Why didn't you tell us?Dami fought.
She fought as hard as she could, but she knew it's not getting any better but worse. Her dosage of painkillers just keeps increasing and she knew sooner or later, she might not be able to hold on to the pain anymore.
But...
She didn't tell them, she didn't want them to worry more. They all thought she was getting better as she was being more cheerful but the fact is that she is not. Doctor Im didn't tell the girls as well as per Dami's request but he did pay more attention to the younger daily in case of any emergency.
"Yoobin ssi" Doctor Im started as Dami step into the room
The only time where they can actually speak without the others around is when she is having her Radiotherapy as the girls are always with her 24/7.
"I got your most recent report" He continued
Dami kept silent the whole time as she knew what was coming
"I'm sorry," He said and Dami took the cue to raise her hand up to stop him
"I know what is going on with my body, It's okay Doctor... I know you have tried your best" She said softly "How long do I have?"
"There has been a miracle that happened before, it's not totally uncurable..." Doctor m said earnestly
"If I were to stop treatment... how long do I have?" Dami asked again ignoring what he said
"I give it a maximum of 6 months if your body is holding up well," Doctor Im said "but I would really propose that you stay on with the treatment, there might still be a chance"
"Stage 4 Doctor... How many people actually did survive? You know all the side effects are killing me inside out and the painkillers are almost useless already... I want to stop all the sufferings if the end is the same regardless" Dami spoke
"Will they agree?" He asked
"They promised" Dami stated firmly
The conversation ended once Dami started on her treatment, she felt the unknown relieve that everything is going to end after all but she was also afraid. There are still so many things she wanted to do for so many people.
"Doctor Im" Dami called out after the treatment
"Yes?"
"When can I stop the treatments?" Dami asked again
She is very determined this time round
"As soon as you want actually... You have the rights to make the decision. Yoobin ssi, only you can make the right decision for your life" Doctor Im said
"Thank you, Doctor Im, really... I'm really thankful for all the care you have given to me all these months" Dami said gratefully
"I will prescribe some painkillers for you as soon as you get discharged, my phone is on standby as well" Doctor Im replied where Dami just threw him a smile before leaving
