I didn't like to believe in fate, destiny or anything of that sort that controlled what happened in my life, but sometimes things were so amazing that it was hard to contradict.

The people who come and go do for a reason. They teach a lesson and one thing's for sure, it doesn't happen by accident.

Everything happens for a reason.

I talked to my new friends a lot during class. I wanted to feel like I was a part of their group. I wanted to live their adventures through their narration.

So many things had happened and they lived so happily that I couldn't help, but envy them. I wanted to be like that.

We exchanged numbers and I started having a group of friends, so quickly.

And I helped them by catching them up with everything that happened in class. We ate together and laughed a lot whenever they would tell me everything they had to go through to come back, like how they took a lift from a man who was traveling with his dead wife and dog or when a circus picked them up to take them to another place, that was the time Donghae learned juggling and Sunmi learned how to contort.

But that wasn't enough for me. I wanted to know more. I wanted to be a part of them, to be in one of their adventures. I wanted for them to talk about the time Hyukjae did this, or Hyukjae jumped off this place or stopped a car. The world they had...that's the world I wanted.

Two months passed and we kept talking. I got closer to Sunmi and Hani as it turned out we had many things in common. We went out to eat, watch movies, shopping.

Everything was confusing with Donghae. I didn't know how he was going to act, what his next move was, he was so unpredictable and he never failed to surprise me.

In a way, I liked that about him.

"Are we going to Hyuna's party? It's tonight, but we have a physics test tomorrow." Hani looked at herself through the bathroom mirror while applying red lipstick.

Sunmi and I were reading a fashion magazine while sitting on a heater that didn't work since school opened. "I want to go," she pouted,"How long has it been since we've gone out to a party?"

"Like a week?" I raised an eyebrow. "Remember? I told my mom we would be at your house and your brother covered for us."

Yes, these two months had been the best yet.

She laughed,"Well yeah, but I meant a good party."

"It was a really good one. Hani, if I remember correctly, ended up in the men's restroom." Sunmi and I laughed hysterically. Now I know why they told me not to feel so bad about my incident in the restroom. Though it was too much for me.

The trouble I got in with them weren't that bad. It was always just going to parties and getting home late. I did tell my mom some things we did, like sleeping in their houses. I also never felt younger than them even though I was only 17 and they were 19, they never made me feel less. They made me feel confident and worthy. Although I would never be as good looking as them. It's kind of stupid comparing my looks with theirs as we are different gender, but even when comparing them with other girls they  were gorgeous. They were so flawless...no pimples, long eyelashes, long and silky smooth hair. They had known each other for so long, they were maybe 10 or 11 years old when they met in class. They lived a crazy life, but never forced me to do anything they did, they always took care of me. I guess deep down they still kept in mind that I was underage....

Donghae would always send me a message whenever we would go out to make sure everything was alright. "He's such a party pooper," Hani would say, but it was such a sweet action to me and he also knew how his friends were. It was better to be safe than sorry.

"Well, we can go to Sunmi's house in the afternoon to study, then go to the party and come back in time to take the test," I suggested.

"I love that little head of yours," Sunmi jumped,"What would we do without you? Let me call mom."

"Same, I'll say we're having a sleepover," Hani smiled.

I felt so happy to feel like I was part of the group. I never felt like this even when I was with Siwon, you see, with them I had to act fake and judge others. Donghae and the rest didn't judge, I could be myself and they accepted me. I guess that's the secret...always be yourself.

Class ended and I was putting away my things. Sunmi went for something to his brother's class and Hani went with her, we were going to meet up at the entrance to go to Sunmi's house.

Chapter 22: Thank you so much for translating and all your hard work! This story spoke to my heart. I believe I've found this story for a reason. now I'm leaving with a slightly different perspective on life itself. So beautiful, well written, insightful and poetic in it's own way. This story is a masterpiece.

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: The story is inspiring.
I think this is one of the best fics I've ever enjoyed. All of them have been through some many hurt and sorrow, those pasts changed their lives and made them a sober person than others under the drunken appearance. They all have their wises. This fact somehow gives hopes. There's no baddie, only story. (Just like how Donghae explained Siwon's act, everyone has their own life trajectory)
Good story, I appreciate much.

Haven't read this yet, but as a bit of advice maybe you can post the dialogue (screen-shot it or any other ways) giving you the permission to translate the story. I saw other translators did so to prevent authorized problems.
