A Little Thing Called Love
“Here goes nothing,” Jonghyun took a deep breath, exchanging glances with Jinki before both of them stepped out of his car.
The neighborhood was silent, at least for now and Jonghyun just couldn’t digest the peace in the worried state he was. If anything, this was just the silence before the storm. He started to head towards his house and was halfway through the driveway when he turned to look at the next house, but he couldn’t find Jinki there. He turned around, finding Jinki a couple of steps behind him, stopping short and smiling nervously on being caught.
“Babe, I’m worried,” Jinki said, taking those two steps that were separating them, “Your grandma, I’m so sorry, but your grandma, she’s a bomb.”
“What about your dad? Your uncle?”
“Dad’s strict but even he knows the actual war is between my uncle and your grandma, he might scold me and maybe, that would be it. My uncle will create a ruckus but…” he smirked, “have I ever cared about what he says? I wouldn’t be here if I did.”
“So then, you’re planning to face grandma with me?” Jonghyun smiled weakly, “Well, you can try if she doesn’t chase you away the moment she sees you, that is.”

He was dreading who’d open the door, wondering if it was better his mom did, so he could relax a bit before facing the storm, or if it was better if his grandma did, so he could just get it over with quickly.
The door opened and Jinki straightened up right away, getting a little scared as he pulled his t-shirt down awkwardly, fixing the way he was standing and straightening his back. Jonghyun would have laughed at how ridiculous he seemed if it wasn’t for the dark expression clouding his grandma’s face.
From how she hadn’t asked the reason for Jinki’s presence, nor did she chase him away, it was evident that she already knew something. Tch. Joon and his ing loose tongue.
“How long has this been going on?” She asked, folding her arms and both Jinki and Jonghyun exchanged puzzled glances.
“Three and… no, four years?” Jinki answered, his tone had changed into a squeaky one and again, Jonghyun would have laughed, had it been in any other setting but this.
“That long?!” She was visibly shocked and pulled Jonghyun inside, closing the door without another word.
Jinki just sighed, staring at the closed door for a while before heading towards his house.
Jonghyun was sitting on the sofa, hugging
