"What do you think, Minari?"   The soon to be bride turned around showing off the people within the room how her wedding gown hugged perfectly on her body showing off her curves. Everyone was in astonishment to see how the lady looks so young despite of her age. Elders smile remembering their youth and the other couples felt excited about what is soon to come on their way.    "Momo will fall in love with you all over again." I commented and she giggled as a response.   "Go try your dress too, yah!" She walk brusquely as if the wedding gown isn't heavy at all, pushing me with a box casing the dress I'll be wearing five days from now.   "Yeah right." That's all I have to say with the audacity of her to make me the maid of honor after telling me about the wedding just two days ago. It's a Minatozaki thing indeed.    As soon as I got inside the fitting room, I heard her footsteps getting away leaving me no choice but to follow her instructions so I could go straight to my parents' house and enjoy Christmas Eve with them. It surprisingly is almost compatible with my size. My cupsize grew over the years so I have to atleast tell her about it.   I got out showing her my outfit and finally get her satisfied. Sana's smile instantly widen, her eyes almost closing along it.   "Eh hey, what do we got here?" she catcalled like an old man. "Looking good, Mitang! You look so hot! Your girl might tryna score after my wedding." She teased with a wink that instantly made me raise an eyebrow.   "I don't have a girlfriend, Sana. I'm single."   The thin eyesmile turned into its opposite in an instance. "You are what?"   I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "Duh, work. That's what I'm dating these days."   She pouted as if I'm not, by any chance, a trustworthy dorm mate for over four years.   "How on Earth..." Sana rubbed her temples heaving a deep breath. "Minari you didn't change at all, oh my gosh! Fine, you change clothes now. We're going somewhere."   "But the chest part feels ti–"   "No, that's perfect. No changes needed. You look ier with that size.   Even my frown got ignored because she's so into pulling me off the building and onto her car. Her gaze is straight and she won't dare look at me any sooner. She even ignored me when I asked where the heck we are heading to.   But she doesn't need to answer me at all. When I saw the familiar road we're passing by, I was more than sure where we're trying to head to.   "Who's my cute baby boy? Who is it? Who is? It's my baby Dongy–"    "Uhh, hi." Sana and I shared an awkward smile with no other than Yoo Nayeon.    "WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE, OH MY, DEAR! MIND CLOSING THE DOOR!" Nayeon eonni panicked. I quickly closed the door for her while Sana proceeded talking to her initiating her unknown business.    "IT'S NOT OUR FAULT YOU'RE NOT LOCKING YOUR DOOR, IM NAYEON! AND WHY DO YOU HAVE TO FEED RIGHT INFRONT OF THE ENTRANCE?"   "THAT'S YOO NAYEON FOR YOU, MINATOZAKI. DONGYEON WANTS TO GET HIS MILK HERE, HE GETS HIS MILK HERE."   The baby interrupted the loud exchange of her mother and godmother's arguments when he started crying out loud. Nayeon attended her young offering him milk but it’s no use. She’s beginning to panic on another level and Sana tried helping by talking the kid and swaying him cheerfully but to no luck, Dongyeon won’t stop making noise.    The two ladies eyed me with Sana slightly handing me over the baby. I never had carried one and I’m too scared that I might hurt Dongyeonie when I do so but there’s no harm with trying. I carefully prepared my arms, securely holding Nayeon’s infant then I hummed him a song that I used to listen to during my college years, swaying him ever so gently to the rhythm of it.   You've thrown a stone  At my quiet heart  Maybe you don't know  Tell me, maybe what you said before  Was just a joke, oh   Dongyeon gradually drifts to deep slumber. The two women smiled in admiration of what they just witnessed.    “I guess the favorite aunt has been decided.”   “You’ll do well as a mother in the future.”   Sana and Nayeon’s remarks respectively made me shy and all blush. The moment of silence lasted when we heard a creaking sound from the doorway and Jeongyeon started speaking.   “Dear, why do you have to lock the door? I said I’ll be just out for around ten minutes-“   Nayeon quickly shushed her wife from a short distance, pointing a peacefully sleeping baby. Dongyeon stirred a little from the noise but eventually came back to his dreamland. The peace was once again obliterated not because of the baby but because of the taller mother this time.    “OH MY GOSH DEAR, YOUR NOSE!” Nayeon mouthed with audible sounds enough to not wake up the baby. All our eyes shifted to Jeongyeon only to find out that blood drips from her nose while her eyes are fixated on her wife’s slightly revealed bust.   Sana shook her head while Nayeon threw her wife a baby clothe landing straight to her face.   “ert.”   - - -   Sana and Nayeon decided to talk in a more secluded room hinting that they needed some private time. Jeongyeon is left with me in the living room, keeping Dongyeon’s toys scattered by the floor.   “I see Dongyeonie got your love for legos.” I decided to start a decent conversation for the first time on this day.   Jeongyeon shrugged and chuckled. “He’s being spoiled a lot by my best pal. Not that he actually likes playing with the legos in the first place but he grew fond of it since her quote unquote favorite aunt buys him everything he both wants and needs.”   I turned to the sleeping baby on my arms and poked his little nose.    “You’re one lucky child for having lots of aunts to spoil you.” When Jeongyeon finished she gave a little laugh as a late reaction to what I’ve just said.   “But judging what happened earlier, I guess you and my best pal would need to battle over to be my little boy’s favorite aunt.”   “I’ll give her a nice game.” I replied, hinting my competitiveness with the mini competition for the title.    “I don’t know, Myoui. She’s not an easy match either.” Jeong stood up and picked up the duster and went to the shelf full of some familiar books. Some of which are the books I’ve written.   “You bought my books?” I humbly ask out of gratitude and vast interest.   Jeongyeon noticed the safely stocked books on their shelf that she kept looking presentable as time immemorial and smiled. “Actually,” there’s a pause, “my best pal bought all these since she is an avid fan of you.”    My brows furrowed with the newly acquired information. First, is because the couple did not actually buy my books. It made me feel a little disappointed. Second, my rival for being Dongyeon’s favorite aunt is my fan. It makes me guilty to be in this amateur competition.   “I’d like to meet your best pal. She sounds interesting.”   Jeongyeon’s smile turned into a grin. It seems like she won something and it captured my interest more.   “Worry not. She has been interested with you the whole time. You’ll meet her, I guess. That is if she’s not too much of a scaredy cat to see you.”   I’m getting more and more familiar with what she’s been trying to lead the conversation into.   “My bad, it’s ‘scaredy tiger’ for you.” Jeongyeon handed me one of the books I’ve written, the 'Wild Photograph' and turned to the preface where the publisher of my books, the company I owe my life, is printed with its mighty name and logo.   I placed Dongyeon on the safe baby space allotted for him on the couch. Once I got my handy penguin pen from my purse, I signed the book with a smile. The older lady returned the positive vibes.   “Changbi is a nice company.” Jeongyeon stated. I hummed.   She began returning the book to its original place in the shelf, meticulously arranging the whole pile. Along the process, one weirdly familiar hardbound book fell from the same stock she’s fixing. I can’t handle just looking at her do all the work so I decided to help her out.    Upon grabbing the poor book from the floor, my curiosities increased. It’s my book but it doesn’t have the print of Changbi’s logo by the preface. I turned it to the 23rd page only to prove my speculations right.   “Eonni?”   “Myoui, how many times do I have to tell you to just call me by my name? Drop the honorifics.” She sternly commanded.   “Ugh, fine. Jeong, why do you have this on your shelf?”   “Because it’s a book?” I groaned.   “I know this is a book but why do you have an unbranded copy of Love and Pastries?”   Her eyes shifted somewhere else but my direction. She may put up a straight unbothered face but I knew she’s hiding something.   “We really wanted to read the book but it’s so rare these days so we printed our own copy.” I remained unconvinced.   “Jeongyeon.”   “Ok, ok! That’s the copy my best pal sent to Changbi publishers because she thought it’s a really nice book.”   Her words echoed in my head.    "That's the copy my best pal sent to Changbi publishers because she thought it's a really nice book."    "my best pal"   I’m still in shock. All these times, I owe my success to the same person who helped me out finishing my first book. Just in time, Sana and Nayeon came out of the room catching the scene of a nervous Jeongyeon and the unbranded book on my hand.   The woman beside me mouthed “I’m sorry” to her wife making the latter massage her temples and Sana heave a deep sigh.   - - -   We all gathered by the couch. So the sudden visit to the Yoo residence doesn’t have anything to do with the wedding but it was all about me. I prepare myself with anything they’ve got to say. My questions only grew in number every passing second.   “We all thought you were already with someone so we all tried to ke

Chapter 6: Damn, i read this in one sitting. This is beautiful and a bit angsty. Mina's perspective in romance, life and herself matches the flow of the story, the way you wrote it in such a way gives enough justice on how the story ends, more like continues. This is so well written. I'm really glad that I read it. Thank you. :>
