The world is no drama, Song Mino learned this on the day he came of age.

If the world was a drama, he'd have been born on a silver platter and walking a flowery path. He'd be wearing suits and expensive watches. He'd be inheriting a huge company and various properties; mansions, cars, Ferrari, Lamborghini and sorts. Even girls.

He could get anything he wished just because he was an Alpha.

But the world is no drama, so Mino just settles with a normal Alpha life he has right now; a set of black lungs tainted by cheap cigarettes, a cluttered living space, a stressful final year, a mix-and-match wardrobe, and a constant pressure from his family who wishes him to take over their family restaurant.

It's not as exciting as the evening drama his mother loves to watch, but it's manageable despite the occasional slumps, so Mino doesn't dislike it.

Morning classes are exceptional, though. No, no, he doesn't dislike them. How can he when he hates them to the core.

"I'm dying, kill me," Mino groans into his folded arms on the table. Drowsiness is a real threat to his life.

"That's the fourth time I heard you say that, and the class hasn't even started yet," Seunghoon says, eyes on his phone as he scrolls down the news.

"Am in agony~!" Mino half shouts, only to have his cheek pinched by Seunghoon. Then he groans again, "Stupid class, stupid morning. Why do mornings even exist?"

Seunghoon snorts, "That doesn't even make any sense."

"I'm being… philo, pillow—what's the word, urgh, I don't care anymore."

"Clearly mornings kill your brain cells."

There's a clack on the front door. The hall falls silent, eyes on the door. Mino lifts his head in response to the sudden silence, thinking it could be the lecturer.

No, not the lecturer. It's Kang Seungyoon, the aloof, emo kid. All pairs of eyes are glued to him, Mino is no exception, as Kang Seungyoon crosses the room to a corner, eyes down to earth. 

Huh. 

Kang Seungyoon is always seen wearing a black hoodie to cover himself, hence the name. He doesn't talk to people. His strides are quick like he has no time to waste. His worn-out bag looks heavy too.

There's a lot of rumours about Kang Seungyoon, Mino recalls.

To be frank, Mino doesn't care about them. Rumours are rumours, after all. None of them is considered true unless proven so.

There's one thing about Kang Seungyoon, though, that everyone knows, that makes him known in the campus, that's revealed by the hint of a black collar around his neck.

Kang Seungyoon is an Omega. A male Omega. Living proof of genetic faults in humans. A cursed existence in their society.

It's all because they're scientifically proven infertile in spite of the Omega DNAs inside their body.

Hah, society and their backward thinking, Mino scorns. 

The lecturer enters the hall just a minute later. Mino watches Kang Seungyoon from the corner of his eye, only to get whacked around the head by Seunghoon after.

"Please get the out of here," Jinu says with an angelic smile on his beautiful face.

Mino hides his face in his book, pretending like Jinu isn't standing at their table right now, while Seunghoon laughs that business-like laugh. "Aish, Kim Jinwoo-sshi, is this how you treat your customers? This ain't right. No good for your business. I wanna see your manager. Manager-sshi, yuhu, manager-sshi~"
