It was my first summer as a college student. I was looking forward to the three months of R&R, I totally needed the break. Plus, this was my chance to catch up with all of my high school friends. The thought of seeing them again after not seeing them for what seemed like ages made me excited, but kind of nervous. Unfortunately, my mother wanted me to spend the summer with her and her new family. Being the obedient daughter that I am, I agreed. This was probably the most stupid decision that I ever made...or the best.
