Chapter 4

Forbidden Love

It had been a few weeks since they had begun to practice, they had managed to learn about 4 songs in total and were practicing them to the best they can do before they move onto more difficult songs. Although it seemed like Yoohyeon was definitely a bit of an airhead with the amount of times Handong had to slap Yoohyeon’s head for forgetting to come in at the right times.

At least they still had a month before they would have their first busking performance and a month and a half before their first ever performance on a stage (other than their school stage). They had four songs, so another two would be enough to perform.

Even though Siyeon loved being here at the club, playing music and goofing off, she still couldn’t wait to go home and lay on her warm, soft, comfortable bed. Practice finally ended and she could finally go home. She was just so tired, at least she knows she’ll be able to stay on her bed all weekend.

Or maybe not.

“Hey Siyeon!” Yoohyeon came up to her, a warm eye smile on her face that Siyeon couldn’t help but smile back, even if the best she could muster was a small tired smile. This seemed to concern the 1st year a bit, as her smile dropped and worry was written on her face.

“You uh good there Siyeon? You seem a little out of it right now.”

“I’ll be fine don’t worry too much about.” Still, it seemed that this didn’t help ease Yoohyeon’s worry at all. “Anyways, was there anything you wanted?”

As Siyeon finished speaking, she noticed that the 1st year’s face once again changed, this time nervousness appeared on her face. “I-I was uh wondering, you were interested in going to the uh, fair tomorrow. I was going to go with Yubin, but she just told me her family is visiting. And I-I uh don’t want to go alone.”

Siyeon was caught off guard by the invitation, not expecting it from Yoohyeon. They all got along but sometimes it seemed like the girl would avoid talking to Siyeon on a one-on-one conversation. Plus, Siyeon wasn’t used to being invited to hang out, she preferred to be alone and most classmates were intimidated by her. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to go to the fair, it would be fun right?

“Yeah sure, I’ll join you.”

“Wait, are you serious? Just like that?”

“What were you expecting? For me to say no?

“I just thought that you probably weren’t interested. Handong overheard me talking to Yubin about asking you to hang out, and she said you usually never go out on the weekends. She said you don’t even leave your bed, and spend your time listening to emo music, said it was a bit pathetic and tha-”

Siyeon quickly covered Yoohyeon’s mouth, cutting the beginning of what would be Yoohyeon’s rant. Siyeon didn’t want to know all the stuff Handong told both Yoohyeon and Yubin, she already felt her cheeks warm up at hearing the emo part.

“Hey, it’s not that complicated. I’m going with you because you’re my friend and it seems like fun. I mean I haven’t been to the fair in years so it’ll be nice.” Seeing that Yoohyeon had calmed down a bit, and that she probably wouldn’t continue ranting, Siyeon removed her hand from Yoohyeon’s mouth, stepped back and waited for Yoohyeon’s next move, seemed like the girl had gotten lost in thought.

Surprisingly, Yoohyeon snapped out of her daydream in seconds, shaking her before focusing on Siyeon. The 1st year’s expression resembling that of an excited puppy.

This time, Yoohyeon snapped Siyeon out of her thoughts, “So you’ll actually go to the fair with me?” Siyeon couldn’t help but think that Yoohyeon looked cute with her hopeful eyes. Honestly, all Yoohyeon had to do was look at her with those puppy eyes and Siyeon would do anything.

“I’ll go with you alright, not going to let you be sad and alone at the fair. Wouldn’t want a sad furry on our hands.” Siyeon said, sporting a smug grin on her face.

“Wha-? I am not a furry!” Yoohyeon pouted, crossing her arms as well. Even though it seemed like Yoohyeon tried looking serious, Siyeon thought she looked more like a baby.

Siyeon decided to have some fun messing with Yoohyeon, not every day she has the opportunity.

“It’s okay Yoohyeon, there’s nothing wrong with being a furry. You don’t have you hide it.” Siyeon went to hug the younger girl, noticing Yoohyeon had the face of disgust.

Siyeon continued, “We won’t judge you, well maybe Handong and Yubin will. Well I won’t judge your furry tendencies. I accept you as you are”

“Come on Siyeon, I am not a furry. I don’t even act like one.” Hearing this, Siyeon took her arms off of Yoohyeon, and scoffed. “Uh, what about all the times you’ve barked during rehearsal. Yubin also told me you used to introduce yourself as little doggy. Sounds like a furry to me.”

“I don’t introduce myself like that, I was just a little kid at the time,” Yoohyeon grumbled. Clearly not amused at the teasing.

“Alright, I’ll stop messing with you. For now.” Siyeon chuckled as she heard Yoohyeon whine. “Anyways, let’s start heading out so I can lock up and we can talk more on our way out.” Yoohyeon only gave a nod as a confirmation.

They both grabbed their bags and headed towards the door, Siyeon making a quick check to make sure there wasn’t anything abnormal, then turning off the lights and finally locking up. Both of them were silent, heading toward the teachers’ room. The silence was quite comfortable, no awkwardness surrounding, well at least Siyeon thought that. In her peripheral vision, Siyeon could see how Yoohyeon had her head down, but other than that, Yoohyeon didn’t look uncomfortable. The girl was probably over thinking things again.

They reached the teachers’ room, where Siyeon went inside while Yoohyeon stayed outside. The 3rd year was only returning the club room’s key, and she quickly returned in seconds.

They only walked a bit before Yoohyeon exploded with excitement. The 1st year sporting the biggest smile that Siyeon had ever seen. Her eyes crinkling, and nose scrunching which the older girl had always found to be adorable. Siyeon couldn’t help but smile too, Yoohyeon’s smiles are always contagious.

“We’re going to have so much fun at the fair tomorrow. We got to try every ride there and the games too, and of course we can’t forget about the food and snacks. Is there anything specific you want do first?” Siyeon was taken aback once again, the information flooding in all at once. She had to think before replying, letting all the words sink in.

“Well, we should probably go on the rides first, then grab some food afterwards. Wouldn’t want any accidents if we eat first. You also know most of the games at the fair are all scams, right? You’d blow all your money before actually winning something.”

“I guess you’re right, but can we at least play a couple.” Yoohyeon gave Siyeon the puppy eyes, and Siyeon knew she already lost, there was no way she couldn’t say no to the 1st year.

“Fine, we can do a couple games, but we’ll have to put a limit on how much you can spend on the games.” At that, Yoohyeon jumped up then went to hug Siyeon, squeezing her tightly.

“Uh, can you let me go Yooh. You’re hugging me a little too much.”

“Oh, sorry Siyeon,” the 1st year quickly detaching herself, looking a little embarrassed at her actions. “I just got a little too excited.”

“It’s fine, just try not to squeeze all my air out next time.”

Both then realized, that they had gotten to the school entrance and would have to head separate paths. Yoohyeon seemed to deflate a bit, seemed like she didn’t want say goodbye just yet, and Siyeon didn’t want to either but they both had to head home soon.

“Don’t be too sad Yooh, we’ll see ach other again tomorrow and spend the whole evening together.”

“Yeah, we’ll goodbye for now then.”

“Bye Yooh, I’ll see you tomorrow then.”

They both bid each other farewell, yet neither one had moved had moved. Siyeon made the first move first, turning around and started walking to the direction of her home. All the tiredness hitting her, and she groaned. It seemed like being with Yoohyeon made her body gain energy and forget about her tiredness, but now she felt all the exhaustion. All she wanted was to flop on her bed and pass out for a whole week.

A small part of her regretted agreeing to hang out, but a bigger part of her was excited to be with Yoohyeon again. She didn’t think more of it, her body going on autopilot as she walked home, her brain not having any more thoughts.

Chapter 6: Hey Author-nim, welcome back. Thank you for continuing the story.

Siyeon almost set the kitchen on 🔥 while cooking? 😂 and Gahyeon teasing her about it made it funnier.
Does Yooh always hug Si like that whenever she sees her?
Yooh inhaling her food is just like my sister rushing hers when she's excited for something or somewhere.
They really had a great time in the fair, even emo Siyeon enjoyed herself too. I can see why they didn't want to leave.
A giant 🐶 winning a giant 🐶. I always wonder why people spend 💰 to win in those rigged games while they can buy it at much cheaper price elsewhere. Maybe it's because of the excitement.
This chapter is fun filled. Thank you again.
Have a nice day. See you

Chapter 5: Yo I just read and this seems like such a good Siyoo story!! I love the setting and it has so much potentional, please continue writing if you feel motivated, I would love to hear how it all pans out in the endd. Out of all the Siyoo fics ive read here honestly this seems like one with the best/most interesting plot and you're writing is really good too! Again take your time, I understand exactly what you mean with lack of motivation.

If you feel unsatisfied with the last chapter I'd say listen to your gut and rewrite it as you feel it should be. Personally I think it was great, it was a good set up for the next day fair activites that would play out, as well I enjoyed the Siyoo interaction, with subtle fluff and kinda embarresed Yoohyeon, it was so cute!!!

So yeah ik Im repeating myself but basically I think your last chapter was great and you really dont have to rewrite but you are the author so do what you think is best. Take your time but i would really really appreciate it if you would consider to continue this since you have it all planned out and the plot is FANTASTIC!!

Take care, thx for making this in the first place <3
