Ryujin honestly really wanted to punch Yeji in the face. It was nearly twelve midnight, but here she was walking towards her best friend’s apartment to retrieve her beloved plush toy. All because the big baby forgot the one thing she can’t sleep without.

See, the thing is, the pair of best friends planned to hang out at Ryujin’s house for the weekend. The younger was obviously very excited and she expected to have a lot of fun. What she didn’t expect was her best friend to whine about her favorite plushie AND have the nerve to tell her to go get it for her.

Well, what could Ryujin do? Her own mother ordered her to go get it for the poor girl.

“I swear, it’s like Yeji-unnie is her daughter, and not me!”

So now here she was, going up the elevator of Yeji’s apartment building, a few blocks away from her own home. Only her phone and favorite jacket with her. Oh, and of course a face mask. This was another reason why Ryujin wanted to punch Yeji. South Korea was literally in the middle of fighting a pandemic. Stupid virus.

Her life could be in danger, and yet her own mother simply gives her a mask and sends her off on her way. Just how ridiculous is that? Yeji better be grateful that she loves her.

Now, Ryujin was here at the front door of her best friend's unit. She used the key that Yeji handed her, and as the door opened she was surprised to see the lights open.

'Wait, is someone here?' she thought. She was suspicous about it, and immediately prepared herself in case there was a robber. She crept through room as silently as she can, but was immediately stopped when she heard a distantly familiar voice accompanied with some footsteps.

"Yeji-yah?" It was certainly a female voice and Ryujin was sure it was a sound she's heard more than once in her life.

'Did Yeji get a girlfriend without telling me?' The blue haired girl shook her head. There was no way that her dumb best friend would do that. She decided continue walking to her friend's room, but she froze when a girl she definitely knew entered her sight. It was her senior, and Yeji's batchmate, Choi Jisu. The school princess. It was more rare to find a person who doesn't crush on the charming girl. And Ryujin can't keep her eyes off her at all. What the hell was she doing here of all places??

"Uhhhh....." the younger trailed off, while Jisu merely looked at her in confusion. The two merely looked at each other in silence. Ryujin felt like she was being delusional. There was no way that this was happening.

"Well you definitely aren't Yeji." Jisu eventually said. Ryujin could only nod in response. Hearing that voice pretty much confirmed that she wasn't hallucinating. Just what the hell is the Choi Jisu doing in Yeji's apartment?

"Wait, blue hair? Are you Shin Ryujin? You know, my roommate's best friend?" the older girl asked. Ryujin felt her jaw drop. Roommate? Hwang Yeji had a roommate this entire time? Ryujin felt dumb. How did she not notice after how many times she's gone over to hang out with her best friend?

"Uh...yeah. That's me. I uh never knew Yeji-unnie had a roommate. It's nice to meet you." she replied awkwardly. Inside, Ryujin was panicking. Why did Yeji's roommate have to be so beautiful?

"I'm Choi Jisu. Nice to meet you as well. I can't believe that girl forgot to tell you she had a roommate! You must have been so shocked. Anyway, what are you here for?"

"Umm...unnie left her plushie so she asked me to get it for her. She's at my place now actually." Jisu nodded at her words.

"I see. Yeji really needs to stop being so forgetful. Well, I won't keep you here for much longer. I'll just be watching some TV if you need anything." Ryujin nodded and thanked the older girl and continued towards Yeji's room.

She noticed that her room was more disorganized than it usually was. Yeji's blankets aren't as neatly folded as it tended to be, and the papers on her desk were in a complete disarray. It made her wonder what happened to her friend and perhaps Yeji wanted to talk about it today in their sleepover.

Ryujin shook her thoughts out of her head and went to her best friend's bedside table, where she usually kept a stuffed bear she's had since they were kids. She grabbed the toy and immediately went out.

"I have what I need. Thanks Jisu. It was a pleasure to meet you, I hope we get to know each other more in the future." she managed to say without stuttering. Though, Ryujin kept their eye contact a minimum. She doubts she can handle looking at such a beauty for long. The older girl simply waves and smiles at her warmly as the blue haired girl exits the unit.

Once the door clicks shut, Jisu couldn't help but let out a laugh. She didn't expect one of the school's well known heartthrobs to be this awkward or bashful. Shaking her head, she puts her attention back to the variety show she was watching. However, it didn't take long for her thoughts to stray once more. She couldn't help but feel disappointed that her forgetful roommate didn't introduce them sooner. The younger girl looked very adorable and soft in her eyes.

A complete opposite of the cool and smug girl she sees at their school.

However, her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by loud, rather frantic knocks on the door. Who could it be? Jisu was hoping that the blue haired girl forgot something so that she can see her again.

'Wait, did I just think that?' Shaking her head, she stands up to open the door. Her eyes widened as she was surprised to see Shin Ryujin with a cop behind her. She raised an eyebrow at the younger girl, completely confused.

"As you can see officer, this is my roommate. I told you, I live here. I just needed to go out, and I swear I really knew nothing. There really is no need to bring me in for questioning." the blue haired girl rushes out in a panic. Jisu felt her jaw drop, but she sees the nervousness in Ryujn's eyes and decides to help her out.

"Ah yes sir. This kid here is my roommate. I just sent her out since we were running low on sugar. Is there a problem?" The officer cleared his throat and explained the situation to the girl.

"The city has been placed into lockdown because of the new virus, so for now, no one is allowed to go out of their homes. Usually, we'd bring offenders to the station for questioning, and potential quarantine, but this one kept insisting that she lived here. I guess I could excuse this once, but the next time I see you outside, please do cooperate Ms. Shin." he said. The two girls immediately nodded and watched as the cop walked away after bidding them a good evening.

The pair then entered the unit and sat down in the living room.

"So uh, roommates, huh?" Jisu started.

"Sorry about that. I was panicking and I didn't want to be arrested and it was the first thing that came to mind."

"It's fine, Ryujin. What are you going to do about it though? That officer seemed pretty clear that we should all stay in for now."

"Well, uh, is it fine with you...may I stay here for the time being? I'll just take Yeji-unnie's room. I'm sure she'll be fine with it."

"Of course! There's nothing much we can do about it now. I'll just head to my room now, so you can have some privacy. I look forward to these next few days, roommate!" And with that the older girl walks off to her own room. Ryujin lets out a breath she doesn't know she held in. This entire situation is insane. She can't possibly spend an unknown amount of days with a stranger. She lets out another sigh as she sends a text to her mom. And it didn't take long for her to recieve a message from Hwang Yeji herself, who was probably informed of the situation from her mother.

Hwang Yeddong >;(:

I bet you're sooooooo surprised right now, right??? Hehehehehehe

Ryuddaeng <3:

You think????? How am I supposed to feel about living with my CRUSH for a few days???!! I swear, once I get my hands on you....YOU.ARE.DEAD!!!

It was past five minutes after she sent that text, and she knew her best friend didn't plan on replying to her any time soon. Ryujin really wanted to punch Hwang Yeji.
