Everything was absolutely chaotic backstage, but that's just how it usually was. It was chaotic, but a good kind of chaotic. Everyone was preparing for the concert to begin. It was going to start only within a matter of time. All the members were scattered as they were each getting ready. Likewise, Mark was in the midst of putting his mic on when he, once again, felt a pang in his heart. He frowned all while he proceeded in doing his tasks in preparation.

It was the day following the night he had asked Soojung to attend the first concert to see him. Soojung had on an apologetic expression when she saw him. His initial smile began to fade as he realized something was wrong. "What's up? Why do you look so down?" He asked with a chuckle, hoping it wasn't anything too horrible.

"I'm sorry, but something came up and I won't be able to go to your concert."

"What about the next day? We have the second that you can go to. In fact, wasn't that the plan? For you to go to both? You can just go to one, don't worry."

She shook her head sadly, "I'm sorry, but I can't go to either one. I'm really sorry, Mark." By now his heart had already sunk low in his chest. Even so, he forced a fake smile to reassure her that everything was fine; He didn't want to make her feel bad. He gave a little chuckle to lighten up the mood despite feeling a little crushed. Little- hell, he felt extremely sad. "It's okay, there's always another concert in the future that you can go to. Thank you for telling me though."

"I'm really sorry."

Nothing really felt right; Donghyuck wasn't here to perform alongside him. On top of that, Soojung couldn't make it either. This was nothing he expected at all. He really wanted to perform with his best friend in front of his girlfriend. Unfortunately, neither of that were going to happen. Would it be too selfish of him to wish that they both could be here right now? Would he be too selfish if he asked for everything to go the way he wished it would? Maybe that would make him selfish, but even so, he really wished they were here to experience this moment with him.

The male felt Taeyong place a hand on his shoulder, causing him to look at the older. The latter gave him a comforting smile, "Hey, it's okay. Just perform your off for them. I know it's a bummer, but you can do it for them since they aren't here." To be honest, Taeyong's last minute words did help him feel a little better. In that moment, he felt his phone buzz.
