Every fairy tale has a classic cliche: The handsome prince falls in love with a beautiful girl and they live happily ever after.

Yet when she's ripped from his grasp, her memories of them gone, Jaehyun realizes happy endings don't come that easily.

Swallowing the hard lump that had formed in , she looked up at the man who stared back at her with eyes that bore into her soul. He looked like he was seeing through her, as if he knew her every thought, every secret, yet all she could see was a stranger.

“What was I to you?” She finally mustered the courage to ask.

For a moment, he said nothing, closing his eyes shut as if the question physically hurt him and she wondered if he would answer her question at all.
