2 days before the breakup

    With the night sky filled with twinkling stars, cars honking on the roads, her favourite radio playing in the background, Wheein still felt lonely. She was done with all of her exams and here she was all alone staring at the night sky. She wanted to call over Hyejin, but just then she remembered Hyejin having a date with Byulie today. "Ughh lucky people!" Pacing around restlessly in her room she thought of things she could do. And then a certain person invaded her thoughts. "Will she be free? I don't remember her mentioning anything scheduled though." Wheein held her phone comtemplating whether she should call her or not. And just then, her phone screen lit up and her favourite name flashed across the screen, Yongsun Unnie. "Is this what they call telepathy?", Wheein smiled to herself.

"Hello, Unnie!"

"Wheein-ah are you busy?"

"Not at all, why do you ask Unnie?"

"I'm done with all of my work, Wheein-ah. I wondered if you wanted to watch a movie together!"

"Oh movie, sure Unnie. I'll just chan-"

"Ah you don't have to change, let's watch one at my house. Yonghee Unnie's gone to Jeju for a business trip. How about you stay over for the night? I mean it's already pretty late and the movie would take some time" Yongsun tried hard to defend her words.

The moment Yongsun said stay over, thousands of thoughts raced through Wheein's mind while her cheeks turned red. Thank god she was talking on the phone.

"Wheein-ah? You there?"

"Ah yes Unnie. I'll get a set of clothes packed. I've got some Chicken feet I cooked, you want me to bring that too?"

"Oh, I'd love to....also I'm getting some tteokbokki, you want something else?"

"Ughh Unnie, I wonder your organs are replaced by tteokbokki by now!", they shared a laugh.

"Can't help Wheein-ah! Okay then, I'll pick you up in 20 mins. Be ready!"

"Okay Unnie, drive safely!"

    After the call ended, Wheein found herself smiling ear to ear. This always happened to her, whenever she'd text or talk to Yongsun, she'd find herself smiling like she never did. But what she saw around her made her smile fade away. She saw all of her clothes and stuff lying around the room. On a heap of clothes, her son was sleeping comfortably and reality dawned upon her. Yongsun was a cleanliness freak. If she came and saw her room like this, she's first start cleaning all of it herself. Wheein couldn't let her do that. She glanced upon the clock and she had only 15 mins left. Rushing across rooms she started putting every scattered thing in place and cleaned the used utensils. As she hurriedly cleaned everything, her son sheepishly opened his eyes and meowed.

"No ggomo, no more sleep, get up Mommy's gonna clean up the place!" Thanks to her quick reflexes, Wheein was able to clean all the mess up. She washed her face and put some light makeup. Just enough to still be the natural Wheein. As she went on to pack her clothes, the doorbell rang. Wheein opened up the door to find Yongsun standing there. The office attire somehow made her look so hot right now. As Wheein registered the details in her mind, she found herself staring at Yongsun agape.

"Wheein-ah, we have the whole night for you to check me out", smirked Yongsun.

Wheein was suddenly embarrased of her actions, she moved aside and let the older in through the door. "I was just...you know...I mean you look good in that attire." Yongsun rested herself on the bed. Looking at Yongsun on the bed, with a shirt and a loose tie on, Wheein's mind travelled miles. She quickly forced herself to snap out of her imaginations. 

"Unnie, here have some water, I'll get my clothes packed."

    As Yongsun sipped through the glass, she found a little Ggomo staring at her. It's been a few months since Wheein got him, but Yongsun still wasn't as close to him. "What, you hate me taking your Mom away so much?" All Yong got in response was a little growl. She'd always found Ggomo cute. Yongsun was so tired that even such silly conversations with Ggomo felt refreshing to her. Soon Wheein was ready and they left for Yongsun's apartment after bidding Ggomo goodbye.

    

     During the drive, Yongsun glanced at Wheein from time to time. Wheein in her oversized sweater and baggy pants was so cute that Yongsun couldn't help but smile at herself. As they reached Yongsun's apartment, she proceeded to freshen up while Wheein decided to heat up the food they had. Wheein had often been there. The four of them would often meet up at each others places and share stories. They shared a different kind of synergy and that's what made their bond special. Soon Yongsun had freshened up and changed into her favourite pajamas. Eventhough she was wearing those cute pajamas with colorful geometrical shapes on it, Wheein couldn't help but notice her shoulder length hair which she had just washed. With those disheveled locks of hair falling upon her beautifully chubby cheeks, Wheein couldn't use anything less than hot to describe her Unnie. Yongsun reached up to Wheein and sat beside her. "Mmmm what do we watch? Did you have anything in mind, Wheein-ah?"

Wheein broke off from her trance, "There's this rom-com movie Hyejin has been asking me to watch.."

"Okay, let's watch it then!"

    Soon they'd finished all of their food and Yongsun looked sleepy. Well she was quite tired from work, still the movie kept her up. Wheein put all the dishes in the sink and joined her. Yongsun couldn't help but lean on Wheein. Wheein took a pillow, placing it on her lap, she tapped it for Yongsun to lie down. "You're tired Unnie, lie down here...and sleep if you feel like it". Yongsun couldn't feel more thankful. This was prettymuch normal for them these days. They'd often meet up, talk about their day and there'd be moments like this they wanted to cherish all their lives. But none of them ever tried to voice these feelings, afraid to know if it wasn't the same. But they felt contented, spending time like this, no occasion, nothing special but still sharing moments like these were the best. Throughout the movie, they smiled, laughed and cried together. Wheein looked down to find Yongsun's eyes closed and a light snore. "Cutee", she thought.

    The movie was almost at it's end when the lead couple was sharing a passionate kiss. Wheein's lips curled into a smile as she looked onto them and then to the girl laying on her lap. Taking in all of her striking features, Wheein imagined how it'd be to kiss Yongsun.

"Feels like I'm more interesting than the movie huh...", Yongsun could feel Wheein's eyes on her. Wheein failed to notice that Yongsun had her eyes open and was watching the movie. "Uhh that...um", Wheein was fighting to find the right words when Yongsun chuckled. "It's okay you can look at me all you want, Wheein-shi", said Yongsun eyes still glued to the TV screen so that Wheein wouldn't feel awkward. Wheein just smiled and engraved this precious moment they had right now.

    Soon the movie ended,Yongsun yawned and Wheein couldn't contain her smile. Generally, whenever Wheein stayed over she'd take over Yongsun's room while she took over Yonghee's. But this time, Yonghee had put up the room for renovation.

"Wheein-ah you take my bed, I'll go with the couch."

Wheein felt guilty, she knew how tired Yongsun was and how she needed a goot night's sleep.

"Unnie, your bed is twice as mine! We can just share it. I don't want you to get the back pain again"

"Well then if you insist", Yongsun tried to look away as fast as possible, she needed to hide her red cheeks right now "You go ahead, I'll just check the lights once."

    Few moments later, Yongsun joined Wheein as she got under the sheets. They were inches away from each other. With both of their backs turned to each other, they could hear each other's light breaths. Yongsun felt like her heart would pop out of her, she couldn't believe she was so close to Wheein right now. Just then Wheein softly called out to her.

"Unnie, asleep?"

Yongsun turned back to find Wheein facing her. The silence felt more beautiful as both of them looked at each other intently.

"Can't fall sleep?" asked Yongsun softly.

"More like I don't want to" smirked Wheein. Yongsun looked confused. Just then Wheein placed her palm on Yongsun's cheeks.

"I can't tell you how much I wanted to hold these mochi cheeks. You're too cute, Unnie!"

    Right at this moment, Yongsun wanted to fight herself with all her might. The softness and warmth she felt right couldn't help her think. Finally, she gave in. Yongsun leaned forward closing the little space between them and placed her lips on that of Wheein. The kiss was soft and tender, but when Yongsun couldn't feel Wheein respond to it, she pulled away. She looked at Wheein and couldn't see any movement. Yongsun got nervous and started blabbering.

    Meanwhile, all Wheein could think of right now was how sweet and satisfying it felt when Yongsun's lips touched hers. She just couldn't believe that her Unnie, who she's been secretly crushing on over the past few weeks or months, she really didn't know how long, she just kissed her. And suddenly all those moments when Yongsun was with her, made her feel special, when Wheein adored and admired Yongsun flashed before her eyes. It was minutes later Wheein realized that the kiss was over and Yongsun was panicking.

"Unnie, did you say something?"

"Oh my god, you must be so shocked. I'm so sorry, Wheein-ah. I was just carried away...I shouldn't have you kn..."

"This Unnie's crazy, I need to stop her", thought Wheein. Wheein placed her hand on the back of Yongsun's neck and pulled her close. She couldn't wait another moment and kissed Yongsun. This time it was more passionate, a feeling of longing lingered and sparks ignited through them. When the need for oxygen felt evident, Wheein reluctantly broke the kiss. 

"Unnie, I can't say how I'm feeling right now"

"Then, don't Wheein-ah", saying so Yongsun put her hand on Wheein's waist and pulled her close. They shared a deep desperate kiss and Wheein rested her head on Yongsun's chest. They snuggled close and sleep engulfed them over.

 

 

Present day

 

    It's been two days since the events and Byul was reviewing the media views and public interests statistics from the event. She had a meeting scheduled with Eric later who was gonna convey her about the further steps GenZ entertainment would like to proceed with.

"Seulgi, the stats look quite good huh"

"Well, the event we planned out was pretty good but the appearance of The King cast actually catered it well to the general public."

    Byul's mind wandered to events that took place that day. She remembered Hyejin entering the event with hands around that of Lee Minho's. She felt like her insides were burning up when she remembered the short conversation they had in the garden. She remembered seeing tears welling up in Hyejin's eyes soon after which she left. Byul couldn't help but let out bitter words that day. She felt like all of the thoughts she had buried in her heart just wanted to break free that day. 

    As Byul tried to compose herself and not lose her cool, Eric had arrived for the meeting. Byul had first met Eric through Yongsun who knew each other due to common friends. Eric knew quite much about about why Byul had shifted to NY and stories from 5 years ago. He was working with a quite successful agency in NY, GenZ and Byul got Starship to communicate with them with Eric's help.

"So, how is our CEO-nim doing?"

"You know you don't have to address me like that, Hyung", chuckled Byul.

"Of course, so looking at the stats you've been pretty good it seems"

"I'm great as long as the stock prices are going up", remarked Byul.

"Ah, of course there's CEO Byul" they both shared a laugh "Okay so about the collab, they've been quite impressed with the anniversary event and there've even been having talks about a collab idol group just as you wished."

"Thank lord, I was so nervous what they'd feel about it"

"Ahh don't be, their views have been very positive. Also they've shortlisted some actors and actresses for the roles and would like to know your preferences"

"Oh spill it!"

"For the male lead, they've been interested about Kim Soo Hyun, Park Bo Gum and Loco"

"Ohh...from the bits of the script I've seen, Kim Soo Hyun and Loco would do really good! I'll still think more about it. What about the female lead?"

"For that, there're considering Chungha, Hwasa and IU", suddenly silence felt upon the room while Byul's expression was totally uninterpretable. She seemed to be lost in deep thought and Eric knew why. 

"Byul-ah, you must be wanting to discuss this with your team and consider all possibilities"

Byul broke off her trance, "Um yes..I'd have to consider the options"

"Sure, take your time. Think it over, we'll have another meeting on the coming Monday. I'd have to convey it to the NY team by Thursday."

"Okay then"

"Sure then, have a nice day", saying so Eric took his leave.

    Sujin wasn't able to figure out what actually was going on in Hyejin's mind. She'd dropped Hyejin home that night while she cried throughout the way home. Sujin just decided to give her some time and space and so now she was going to visit her wishing she'd now be able to open up better. 

    As she reached her penthouse and rang the bell, Hyejin opened the door with a smile. Sujin entered to see Hyejin had cooked some rice, stew and rolled eggs for breakfast. 

"So, how're you feeling?"

"Much better Unnie", said Hyejin with a light smile.

"Well, just so you know I'm always here to listen to you. You can share anything you want!"

Hyejin knew Sujin was dying of curiosity right now, "Just ask Unnie, you know you're not just a manager to me."

Sujin returned a smile.

        "That night, I was feeling a bit suffocated Unnie, so I spent some time in the small garden beside the lawn" Sujin was listening intently, "She came up to me and talked to me. You know why I cried so much that night Unnie, I realised something dangerous that night. She told me she hated me. But that's not what was worst. Of course I expected her to hate me after all of this. You know how she called me. Hyejin-ah, as she took my name, I could see those same love filled eyes, that affection in her voice. All this time she smiled or talked to me, I could definitely tell it was all fake. But at that moment, I just wanted her to keep calling my name like that. For that moment, I was vulnerable. I wanted to reach her, hug her tightly. Tell her, I was sorry and she's the only person I've ever loved. All these years I lived thinking I was over her, but that moment it was as if I was standing on a cliff and wanted to just jump off it. I tried to deny my feelings for her all these years, but I couldn't when she's loved me so much. The fear that I wanted her again drove my feet away from there. Realising these dangerous feelings still existed, I couldn't do anything but cry. Cry my heart out."

"I understand, Hyejin-ah. We're humans after all. We're bound to have feelings. Just don't be too hard on yourself."

"Thank you, Unnie for listening to me. It feels a bit better now that I've let it out."

    Wheein thought about the events from that night and smiled. She could still hear Yongsun's words playing in her head.

"No, Wheein-ah. It was one of the most important moments of my life. But it's been a long time since then, Wheein-ah and a lot of things have changed since then", Wheein's eyes dropped at this. "But Wheein-ah, how about we start again. A fresh start. I want to know you, make up for these last 5 years. I want to give us some time."

    Wheein couldn't help but blush at those words. Of course she was a bit disappointed at first but somehow she too felt it was right to get to know each other and spend time again. She'd not wanted to rush into things abruptly. And so they promised to have a fresh start again. To give another chance to this precious relationship they shared.

    As Wheein was thinking about these events, her phone rang and she was more than delighted to find it was Yongsun calling her. 

"Hello, Unnie"

"Hi, Wheein-ah! Have you been good?"

"Yes Unnie, how about you?"

"Well what can you expect from an office worker, just eagerly waiting for the weekend" sighed Yongsun.

"Oh, come on Unnie you've still got a pretty interesting job!"

"Ahh as if", they shared a laugh.

"Ah Wheein-ah, I called to ask you. Are you free this Sunday? We could meet and catch up a bit. Just like the times we were in college you know."

Wheein smiled at the memories,"Umm there's a piece I've got to finish. But don't worry I'll be done by Sunday. Let's catch up then."

"Oh great then! I'll text you the details later. Gotta go work else you know how strict my Boss Unnie can be" chuckled Yongsun.

"Oh sure, take care Unnie. See you then."

"See you Wheein-ah..." Just when Wheein was about to end the call she heard Yongsun calling her name,"Yes Unnie?"

 
"I missed you, Wheein-ah..."

 

"I missed you too, Unnie!"

 

 

 

 

 

So finally I'm back with an update. This time I swear I wasn't being lazy, college assignments and submissions just didn't let me get here. But I'm glad I finally I have a week off and I'm aiming to update twice this week. Let's hope I'd be able to pull it off. Anyways, here's an update and I hope you enjoy some Wheesun fluff here.
