Lee Chaeyeon is a dance instructor whose life crossed paths with the food obsessed social media influencer, Kang Hyewon.

Chaeyeon lay in her bed that night, with a phone in her hand. It was past midnight but she was still wide awake. It’s been three days since she went out with Hyewon. 

She’s not much of a social media person, in average she posts on Instagram only twice a month, and it’s mostly food or her dance videos. But looking through Hyewon’s account, the one with more than 20 thousand followers, she can’t help it, but was hanging the entire time.

Hyewon is beautiful. Too beautiful, and she’s also really photogenic and she’s amazing at taking selfies. All of her photos looked like they’re meant for magazine spread.

She looked at her last post. It was 6 hours ago. It was the photo of herself at a cozy looking café. She put a set of three photos, each of them were only slightly different in poses. Her dress shirt and jacket was on point, and her makeup was on point too. Seems like the public agreed with her, as the post received more than 10 thousand likes. There were hundreds of comments, complimenting her looks and style, asking her for beauty tip and also about the clothes she’s wearing.

Suddenly, she wondered who Hyewon went out with. And it makes her feel jealous somehow.

Chaeyeon shook off the thoughts and scrolled through the pictures. There were also photos of her with her family. There were photos of her and Eunbi on yacht along with their family. There were also photos of her and her friends, happily holding glasses of champange by the fire on a beach. Her life looked so lavish and perfect.

She exited Instagram and put her phone aside.

The room was dark but she laid there, wide awake. She let out a sigh into the darkness of the night.

“Get over yourself, Lee Chaeyeon. It’s impossible for her to like you.”
