"W-Wendy?" 

Wendy smiled at her and entered her office. "You're avoiding me for the whole week now."

Irene stood up and looked at Wendy. Her eyes were full of sadness and pain. She's just like the old Irene but more vulnerable.

"We're living in the same house but you still successfully avoided me."

Irene didn't respond but at one look on the girl, Wendy knew that Irene has been hurt because of her. Irene doesn't show her emotions easily, but right now, Wendy could definitely see and feel it.

"Look I'm sorry fo-"

"It's okay. You're forgiven."

"Irene, please just listen to me."

"Look," Wendy bit her lip while thinking of the things that she will say. Why didn't I memorize this? "I was just scared, okay? I-I admit that I'm a coward and I just... got scared. I'm scared that mom will disown me and your dad will be mad at you."

Irene bitterly smiled at her. "It's okay."

Wendy rolled her eyes. "Can you just let me finish?"

Silence surrounds them.

After a few seconds of silence, Wendy let out a long sigh and smiled at Irene.
"Look, I...just missed you. So much."

Irene furrowed her eyebrows. "B-but you just said that you're scared. Look Wendy, I'm tired of getting used and tricked by my father every single time. I hope you're telling the truth because I'm tired. If you're saying that just to make me happy again, then it's not working. It's not definitely working, Wendy."

Wendy lowered her head. She knows that she's sincere with her feelings, she won't and can't play with Irene's feelings. "But... I'm not playing tricks on you."

Irene never romantically liked a person so much in her while life. Yes, she had numerous flings but none of it compared on how serious she felt with Wendy.

Wendy is different from her flings. Too different.
