“Sof, let me recap back what you say.”

Yena brings her palm to her nape as she had difficulties in churning Sof’s words regarding Dark Spot spreading throughout Wizland. As much as she is eager to put a stop on this weird phenomenon which causes massive headaches for Wizland inhabitants, Yena knows that something must be going on for such a thing to happen in the first place. Thus, she confronts Sof while blocking the girl’s view from the sleeping Yuri inside the glass box.

“You say that this Dark Spot thing is being spread by someone from the Demon’s Lord faction for the sake of preparing for their master’s comeback?”

A brief nod from Sof is what makes Yena sighed deeply. She is still unaware about Chaewon’s involvement in this matter as Yena is busy finding a cure for Yuri’s unknown condition. One thing that she knows for sure, by defeating those Dark Spots and purifying the infected land, some color returns to Yuri which is good for the sleeping girl. Yena closed her eyes as she reminisced the moment of stumbling upon Yuri again.

“Yuri…”

Yena pushed her hands on top of the glass box, hoping that Yuri’s voice would ring again but to no avail. Frustration built inside her chest as she was finally able to see Yuri again after wandering for a long time and when they are finally in front of each other but being separated by a thin yet sturdy layer of glass box, Yena couldn’t help but feel outrageous. She still couldn’t comprehend Yuri’s words of begging Yena to save their sisters and hoping that Yena won’t hate Yuri.

“How can I hate you, Yuri-ya when you’re the most important person for me.”

She never say this thing out loud but Yena really enjoy Yuri’s company all along despite the younger girl often act bratty and often sulking like a baby. All along, Yena thought that she can vibe well with Yuri but that’s all in the past. Due to some circumstances, Yena decides to bid her sisters goodbye when she receives a special quest which is only available for her. As much as she didn’t want to part with the girls, Yena thought that she must take this quest which might give a hint to bring back Eunbi with them and then… They all can live happily ever after again, just like before.

She received such words after breaking sweats in unlocking her next level of job. Well, after forming a contract with her partner back when they were in Tordu Mountain, Rei the Golden Dragon, Yena got the title of a knight in that instance. Since then she had been polishing her skills as she realized that there’s still a lot of improvement she can make if Yena exert more effort. However, not long after she was able to unlock a hidden class ‘Holy Knight’, a title available upon slaying monsters crawling from a newly made dungeon. Yena wipes away sweats formed on her forehead as she scrolled the newly received message. To her surprise, a pop up appeared as she tried reading through the message.

[Prevent the Disaster]

“What disaster?”

As if to answer Yena’s question, another lengthy message appeared in front of her and Yena took her time to read every word written within it while resting her thumbs and index finger on her cheek and chin respectively.

[Holy Knight,

Your role is to prevent an upcoming disaster which is about to fall upon Wizland! Seek for the solution and save this land altogether from being turned into shambles. You have exactly 12 months to prevent this disaster from happening.

Yena chewed her cheeks, preventing herself from cursing out loud from the outrageous quest. She let out a groan as she sprawled on the ground, speechless upon seeing such an outrageous quest for her. She didn’t even have the choice to decline it, putting Yena in a tight spot. She closed her eyes briefly, thinking about 11 important faces before steeling her resolution. She needs to clear this mission quickly no matter what it takes so that she won’t face the penalty upon failure.

“Who the heck sent me this quest? Don’t they know that it didn’t hurt to provide more details to help me? What am I, a game character?”

Yena babbles as she dusted off her clothes and readied herself to collect more information. She can’t waste her time when the clock is already ticking fast.

Her mind snapping back to Yuri when she heard rustles and jostles coming from the bushes. Yena knows that her mind is already messy with her ty quest and those unthinkable penalties for failure and now she has to crack Yuri’s mysterious words towards her. She already had it enough, frustrated about everything in this world.

“I found you, owner of Holy Sword.”

When she heard that voice again, Yena couldn’t help but groans in frustration, knowing that this group of knights smells nothing but trouble for her. Clicking her tongue, Yena put back her hood and covered her face with a mask before hopping on Rei’s back, readying themselves to obliterate this pesky knight squad.

“Wait! We meant no harm to you! I see the person behind you might be affected by the Dark Spot!”

Upon hearing those words from the petite girl whom Yena barely remembers as Sof; the Wiz Knight captain, Yena lowered her swords but was still standing on Rei’s back. She felt intrigued by Sof’s words as Yena herself had no clue on what was happening to Yuri. She knows that she can’t do everything alone anymore and thus, Yena thought that maybe she can use this girl who seems awfully desperate somehow.

“Spill. You got 30 seconds.”

“I got some connection with the Church, they can help with people who are affected by Dark Spot.”

Biting her inner cheek, Yena scowled at this petite girl while her mind was running wild. She wants to hear more about this Dark Spot for sure but somehow, Yena feels uneasy when she is stared by a lot of people with a hostile gaze. Their attention isn’t on her but rather, on her sword, Solar Jaune. Admiration mixed with jealousy swirled in the air as all eyes were eyeing on her precious sword, making Yena slightly nervous while facing them but she tried her best not to show it on her face.

“How can I know that I can trust you?”

She sheaths her sword and points it towards Sof who is rooted in front of Yena, wearing a bewildered face.

“This imbecile-”

When a knight standing behind the petite girl drawing out his sword, Yena is more than ready to finish him off. If there’s anything she learned from her harsh living in Wizland for the past three months, it is not to let your enemy overwhelm you.

“Stop it, she’s right. We look way too suspicious.”

However, those simple lines from Sof halted Yena’s sword from slicing that prideful knight’s neck. Yena can feel rising tense around the place as they witness how good Yena is with Solar Jaune. Members of Wiz Knight by no means are weak as they all are the cream crop of all knights across the land. Thus, it is a huge blow for them to see a mere frail-looking adventurer girl able to almost kill one of their knights. Instinctively, they all raise their swords to eradicate this rebellious girl who seems didn’t want to cooperate with them at all.

“Everyone put your swords down!”

As if all of them are being possessed by their insecurities of being beaten by a mere female adventurer, the rest of the knight rushed towards Yena while swinging their swords with all might. Knowing that she will be in deep trouble if she ever kills all of these knights, Yena clicked her tongue as she snarled at Sof.

“It seems that your men need more training. How do you even discipline them when they don't obey your command?”

With that, Yena ordered Rei to stomped the ground hard enough which shakes the earth and threw those knights off-balance. Taking her chance, Yena immediately leaped in the air while knocking off their hand, forcing those knights to drop those swords to the ground.
