Chaos.

The eclipse raging above gave a menacing red glare as hurried footsteps ran up the grand stairs leading to his temple.  The temple guards held up their spears in defence, already on high alert from the frantic shouts reverberating through the large valley. It wasn't often the palace folk came by his temple. But, it made sense now. The guards could feel it, the darkness looming over their heads.  
"Overseer!" A man and woman clothed in the palace's burgundy royal tunics yelled in a symphony of terror.  

 Only moments before laughter broke out among the palace walls as the people danced. Sat on the throne was the king, wife by his side. Every eclipse the palace threw a party where all people were invited into the luxurious walls to feast off of red wine and the hunters latest, best kill-- reserved only for a king. But then it came. It came like frost, cold and creeping. The band halted its tune and the dancing instantly stopped when the king suddenly stood with a panicked look on his face. He felt it. They soon would too.

Like clockwork a black mist soon formed in the middle of the ballroom, instantly separating the masses with shocked, confused shouts. It almost looked like a tornado until a face could be seen through the dark, and soon their whole body.  A familiar woman stepped out of the mist with a sly smirk as her eyes swept over the feast before her eyes. But that wasn't what caught the kings attention.

In her left hand, proud and prominent, was the staff. The goddess of mischief.

"Looks like I'm late to the party. Or perhaps it has just begun." The northern queens voice broke through the deathly silence, immediately causing a ripple reaction. The people backed up impossibly further as they stared the woman down with fear. The king not once took his eyes off the woman, shaking his head.

"Why are you here, Jennie."
