“Huh? What did you say?” Woohyun asked when he returned from his daydream that Howon was getting his attention and his thick brows were wriggling away. “Oh! You can see me?! Wow! Amazing!” Howon palmed his mouth and his other hand pressed onto his chest, giving a dramatic shocked pose. “Lee Howon.” Woohyun combed his fingers through his soft hair frustratingly. “Come on! Lesson's starting!” Their friend with long limbs caught up and clutched the collar of the shirt that Howon was wearing. Howon's arms were flapping as Sungyeol pulled up his collar a tad too high causing his short muscular limbs to spread up in the air. Woohyun dragged his feet into the class and slammed his bag on the table and took out his notes absentmindedly. Thereafter, he closed his lids to wait for the lecturer to announce his arrival. “Good afternoon class.” Woohyun sat straight and opened his eyes, hands busy with flipping the notes and swinging the pen. There was still no one in front of him. During his absence, his previous seat was occupied by a kid. Woohyun had chosen a new seat which was exactly two rows behind his favourite classmate who was still missing class. He lowered his head and let out a soft yawn, rubbing his eyes a little to shed those excess sleepy tears. A late-comer hurried passed his seat and got his attention. And Woohyun beamed when he noticed that his missing in action classmate took his usual spot. Thereafter, Woohyun was restless. Doing small air kicks under the table, rocking his body back and forth, smiles curved up silently. If he was not sitting at an area a little distance away from the remaining classmates, he bet those kids would be throwing him weird darts. Already weeks in school and Woohyun had not be on close terms with any of the kids in the class. The kids wanted to be friends with Woohyun who did not care about making any. But this nerdy guy was the only he wanted to know more. He had a question in mind for him too. “Nam Woohyun! Kim Sunggyu! See me after this.” The lecturer cleared his throat before lecture ended and all the other kids were fleeing from the scene. The two said names froze in their seat. Were they too obvious in their own worlds?

“Both of you are the only ones whose names have yet to be submitted for the upcoming project. I will have to pair you two up.” Woohyun was struggling to keep his teeth inside his lips. “Kim Sunggyu. So that is his name”. He so wanted to break into a huge smile after the lecturer's arrangement. “Perfect!” He was back to his seat after the lecturer dismissed them with a “get to know each other well and submit the project on time.” Woohyun observed his new project partner packing his stuff slowly as if his body would crack on any big movements. This was the chance. Woohyun quickly swept all things into his haversack and brought his feet down where his project partner was standing.

“I have group discussions after school. You will be fine on your own right?” Myungsoo eyed his younger brother. “Yeah.” He replied in short and bade goodbye to Myungsoo. The house was empty since Soohyun was away as he was posted for an overseas operation. Sunggyu threw his bag and himself on the couch. “Ouch!” He forgotten his sore back and sat up, feeling the pain area. His eldest brother had wanted him to go back to school a week later but Sunggyu vouched for that he would be fine without aggravating the healing wound in school. Myungsoo, for the first time, assured his eldest brother that he would be looking out for Sunggyu more than usual. And there, Soohyun flew off early this morning and it was Sunggyu’s first day back to school and then his second brother did not look out for him and he had returned home alone. Sunggyu removed the glasses that created two tiny marks on the bridge of his nose. It was a hassle wearing spectacle and their eldest brother had insisted. Although the young Kims had made it to the headlines with their faces blown up big on front page in the past, Sunggyu did not think any of the locals here would still remember or even knew they were those kids whose on-duty parents died in a massive car explosion injuring several national leaders. Besides, that was 20 years ago and they already outgrown from their childish features. “I do not want to invite other possibilities.” Soohyun was always careful.
