments you get together and your husband still shuts you down. 

Donghae thought things might pick up a little bit more since Hyukjae's confirmed pregnancy. According to the many many articles Dr. Rominov provided them, Hyukjae's hormones would be going haywire, so along with the sudden burst of mood swings, Hyukjae should also be experiencing certain bouts of that he, as his husband, should be helping him out in. Unfortunately for him, those episodes are yet to occur. 

Hyukjae turned off the stove and turned to face Donghae. He saw the other was still moping and felt a little guilty for pushing him away. It wasn't like he didn't want to give in to Donghae's needs because he's been craving the other just as much (quite possibly more) but he just couldn't risk Seowon's first memories be her catching her two dads doing it in the kitchen. Never mind that she was fast asleep and completely out of view. 

"Hae," he called softly but the other didn't look up and continued to mope. Hyukjae chuckled quietly since Donghae acting childish was not anything new to him. He knew exactly how to get Donghae's attention, so after wiping his hands clean, he walked over to his husband, grabbed his cheeks with both hands and gave him a proper kiss on the lips. Donghae, of course, didn't waste any time and wrapped his arms around Hyukjae's waist as he responded to the kissed. He quickly stood up from his seat effectively taking the lead away from Hyukjae. The latter wasn't surprised and just responded by wrapping his arms around Donghae's neck while the other pushed him back towards the counter. 

Their kiss intensified by the second as Donghae Hyukjae's lower lip and invaded the hot cavern like he hasn't kissed him for months. His hands started to wander a little to the south, hoping to get more out of the kiss when Seowon's cries invaded the entire house. Donghae pulled away with a groan while Hyukjae gasped for air and lightly pushed Donghae away. Donghae held onto his hand, trying to keep him from leaving but Seowon's cries kept getting louder that he reluctantly had to let him go. Hyukjae laughed seeing such a pained expression on Donghae's face and just had to shake his head at him helplessly. 

Donghae had to stay behind in the kitchen and splash cold water to himself in order to calm his raging down before he could go check on their daughter. He didn't realize how badly he wanted Hyukjae until the latter initiated that kiss with him. Needless to say, he will definitely need to revisit that kiss with Hyukjae later on. 

Hyukjae picked Seowon up from her bassinet who was obviously grouchy from having to wake up from her nap. 

"Hello, Seowonnie." He greeted in a slightly high pitched tone then wiped her tears away from her face. "Did you have a bad dream? Hmm? It's okay. Appa's here." Hyukjae looked at the clock and smiled since she slept longer than usual. It was an hour past her usual feeding time so he walked back in the kitchen to make her milk. He walked in just in time to see Donghae drying his face with a paper towel. 

Donghae smiled when he saw his daughter's pouting face in Hyukjae's arm with her head leaning against Hyukjae's chest. 

"Hello, baby." He cooed and took her from Hyukjae so his husband can make her milk without a hitch. "Who woke you up from your nap? Did you have a good dream?" Seowon's pout didn't go away as she continued to stare at Hyukjae who's face was hidden by the opened fridge door. As soon as the other closed it, Seowon started fussing in Donghae's arms and reached her arms forward for Hyukjae to take her. "Oh-Oh! Okay, okay. I got it. You want to go to Hyukkie Appa." 

Hyukjae giggled knowing Donghae felt a little bitter that Seowon's been attaching herself to him lately and carried her in his arms. "Can you make her milk?"

"You're lucky it's your half-birthday and that I love you so much." Donghae said while poking her stomach. Seowon made a cry and wrapped her small arms around Hyukjae's neck. Donghae pouted, a little jealous since he also wanted that - both to hug Hyukjae close and have Seowon wrap her arms tightly around him. 

"Stop being jealous of your own daughter, dummy." Hyukjae said with an obvious teasing grin on his face. 

"I'm not jealous of her!" Donghae argued after he turned the timer of the bottle warmer to two minutes. "It's just not fair that she always goes to you when she's cranky."

Hyukjae rolled her eyes and gently patted Seowon's back when she laid her head down on his shoulders. "She probably just prefers my shoulders cause it's not hard and lumpy like yours."

Donghae scowled at the obvious dig his husband was saying at his muscles. "Yah, my shoulders are not lumpy."

"They are to a baby."

The timer dinged and after Donghae pulled the bottle out did they hear someone ring the doorbell. Hyukjae looked at the time and gasped when he saw it was already 2:30. He grabbed the bottle of milk out of Donghae's hands and adjusted Seowon in his arms. "That's probably Heechul hyung. Why is he always so punctual?" Hyukjae pushed Donghae back out to the living room while he walked towards their bedroom. "I'm gonna change Seowon's clothes for her party. Just keep them distracted until then."

Donghae stared at Hyukjae blankly until he disappeared inside their room. The doorbell rang consecutively three more times which was his cue to open their before Heechul starts banging against it. He opened the door ready to welcome his brother when he was left speechless to also see Siwon standing right next to him. 

"Um...hi?"

Heechul pushed passed Donghae and completely ignored his dumbfounded look. "What took you so long? Are you and Hyukjae already trying for another baby?" He snickered at his own comment, completely unaware of its irony. 

"Hi, Donghae." Siwon greeted politely but even Donghae could tell that there was something off with the way he spoke. He could see the uneasiness on Siwon's face and if he wasn't running on fo
