This was the first executive meeting Byul was having with her team. The 25 yr anniversary was a week away and almost all preparations were done. 

"This event is very important for us", Byul addresed the team "We're going to have performances by our best artists. I've been having some discussions with GenZ talent agency in NY and some members of the agency agreed to be at this event. So this is our chance to showcase our artists."

   The team was intently listening to Byul as she continued, "According to my plans, this year end we are going to announce our first global project. I've had some talks with the agency and they'd be collaborating with us for their new film. So it's very important for us to make a good impression at the anniversary event. I want every detail to be perfect. Any issues, contact me directly or relay the messages to Secretary Kang. So any more ideas anyone wants to suggest?" 

   One of the team members timidly raised his hand. He continued, "I wished to suggest something. How about we invite the cast of The King.... it was a very anticipated drama and them attending the event would also garner local as well as international attention. Also this was the biggest project Starship produced this year, so that makes it meaningful."  Byul carefully listened to everything.

"Well your idea, I like it. The points you made are quite good so let's invite them all." 

"Thank you, so should I add them to the card delivery list?"

"Mmm....wait. Aren't they having their last shoot today. How about I invite them myself! Well, Hwasa-shi and Lee Minho-sshi are such great artists and I'd love to invite them personally. Okay then, that's it for today's meet. Everyone make sure the anniversary event is perfect!"

   The team dispersed and Byul's secretary turned to her.

"Unnie, what exactly are you trying to do?"

"Uh-uh...is this how you talk to your boss?"

"I don't want to talk to Miss Moon now, Byulie Unnie!"

"U know what Seulgi-ah, this is why I was reconsidering if I should take you as my secretary. Can you just not nag at me now? And don't worry, I just wanna face her. I'd anyways have to do that any day soon"

"Okay then, but promise me you'd not cause any trouble and not let yourself hurt. Also, you liar, you hired me because you know I was the best."

"Okay I surrender, let's go meet the so called Hallyu queen now!", Byul said with a smirk.

         "Aaaanddd cuttt!", the lights were back on as the director signalled the end of the shoot. The leads stepped out and thanked everyone from the crew to the staff. This huge project which was anticipated by the entire country was now coming to an end. As the director congratulated Hyejin and Minho-sshi, the assistant director came running to him.

"Director-nim, CEO Moon has just arrived here!"

     Old memories flashed through Hyejin's eyes as she heard Byul's name. She remembered when she was shooting her first drama. It was a small role. She had to shoot for 1-2 hours or so. Byulie made sure to visit her on the set with drinks for all the staff. She went around thanking and asking people to take care of her. Tears started to well in her eyes as she saw how Byul was always there for her, caring so much about her.

As Hyejin was lost in her thoughts, a voice caught her attention. The voice which she once heard everyday.

"Congratulations, Hwasa-shi!", Byul extended her hand. Hyejin looked at her. She still looked as beautiful. A little taller than herself, she still had that girl crush vibe, adorning a suit with a slight smirk. As  soon as Hyejin realized she'd been staring at her for too long, she accepted the handshake. She couldn't understand if it was just an illusion, but she felt Byul's eyes soften for a split second as their palms touched. Before they could fall in a trance, they took their eyes off each other.

"It's great to see you after such a long time, Hwasa-shi!", Byul said to Hyejin with a smile.

"Oh, thank you", Hyejin didn't know how to react because all of this Byul seemed fake, she felt like a totally different person.

"So, it must be a special day, since you're visiting us personally, Ms.Moon?", asked the director.

"Oh, yes I absolutely forgot about that. Well, as you all know it's the 25 year anniversary for Starship Entertainment and so we're holding a small event to celebrate the day. We have invited some special guests from Korea and overseas. It'd be great if you can join us."

"Oh, we'd love to", replied Lee Min Ho, "how about we go together Hwasa-shi...it'd be the first time after the drama and the fans would love it..."

"Oh..should we do that...I think I had some schedule tha..", Hyejin tried to avoid the situation. She wasn't ready for this. She didn't want to hurt herself more by seeing Byul around her.

"Ah...I would've loved if you'd come. I even personally came to invite you. Wouldn't it be unfair, Hwasa-shi? " Byul wanted to make Hyejin feel this way, where she would want to run away but she couldn't. In a way this was a revenge for her. All she wanted was for Hyejin to feel the pain she once felt because of her.

       Wheein lied on the bed as she wondered if she should call Yongsun. Did she want to? Of course yes. Yongsun may not know but she was a special person to Wheein. Wheein always liked to rely on her. She could trust her with little things. Her crazy antics, she loved to watch and be embarrassed of them...also sometimes imitate her. She loved spending time with her. Just as she was reminiscing old days, her phone buzzed and Wheein couldn't believe her eyes. It was Yongsun calling. After calming herself, she picked up the call. She could feel the nervousness on the other side.

"Wheein-ah"

Oh god she missed that voice, "Hello, Unnie"

"How are you feeling now? I hope you're okay", Wheein could feel Yongsun being very careful with each word.

"Yes Unnie, I'm much better. Don't worry"

"Well, that's good to hear. I think it was because of exhaustion. You should rest more. You even have the special exhibition ahead of you."

"Oh right! I heard you're designing the outfit for Hyoyeon Unnie"

"Yea..that's probably my first project in Korea. Well then, you should have some sleep now and don't forget to take the medicines."

"Unnie", Wheein paused for a second thinking if she should ask this "Is that all you want to say?"

"Mmm...let's talk more when we meet some time...it's too late now"

"Oh...you'll attend the exhibition right! Let's meet that day then"

"Oh...okay", as Yongsun was about to end the call, she heard Wheein speak.

"And Unnie....please don't run away this time", saying so Wheein ended the call.

        After the short call, Wheein couldn't help but keep thinking about Yongsun. She remembered the times when they were still in college.

     Wheein looked around the library and spotted Yongsun. She was reading a book while Chorong was trying to annoy her. 

"Hey Wheein-ah! Here's the book you wanted."

"Thanks a lot Unnie! But why are you in the library? Did you need some books too?" asked Wheein.

"Oh no no", interrupted Chorong, "she's actually waiting for her girlfriend. Joohyun said she'll be here soon. Ain't I right Kim Yongsun-shi", teased Chorong and let out a light laugh.

"Yaa...Park Chorong...can you shut that crappy mouth of yours. Just wait till I sew your lips one day!"

    Wheein smiled as she saw the both of them arguing in such a cute way. Just then someone crawled behind Yongsun's chair and covered her eyes.

"Guess! Guess! Who is it?"

"Who else, that same irritating voice that I've been listening since god knows when. Yaa... Bae Joohyun, leave me now!"

"Woahh, I am so irritating right! From now, I'm not ever gonna talk to you!", said Joohyun as her lips pouted and she turned away from Yongsun.

"Ah Joohyun-ah, you know I was just joking. I'm sorry", Yongsun backhugged her," I'm sorry, please don't be mad "

    This cute scene somehow bothered Wheein quite a lot. But she was quite good at hiding her feelings and so she quietly looked at them as they made up and Yongsun left with Joohyun bidding Wheein goodbye.

Eventhough, she controlled her feelings, she couldn't help but wonder about Yongsun and Chorong's relationship. She decided to ask Chorong.

"Unnie, about Yongsun Unnie and Joohyun Unnie, are they really dating?"

"I bet they are. I mean their history goes back to when we were in school. They've known each other since forever and they always used to be together. Then I became friends with Yong and we've been close friends since. They were the most popular couple in school! From what I know, Yong liked her first and then they started dating", listening to all of this Wheein felt like crying inside. She didn't know why she was feeling like this but she felt broke and sad, maybe disappointed too. What kind of feeling was this? 

"But", that one word suddenly caught her attention again, like a tiny ray of hope, "Yong says they broke up years ago just after school. Well Joohyun says that too. But I don't really believe it! Like what kind of exes behave like that!"

    "Well, Joohyun unnie is pretty and they've been childhood friends, I guess she would never choose me against her" thought Wheein, "But what if they really broke up. I may still have a chance right...Ah Jung Wheein what is it with you!!! Yes, you'll definitely die alone!"   

   As Wheein came back to the present, she thought about whatevar she felt that day and said to herself.

   "Unnie, now I know why I felt like that. Because I needed you. I wanted you to be mine. I loved you, I loved you Yongsunnie!", thought Wheein as she drifted back trying to sleep.
