Foreword
As she was on her way to her new base, wheein felt nervous. Even though training in the military academy wasn’t easy and included many hardships, she felt serving in an actual base will be so much harder.
"miss, we're here, KCTC (Korean combat training center) " said the bus driver, waking up the sleeping soldier.
Wheein woke up from her sleep. Outside everything seemed very serious. She took her giant bag and walked to the gates of the base. She approached the guarding soldier and asked him where can she find the medical unit of the base. He explained gently and sent her on her way. Everyone looking so... hot, she thought to herself. She always thought people in uniform, guys or girls, looked very attractive.
After walking for a while, she saw a tiny building at the corner of the street "KCTC medical unit and clinic".
She entered.
“Hello, I am looking for major kim taeyeon, the unit’s commander”. she asked.
“Of course, go straight ahead this way and her office is the last one”. The nice lady making coffee at the small kitchen explained.
She arrived. She took a deep breath and knocked.
“Yes, come in” the major stated.
“Hello major kim, I’m private jung wheein, the new paramedic, at your service”.
“Of course, of course, I’ve been waiting for you'' the impressive officer smiled at her.
They had their opening conversation. The major stated the rules and explained basic information about the base schedule and events.
"if you need anything, my door is always open, I probably won't be here, but it will be open" the major said in a serious face.
Wheein seemed confused.
"it’s a joke, rookie, don’t worry, we have great people here you'll be fine" she calmed her down.
"come, I’ll introduce you to the rest of your team. They will be your family from now on" she said.
